We had an old wooden deck at our home that was worn and not very sturdy. Archadeck re-framed and rebuilt the entire deck, installed a new custom railing, and a louver system roof with fans and lighting + mounted our tv for us! Five stars all around. Archadeck - Northeast Dallas - Decks & Railing Near Me

Amateur results at a professional price. I hired Archadeck of NE Dallas to build a 12' x 30' second floor balcony, with composite decking and the Trex RainEscape waterproofing system so the first floor stays dry. Cost about $150/SF. Unfortunately, exclusion of braces specified in the building plans, lack of supervision, shoddy work by the crew and no attention to detail were evident and visible in the results. Problems are many... * Missing post braces spec'd by structional engineer (used nails instead and planned a couple of 12 screws). When I questioned it, they installed one old L-Angle bracket on each post and ditched the 12" screws. * Joist hangers installed so poorly (after the joists) they had to use a hammer to bend the bottom of some so they could install the first floor ceiling. And still did it poorly. * No planning for the board layout on the balcony, so ended up with large gap at the house which they attempted to cover with 1 x 2 white pine. * Splices on the trim mitered poorly, so they don't lay flat. * Plugs used to cover screw holes were not hammered flush and many were malformed so they don't lay flat. Easily visible. * Facia boards bow out for some reason. * Poor handling of the butyl caulk used on the railing posts. They got it on the deck surface and tracked it around the balcony. When I complained, they used a heat gun to remove it, melting spots on a couple of the composite boards in the process. * When they replaced the melted boards, they couldn't figure out how to replace the hidden Camo fasteners, so they screwed through the top and used more plugs...so much for the hidden fasteners (2 boards replaced, six boards with plugs). * Trash pile in the yard from the week after Thanksgiving until the end of February. They left for 3 weeks around Christmas and didn't even clean up before leaving. While I'd like for Archadeck of NE Dallas to fix the problems, I fear they will make matters worse (see melted boards above), so I'll either fix it myself or hire another company to fix it. Many of these problems and more were put on the punch list at the end of construction, but few were corrected. So disappointed. Beware of this company. read more

WORST MISTAKE EVER!!!! Archadeck came out to put in a new stamp & stain concrete patio for me. As you can see from the pics it is a total disaster. The color is not even close to consistent, there are streaks throughout it, there are light and dark strips going across the stamped boards and there are impressions that look as though someone pressed the form in with their knee - these are all over the deck. They assured me when we signed up for this that it would look like a wood deck or a very close facsimile of one. I'll let you decide from the attached pics if this is anything like a wood deck would look like. It looks like a stamp and stain that went very wrong. When I contacted them , they came out to look at it and told me they would get back to me after talking to their concrete person. No response for 2 weeks until I followed up with two emails and the response at that point was that they can darken it for an additional $900.00!!!!!!! They actually think I will pay more for them to fix their complete disaster? At this point I am going to pay to get it completely torn out and will likely have to chase them through the courts to get it reimbursed. STAY AS FAR AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY AS YOU CAN!!!!! I am so disappointed in this company. They did not show up when they said, they would send people do work on my patio after hours. When we were getting the stain done the worker was doing it in the dark. We got stained concrete and there were drips, uneven areas, grass stuck to the sealer. So now I have permanent grass on my patio. I always felt like they were just working me in between other big jobs. They made such a mess with the powder for the stain that it ruined my screens. They did not cover up my air conditioner so the powder got all inside there as well. (Having that serviced this week)There is stain powder everywhere and it does not wash off. I have a wood siding house so they had to remove some wood to pour concrete which was fine but they replace with broken pieces and Auggie just used caulk to fill in. Auggie the owner asked for the last instalment check while the guy was still here working on my home. It made me feel very uncomfortable but I made the mistake of trusting him. Now I have to hire someone to fix some siding, repaint that side of house, replace screens, and fix the stain and sealer. Please do not use this company read more
