Absolutely awful! They don't listen! They will greatly misdiagnose you! I had to go to three "therapists" to get "something" out of it! You'll end up worse if you go there! The billing dept. was fine. The intake was exceptionally weird. That lady was a total weirdo who needs to see a psychiatrist. There are many people who need to see a psychologist not be one . One of the "psychologists " was gossiping to his boss about my problems; I never knew that , he never said that, until I got a surprise! My boss , he said, that we can't continue our sessions with you because xyz. And cut me loose. These people are losers and baffling that they are in this profession. read more

I was just recommended here because I switched insurance and still need my meds prescribed. I had the weirdest intake experience. The only time I got with a person was face to face with a financial gal and there was already something wrong with my insurance, they were billing a discontinued insurance I had ages ago and made it my all problem to have to take care of. Needed social security card too and no one told me I needed to bring it. Then the most hilarious part was my intake appointment, they sat me down in an empty room with just a phone and I answered the call, which was some sort of provider, asked me all the questions about if I wanted to hurt myself etc, then after about 15 min set me up with an appointment for three months from now. Why did I have to drive on site just to have a phone conversation? Idiots Wtf are you doing being a mental health center that's so cold and uncaring? I could have been actively suicidal and, well too bad I'm going to have to wait three months for any sort of help to begin. This place is probably killing people this way.. So I still don't have my psych meds and will have to get them some other way. Which after being on them for about a decade I don't know if I will ever be able to taper off this poison, thanks for the help guys. If I didn't already know psychiatry is mostly a joke I would be so confused and humiliated and more at risk. I am 40 years old & have never once had a mental health evaluation or therapy session despite extreme abuse and trauma throughout my life. After nearly 3 years of trying to be seen by a mental health facility I finally had an intake appointment at Arcadia Mental Health. I was late due to being dependent on public transit & commuting while also experiencing heat exhaustion. Once I arrived I was informed that I would not be seen by a physician but they would be more than happy to take my financial information and reschedule. I am a human not a dollar sign. I will not be returning. The supervisor also smiles with "post crackhead veneers" while denying mental health. 0/10 read more

Got an appt, waited an hour during my appt time just to have an intake , and to be told that they only provide 6 sessions of counseling. Afterwards we are on our own to find another provider. They wasted 90 min of my time. And the lady racially profiled me bc of my surname by marriage. I really had high hopes for this place. read more

Well, I called to try and schedule an appointment and the lady who answered put me on hold for 47 minutes before I hung up. I consider myself a generally understanding and reasonable person. I know I'm not entitled to anything. But am I overreacting or is that kind of unacceptable? If this is how they handle a simple phone call, I have deep misgivings about how they treat the people really trying to get some help. I called back immediately to tell them what happened and the person who answered (different from the first) didn't seem to care much. He didn't even acknowledge my complaint until I straight up confronted him about it and asked if he thought that it was acceptable. I understand that it wasn't him who put me on hold for 47 minutes but most companies would at least try to sound apologetic. Look, I haven't actually received care here (since I couldn't even schedule an appointment) so I can't rate their treatment but this experience just gave me a really bad feeling about them. I'm sad and frustrated by this because I thought that these are the people that are supposed to care. I really hope that my experience was just a fluke and that the patients here are getting the aid that they need. Or else, at least I hope that this might serve as a wake up call for them. I attached a screenshot of the call log as proof. I wasn't exagerrating when I said I was on hold for 47 minutes. All in all, if you want to give this place a shot, go in personally. Don't try to schedule over the phone and don't expect too much from the front desk people. Getting the care you need is too important to miss out on because of difficult front desk workers. You getting the care you need is worth a little hassle. You are worth it. Another clinic that I've personally been to that takes Medi-Cal is Asian Pacific Clinic. Give them a try if this place doesn't work out for you. read more

If can put zero stars on this place I would. I went there seeking for help due to anxiety, depression, & PTSD. I was hoping I would receive help within a week or two when I applied there back in August. My first actual appointment wasn't until October 20th. After that I asked for a second appointment & the therapist never put it in the system. Then when I called back in December asking about another appointment I spoke with Wendy. She then scheduled me that appointment for JANUARY 28th. It is January 25th today & she calls again to say we need to reschedule my appointment to February 9th. Are you kidding me?! I applied to receive help since August, it is now the ending of January & I have only spoke to a therapist ONCE!! Just one time. I really had to go through all of it alone. Again, Do not go here!!! They don't not care to help you. They only make it worse. I did not want to receive any medication because I was pregnant at the time & now I am a full time breastfeeding mom & all I wanted was for someone to listen some help to get through it but all they kept asking was if I wanted medication. I refused multiple times but I felt like all they wanted to do was shove medication down my throat instead of actually doing their jobs. DO NOT COME HERE. read more

This place is terrible. Avoid at all costs. My daughter went there, feeling a little depressed and this counselor, Elsa, told her she needed to go to a hospital (she didn't) and LIED to her telling her it would only be for a couple of hours. She was taken somewhere 45 minutes away and placed on a mandatory 3 day hold. They would give me NO information on her, even after I told them she was autistic. Horrible, horrible place that did much more harm than good. Looking into legal action. read more

During the pandemic phone calls from the clinic , therapists, and doctors came from "NO CALLER ID" numbers. So, with all the scam callers who knew it was coming from a therapist or doctor? Especially when a patient is mentally ill and suffers from paranoia, calls from these numbers go unanswered. Then, when a voicemail MIGHT, OR MIGHT NOT be left, how is the patient to know it was their therapist or doctor? IN ADDITION, if a voicemail from a therapist or doctor IS left for the patient-and the patient calls back- guess what? They're told "sorry you missed your appointment " and "you need to reschedule". BUT the appointment will be further out so in essence the patient MISSES their monthly therapist or doctor appointment. AND - No in person appointments we're available for over a year and a half. so it was difficult to get any kind of care from this clinic. Most doctors and therapists were working from home and we were outright told were "extremely busy". This is a mental healthcare center! These patients are seeking help there because they NEED HELP. I don't think a pandemic justifies the lack of understanding or care many patients were given. Shouldn't more understanding of patients be given instead of less? Does working from home somehow mean these professionals couldn't continue to give compassionate care and service? In addition if you're looking for a nurse to give you a monthly injection don't count on one being available very often. Several times patients were told nurses were available at certain days/times when in reality it was hit and miss. How do I know all these things? Because I was the person taking care of my mentally ill family members and experienced every single one of these complaints. read more

I came to this clinic because I have schitzoaffective disorder, depression, and bipolar disorder, and just needed someone to prescribe meds, NOT because I needed therapy. I manage to take care of myself as long as I take meds. However, Dr. Agahkhaynan ( a " mental health" PROFESSIONAL), would not refill a prescription when I ran out. I spoke with my " nurse" there, who went over the facts thoroughly for 5 mins, taking detailed information on the FACTS that I did not have enough meds to make it to my next appt. She then relayed these facts to " Dr." Agahkhaynan who declared with solemn authority that " I had enough medication" after being presented with detailed information that clearly stated I didn't. It's a month later now and I've had to pay out of pocket for refills, and have my primary care physician prescribe meds. I just got done crying after calling Arcadia Mental Health today, speaking to a supervisor there( who is ALSO a " social worker"), who told me there's nothing she could do. I'm crying because THEY'RE the people who are supposed to care and take care of people with disabilities and see nothing unethical with letting a person with mental health problems go without medication. It's no different than corruption. The FACTS are: a client doesn't have medication. He goes through the proper channels I.e the nurse. She confirms the facts ( that the client DOESN'T have enough medication). She relays these facts to the " Dr." Who declares that I DO have enough medication. I speak to a supervisor there who basically says,"oh well", isn't surprised in the least that " mental health professionals at her clinic are letting clients run out of medication. The names"Dr., Nurse, Social Worker, all imply a certain level of concern for those who suffer, but In addition to not being cared for, I've received from them an additional level of pain in their responses to my surprise that this has happened. I feel less than human and like the lowest level of human and like I have NO value whatsoever as a human being. Nobody cares there that a person with mental disabilities is going to go without medication, and could deteriorate or have medical problems ( I mentioned these issues SPECIFICALLY with the "nurse" and the " social worker" today, who BOTH said " there's nothing I can do"). I guess when you have a P.H.D., or become a social worker, or a nurse you no longer have to actually care for the people you brag to society about caring for. Nurse,Karen laughed at me when I called to ask what labs my psychiatrist ordered, since my psychiatrist told me I could have my primary care physician do the labs since I didn't like going to Arcadia Mental Health. She laughed MULTIPLE times. All, I did was ask what labs my doctor ordered, and explained I don't like going there. I don't see how either of those things are funny.
