We hired Arch Painting to paint approximately 1/2 of our 20 year old house. They Did the job in September, but we noticed peeling two months later. They returned in June of the next year to correct. Again, the paint was peeling after 3 or 4 months. They returned a 2nd time, but not until the following year. They repainted again with the same result. After that, they said the warranty was over and "there must be something wrong with Our house". No previous painters had this problem. If you are considering Arch, you should also know that the painting is not actually done by their employees. They sub-contract the work to dodgy crews with no Arch Signage on their trucks. Arch Painting painted my house in 2016 and did a great job and the crew was very friendly and neat about their work. After nine years the clapboards on the front of the house needed to be repainted so I called Arch Painting and they gave me a very reasonable price to paint the clapboards and trim on the front of my house. The crew they sent was nothing like the first crew. They did not speak english well so communicating was a problem and they spent much of their time resting, chatting and checking their phones. They did the job in one day, and it looks like it. Many missed spots and a really horrible repair of a rotted trim board. Arch said they would send a better crew to fix all the problems but after not hearing from them for 2 weeks I had the job fixed by someone else. I would never hire this company again. read more

Exterior House Painting, Summer 2024. Some parts of the job were done well and some parts poorly. The scraping of the old paint was done well. Some parts were rushed near nightfall by Foreman: Two of the downspouts were replaced crooked, my front door paint color was communicated/delivered wrong and had to be redone, there was no prep work done before painting my back door and it looks terrible, a lot of paint was spilled onto my garage roof shingles. Value was average but, difficult to find paint contractor in my area. read more

I had a fire in my bathroom that resulted in black ceilings & dark walls in the bathroom. Brian from Arch Painting came out quoted 3 days to have entire apartment painted which sounded great. We had already been dealing with another company who specializes in disaster cleanup that was was not flexible with my schedule & stopped returning calls & emails. i don't normally post reviews but Arch Painting ads on the radio drive me crazy. They first painted my house in 2018. It pealed and they came back the next year and did it again. Unfortunately it pealed again. I give them credit because they came back and painted for a third time. But as you can see from the pictures its all pealed again. Slow and a bit sloppy. Had to come back to the building multple time to resolve the punch list and still left unpainted spots, lost hardware and huge, unsightly screws in the walls. Not a great improvement for the value of my home. read more

They have yet to make restitution or remedy for damages that occurred at a certain job site in Wilmington last summer. Their painters did not follow procedure for outdoor spray painting of industrial ladders which resulted in the overspray of dozens of cars in the parking lot with aerosolized droplets of enamel paint. Besides the damage being a cosmetic issue, it is the cause of safety issues related to windshield glare, and interference with the operation of windshield wipers, and crash avoidance systems ie.- Eyesight. We are not impressed with the work they did, and the stalling for time. read more

Do not use this company. They sub-contact there painting jobs to outfits that are unreliable and never show up. Before they even started the project the Project manager canceled 3 times. I'm very torn on my rating but I think the other reviews capture that well. They either did a good job or did a crap job. The first time I used them they did an amazing job. The second time and on a different home, they were terrible. The problem is they subcontract the work out so your results will vary based on the crew you get. On this paint job the crew was either very inexperienced or just lazy. They barely did any prep work. Just a 1/2 day power washing and then started painting. The contract was very clear what prep work we agreed to (and paid for), but they didn't do it. A few of the holes they filled have already had the filler fall out. Their attention to deal was lacking and at times bizarre. We still have areas that were just primed and some columns/posts that are different colors (some the base color, some the trim color). On the sheds they painted just 3 sides. The team clearly didn't know what the contract stated. For example they painted one deck but not the other. I point things out to them and the crew always said NO, so I'd call the project manager and the next day they would do it. It was exhausting, the project manager should have been the one making sure the work we paid for was done. It also led them to being sloppy, on the deck they missed, they came back and painted it but didn't do any prep work so there are loose piece of paint that are painted over. When they left they took all the paint, except for a 1/4 can of the door paint. Usually they leave you any left over paint so we could go back and touch up areas they missed and in our case that's a lot of places. From a distance our house looks good, but when you get close you can see it's very patchy and I don't think because of the lack of prep it will last us. read more

Poor communication between the supervisor and the painting crew. My contract clearly stated to paint all the ceilings and all the walls and to paint the downstairs closet in my newly purchased condo unit. They called to tell me the job was done and I went there to find that none of the ceilings were painted and they painted the upstairs closet rather than the downstairs closet. There were also minor issues with the painting job, that they ultimately fixed. When I called Ronnie he said the crew would come back, but it wouldn't be for a couple of days. I had to reschedule movers and make other plans. Very inconvenient. It's all painted now, but I wish that I had gone with Certa Pro Painters. read more

Arch Painting just finished painting my house in West Roxbury. Willie and Louis were the painting team. They did a fantastic job and did not miss a spot. If I pointed out something, they took care of it right away. Their experience showed. They made it look easy even though I know that it was a challenge. They did a good job prepping before they painted. And once my front door was painted, I realized that the color was not a good color with the rest of the house and Willie very nicely guided me toward a better color and repainted the door for no extra cost. My wife and I engaged Arch to paint our exterior, replace some rotted trim boards, and paint our kitchen cabinets. The first quote we got from another reputable vendor was crazy high in price so we got a second quote from Arch and they gave us a very fair price. It took some time for the job to kickoff because it basically rained for two months prior and they were a bit backlogged. Once they got started though, it was all business. Their team, led by a foreman named Gill, came in on a Friday morning, worked through the entire weekend, and completed the job early Sunday evening. We are absolutely thrilled with the results. They were meticulous in their approach and the couple of very minor issues we saw were corrected immediately when we pointed them out. Some of our kitchen cabinet doors had been mounted incorrectly when they had been installed years ago, and the Arch team re-mounted them perfectly which was not expected but greatly appreciated. Overall, they exceeded our expectations at every level and we will not hesitate to use them again when we re-paint our interior in a few years. I heartily recommend them! read more

I honestly just felt good about their people (I met with Allan initially) and their quote, I didn't even comparison shop. It just 'felt right'. I called Arch Painting to have professional work on a house I am selling. I should have done it myself. behind a door was only half painted, missing outlet cover, noted broken bathroom sink back splash that they filled in with plaster looking something then painted the top of the back splash, painted chrome shower ring, tons of dried paint splash that had to be scraped off floor, toilet, bathroom sink, and they painted the metal heat cover with wall paint that was not approved by me. they stripped bathroom wallpaper and the wall was so wavy afterwards. they worked until 7 pm the second day and near 9 pm the third day. we have a 7 year old that needed to go to bed. but they got the job in 3 days at our expense of comfort in our home on those late nights. read more

Inconsistent work between the people on job (don't speak English either). Even after repeatedly mentioning the items I wanted to have done via texts email, did not do. I have a HISTORIC 18th century house, and when I asked during quoting process"pls be sure shutters are hung straight"...THEY DECIDED TO SCREW my shutters to the HOUSE!!!! First time hiring"professional" painters. Arch certainly not the least expensive option but they came highly recommended. That bewilders me to this day. The painters have me the impression that they didn't know what they were doing or could not have cared less. Language barrier was a problem. Supervisor came back, noted areas that needed correction and one painter returned to fix problem areas. Better result but a rather sloppy job. Never heard back from supervisor.
