I reached out to Osgood for interior paint work and patio door replacement. Paint work included walls, ceiling, and trim spanning across 3 floors and 1300 sqft of house. I have been burnt in the past using home depot/craigs list painting services so I wanted a professional team to do the work this time. The house originally had a French patio door we had Osgood replace with glass slider. We had already moved out so there was no furniture for the painters and door hangers to deal with. Because we had moved away, scheduling the work was pretty easy. I received photos before, during and after the work was completed. I eventually got eyes on and noticed the exceptional work the Osgood team completed. They repaired all the damage and pre-existing flaws in the plaster. I will say the I'm incredibly happy with their work and you can tell in the finished product that it was done correctly. The new patio door that shipped wasn't the door we ordered either. It might have been caught sooner if I had been present but these things happen (**cough** Anderson Doors). The Osgood team is going the extra mile to swap the glass door panels with the ones we originally wanted. Despite some back and forth on the total work scope of the job, the quoted price was the price I paid and there was no surprise fees or costs. I mostly dealt with Patrick Osgood directly. He is a very personable guy, our conversations often digressed to chatting about family and other common hobbies. He's the kinda guy I'd have a beer with. I would 10/10 recommend reaching out to Osgood for a quote for any remodeling and paintwork you need done correctly. I had 4 projects in July-August 2024, it was for repairs on plastering and painting for water damaged ceilings inside my house. Carpentry repairs on the outside of the house and a complete painting of the house. I also had my outside deck completely replaced with new decking and composite railings. All projects were completed in a very timely manner. Pricing for all the projects was very fair and reasonable. I would highly recommend Patrick and his team for any type of work you might have. Do NOT use this company! We hired them to do our drive-way and a separate paved area. They delayed coming to the house by saying they didn't know our address or last name, even though we had to tell them repeatedly. Then, when they finally arrived, not only did they do half of what we asked (only did the driveway), but they splattered our house and garage with tar! I called them to paint a couple rooms, and although I was very busy and had to cut a few conversations short, they consistently responded promptly and were very helpful. When they came to paint the rooms, they were very attentive to exactly what I wanted (I can be a bit of a perfectionist), and very helpful with some recommendations I didn't even think of! I had a voucher from Osgood to paint a small room (one coat), so I had them paint an upstairs bedroom in my condo. I knew I would need a second coat (the new color was lighter than the old one) and they gave me a very reasonable price on that. That was it I have sent emails with no response, and also reached him on his phone " I'll call you back in 15 minutes". I am still waiting for that call. I purchased a groupon for 99 dollars to seal my driveway in Aug 2012. I called that same day and was notified to e-mail instead. In late Sept they gave me a date (the problem was I live near the Topsfield Fair and people always turn around and walk by driveway to avoid the traffic so I had to reschedule) Almost a year later I had a date for July 21st , they were a no show and when I called in they said I wasn't even on the list. I have called and called and emailed and have not heard back. Days turn into weeks and weeks turn into months. They have my money and I don't have the job done and no response not a peep. I am assuming I just spent 99 for nothing. I am a single mom working two jobs. In the near future I am going to pursue this with the bbb and see about small claims court. Excellent job patching a large crack and sealing my driveway. They were very careful along the edges to cover without overflowing into the gardens and lawn. They came back later to check that everything was drying properly. Osgood uses a real seal solution that will prevent erosion and and chipping, not just black paint. I don't want to have to have my driveway dug up and repaved like my neighbor did, and I'm sure this seal will help. read more

Took 4 months for them to come out. They skipped 3 appointments without a phone call to let me know they are not coming. Once they did show up they didn't even blow off the driveway before sealing it, I watched them brush a leaf back and forth until finally he gave in and picked it up. I contracted with Osgood to re-side about 1/3 of my historic home and paint it. The work scope was massive. I had windows that didn'e have the correct flashing, some so rotted that they needed replacing. Doors with bad thresholds. My house was built in 1795, so it's old. Osgood gave me the best price and I am very pleased with the outcome. By the time we got all the necessary permits, the summer had slipped away. Patrick started the project in early October. the goal was to "Button-up" the house by replacing the siding and repairing the windows. The weather was a bit of an problem. They managed to get the new clapboard up and primed before the really nasty weather set in. This project took a little longer than we had expected, but considering it was started in late fall, it was done correctly (not painting in the cold). patrick also installed spaceers in the clapbard to prevent moisture from developing between the siding and the house. (Remember, this old house used horse hair for insulation and there was no tyvac at that ttme.) The work was completed to our satisfaction and within budget. Osgood did a very professional job and I have received many complements about the finished product. I would recommend Osgood to anyone that asked me about a good contractor. read more

This included window sash, sill and trim repair and replacement, porch repair and replacement, deck repair and replacement, siding and shingle repair and replacement and gutter repair. They did a very high quality job in all aspects fully addressing the numerous and varied types of work needed. They also did an excellent job in working with our very tight in town location. Well, I guess you get what you pay for. I paid for a Groupon painting offer. It took months to schedule and then I had to speak with multiple people in their office to nail down the date and time. One of the owners was extremely rude and argumentative and basically indicated that groupon customers are the lowest priority and are wedged in between their "normally scheduled" customers. If I hadn't paid for the groupon in advance I never would have had Osgood to my home. When they finally came to paint after several re-schedules, they did one coat and the coverage was very inconsistent, they spilled paint on the carpet and dripped wall paint on the woodwork. A very poor quality job and a ton of aggravation! read more

I contracted with Patrick Osgood's Company to renovate my kitchen due to extensive water damage after last winter's weather. I have a 950 Sq. Ft. condo in an 1898 Federalist in the historic district and the job included kitchen and hall. The scope was huge as the water damage had settled in from March to October, due to insurance adjuster delays. I had to move out for 8 weeks. It went slower than I thought but as it turned out they needed to uncover the depth of the damage right down to the original exterior wood. It was more work than anticipated, yet they finished close to the original quote. Patrick spent extra time to insure that I had the granite I wanted for the counter. Ceiling, windows, cabinets, floors, walls, closets all required replacement or repair...anti-bacterial treatment, too. I am pleased with the outcome - just a few more details to finish. Patrick appears to have developed a responsive team of workers. His Spanish is excellent, his personality pleasant....a plus for a contractor, in my experience.
