This place is absolutely unsanitary. I was MORTIFIED when painful red bumps began to form the day after getting my eyebrows threaded there. The woman who did this said and I quote "it's normal for your lip to be bigger and you to have a rash come in and I'll show you".... simply put there is no excuse for UNSANITARY tools when you work on/with people's skin. I've been here once before and had my brows done by Sevanji (sp?) and she did a great job. I should've just made an appointment and waited for her availability. I'm so annoyed. Sure it had been some time since I had my eyebrows done, but clearly you could see where my hair was thicker and where it had started to grow in. I told this lady and I didn't even get her name, I was so pissed off, I just wanted a clean up, which she repeated back to me. I also told her I wanted them as thick as possible while still giving me an arch. Yet, she went thread happy and left me slivers for eyebrows. This is my second time here. First time was a great experience but the person I saw wasn't there so I had my eyebrows by Vibah. She started off fine but then roughly finished my left eyebrow, leaving 2 big indentations where the skin was completely off & bleeding. I'm attaching a photo for proof. Such a terrible experience getting a Brazilian today. She didn't care about my pain. I told her I felt like she was ripping my skin off and she said "oh, you are fine".. once she was done she said I have some red spots (complete bruising) but it's normal. Not true! I've waxed for over 20 years and have never had this experience. It was excruciating. I'm bruised everywhere that I was waxed. I was going here for a few months to see GP with no problem. Then today I noticed that they allowed a woman to come in and skip me just because they felt like her service would be quicker than mine. Which it wind up making me wait another 30 mins after already having them tell me I had to wait 20 mins for a different customer to go first because she was pregnant. I honestly will NEVER come in here again. There's no direct order in which they see people. It's based on their own terms. That's weird. People have other plans besides sitting in the wax place all f***ing day! Mind you this is a CONSTANT thing. The wait is ridiculous. Thanks for wasting 50 mins out of my day morons. read more

They are great people and care about their clients so they take their time with each person. Honestly it's already hard to find someone that can do my eyebrows the way I want them done. Not thin, clean them up, shape them-since I have thick Puerto Rican hair period. But I found Ash and she does amazingly. Again they are all sweet ladies here, and it's a clean warm environment/place. First of all, I have been going here for years and have never had a bad experience. Today, however, was awful. NEVER let Sheetal touch your eyebrows! She hacked my left eyebrow, left it shorter and thinner than the right and took a chunk out of it in the middle. I voiced my frustration and her response was, "I'm sorry, hopefully it will just grow back." The lady working with her completely ignored that I was upset and when I asked her opinion, she said "well I didn't see your eyebrows before they were done." No recognition at all that they were uneven and too thin. And on top of it all, they still charged me full price. Great customer service! read more

I got my eyebrows done here yesterday because I was at the mall and had nothing else to do. Typical eyebrow threading place. They're more expensive than the place I usually go to ($10 vs. $9) but other than that, no complaints. She did a great job and took her time even though there were other customers waiting. I'll come back here if I'm ever in need of an eyebrow threading while I'm in Buford. Oh, I should point out that I've been getting my brows threaded for about 5 years so they're already the shape they need to be. This was just a clean up. I'm not sure how this place would be if I had gone in with totally grown out brows that needed to be reshaped. read more

I got laser hair removal from Arches....the experience was bonkers bad....this review is very late but still wanted to share Summary: the laser treatment DID NOT WORK and customer service was atrocious . It really seemed like they wanted to just scam me out of my money. - the location I signed up for had water damage so they changed locations on me, increasing my commute from 30 min round trip to 90 minute round trip and when I asked for a refund since I didn't want to drive that far they refused - they never alerted me of this change in location....I showed up to my appointment to an empty store - they never returned my calls or emails asking where did they go and could I have my money back until I had my boyfriend write an attorney's letter of demand, conveniently that's when they responded back to me explaining how sorry they were for the inconvenience and how it was all just a misunderstanding - when I finally started service again i always had to call and confirm my appointment because for some reason we somehow always had different dates in our calendars....I really don't think it was me messing that up - this part was bananas....the location moved AGAIN and they didn't tell me AGAIN! Yet again they changed their phone numbers and I couldn't get ahold of them! - after all this inconvenience they offered me an extra treatment...singular (eye roll). Spoiler alert - they lied to my face about this and I never got the extra treatmenr - not only did I not get the extra treatment, but the technician at the end tried to scam me out of my last treatment, saying I had had my previous treatment mid March and so it was too soon for me to come again and by the time it was 6 weeks my 6 months would be up....meanwhile I was out of the country in mid March so that was a straight lie. I was so fed up with all that I never returned anyways, it wasn't worth the fight - after all this the TREATMENT DID NIT WORK! Having just moved to the area, I was looking for a new place to get my eyebrows done. I used to get them waxed but I have very sensitive skin and get irritated easily. Since I moved close to the mall, I was looking for a new alternative and found The Arches. They are located on the second level next to Belk. I had never tried threading before walking in. I walked in and one of the girls acknowledged me, didn't say anything but kind of smiled at me. I told her I was there to get my eyebrows done and after looking at me with a "duh" expression, just told me to wait. A couple of minutes later, another girl motioned me toward her chair to sit down. She didn't say anything, just told me to hold my lid closed and my eyebrow taught. She then began the threading. It stung a bit. It is definitely not painless but not too painful either. It just hurts a little more than waxing since it is a repetitive motion, but it doesn't leave the sting that waxing does after. It took a total of maybe 4 minutes for her to finish my brows. Then she showed me how they looked in a mirror and took me to the register to pay. Overall, a good experience with the actual process. My brows were red for just half an hour, which is a huge improvement to my usual outbreak and redness for a few days with waxing. The girl I had was very good at it and my brows look great. I just wish they were a little more social. At least a proper greeting at the door would have been nice and maybe an explanation of the service. They don't even ask you if you've done it before. All in all, I got what I paid for (which at $10 was a great price!) and my brows look great and I didn't break out or stay red for hours. The pain is very tolerable and I would definitely try it again! read more

While the customer service and the threading job was good, the sanitation was not. Headrests are not wiped off after each client, in fact, the chair I sat in had oil residue from the person before me. The eyebrow threader also did not wash her hands prior to doing my eyebrows. Right before I was serviced, she threaded someone else's brow and upper lip and did not bother to wash her hands before servicing me. Not sure how they prevent spreading hair/skin bacteria/diseases, would recommend going elsewhere with better sanitation practices... read more
