I like to leave reviews after I have had time to realize the significance of a product or service. Was it really good? Was it just okay? Or the pits?! So I've had time to really see the finished result of my brows. I am SO GLAD that I did this. And SO HAPPY with Rachel and the results she gave. After years of over-plucking I had very little eyebrows left. It was always a challenge finding a decent pencil, but they just looked drawn in. I've had permanent makeup done twice, the last time was about 10 years ago. But was never really happy with it because like the pencil, they looked drawn in. I had long dreaded the times I would sweat, have hot flashes!, or want to swim, because then it was bye-bye eyebrows. Then I heard about this thing called microblading. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY FOR MICROBLADING! DO NOT TRUST THEIR EXAMPLES/PICTURES! They show you all of these carefully selected pictures online of how your new microblade brows will look afterwards. Then, when they can't get your eyebrow hairlines to look natural, they'll want to just shade them in heavily, resulting in brows that look like you used a smudged crayon to draw on fake eyebrows. When the smudges or any hair lines wear off in a few days (and it will all horribly flake off!), you are left with blotchy, smudged, uneven brows that they claim is your own fault for not having the perfect facial skin. They won't want to fix their sloppy work, and they won't refund your money. So if you don't mind getting ripped off, and losing $600-$650+, then afterwards the Owner telling you that you need to start over with some other company to fix their messy work, then this is the place for you! Pathetic. Save yourself the anxiety and save your money, and search somewhere else for your microblading needs! There are lots of better places around to get these services done. I so wish someone had warned me ahead of time. Also, do NOT recommend Arch and Line to your friends. Big mistake that I made, as well. read more

I love Arch and Line! I had my brows microbladed by Rachel who is AMAZING. Let me start by saying I have always had very tiny, very blonde, and very straight eyebrows. I've had them tinted, waxed, shaped, threaded, etc etc etc and was never totally satisfied with the outcome... I think I just didn't have enough for an esthetician to work with to accomplish what I was going for. Thanks to microblading and Rachel, I feel like I finally have brows that are working for me - nothing crazy dramatic or flashy, just perfect for my face :) The process: I first had a ~30 minute consultation during which Rachel explained the process step by step, showed me a lot of before and after photos of previous clients to help set my expectations of her work, and then discussed what she recommended we do with my brows. She then asked me some medical questions and put a numbing cream on my brow-region. The cream took maybe 20 minutes to kick-in, during which I filled out some forms and chatted with Rachel. She was very sweet and answered all of my questions. Then Rachel went to work. She used a little device she called a "brow buddy" to measure exactly where my brows should be and drew on my face with a makeup pencil to show me the shape she was going to create. When I gave her the "go for it!" she started the actual microblading process, creating new "hair" strokes one-by-one, focusing where I was missing them, or where my natural brows were thin or patchy. She took a lot of breaks to have me sit up and look at my brows head on, as well as have me look in a mirror to see the progress and we discussed where we felt we could build the brows up more. The whole thing took maybe 2 or 2.5 hours, but the time really flew by. After that it was follow the after-care instructions (avoid water, extreme exercise, don't touch them, etc) and then wait for my brows to heal! They sort of flaked off while healing (kind of gross, and SUPER tempting to peel, but nothing that anyone but me could notice), and then the new strokes lightened up for a couple weeks before fully healing to a steady state (maybe 4 weeks after the initial treatment). ~6 weeks later, I had my touch-up appointment where Rachel assessed how much "retention" of the strokes I had. We noticed that one of my brows lightened up more than the other (I think that's the side I sleep on, so try to sleep on your back if you can!), so she spent more attention building up that brow. Now I'm healing again, and waiting for the final result! Some tips based on my experience: - The process is actually pretty relaxing, listening to some soft music, chatting while your artist works her magic. I was kind sleepy so planned on grabbing a coffee before but ran out of time and I'm glad I didn't. I think coffee jitters might have lessened the peaceful vibe, so I'd recommend skipping any caffeine beforehand. - It does sting, even with the numbing cream. I was on my period during my first session, and so was extra sensitive... Rachel was super patient and took breaks to put on extra numbing cream, so it wasn't a big deal, but in retrospect I should have waited a week! I didn't make the same mistake for the touch-up, and so the second session was a breeze for me - The Arch and Line studio is a little tricky to find, so give yourself extra time to find it. read more
