love this place. I visit this location and the Hugh Howell location pretty often. I can't remember the name of the person who did my wax yesterday, but she was really friendly. I got the jasmine Brazilian wax, and while the prices are a bit on the higher side, it wasn't that painful. I do wish they would take a little more time to explain the differences between the waxes and make recommendations based on what each person needs instead of just trying to upsell. Today on a whim, I decided to get my brows threaded. This was one of three places that came up in my yelp search. It was third on my list only because it's a chain. I made a big mistake, this place should have been first! I went to this spot a little before noon the salon front was empty but I could hear people in the back. Minaz is so great. This was my first time at Magical Waxing and it didn't disappoint! She was quick and gentle with my full body wax. She made sure to explain the different types of waxes that they offer and the benefits of each. Wine, water, and juice are available upon request as well. I ended up getting a brazilian, leg, and underarm wax as well as an eyebrow threading (they offer waxing for that too). The brazilian was easily the best I've ever had. They have many different waxes (brightening, i grown preventative, etc.) and I believe I chose the tea tree. I would come into this place just to chat with these ladies but unfortunately for me I'm ugly and hairy so I have to make them work. I always get my eyebrows threaded and I love the job they do. I also get a Brazilian and I know it's awkward but they make it less so. If you want to talk they will talk, and if you want to pretend you're anywhere else ...well they can do that too. I got my lashes done here once and they looked so good for about a week until they started irritating me (just have sensitive eyes). none of my real eyelashes came off and I was really happy with that as I had had a bad experience at another place. they give you a little parting gift at the end and normally a hug.. which I am missing so much in this quarantine. First I walk in and it's so clean and cute in there! The receptionist was sweet and greeted me as soon as I came in she informed me I was a little early for my appt but I didn't mind. They let me know there was one person ahead and I would be next. The room was clean and the set up was super organized. Minaj came in and introduced herself and informed me of the various waxes she has and asked which one I wanted. I ended up picking one that she said was less painful. The wax overall was literally the best one I have ever got! It wasn't painful and Minaj made sure to talk me through it and ask if the temp was okay. Okay well I don't normally leave reviews but the experience I had at this facility was very unforgettable and made me regret spending my hard earned money to come support. My first time was a squeeze in, im not sure what this specific ladies name was but she was dark haired. I got the crystal wax which a week later still has me super sensitive, irritated & red. Towards the end of my wax the lady proceeded to tell me that the lower left part of my vagina had a "BIG HUGE BUMP" after I told her multiple times that's how I always look down there.... which isn't a huge bump at all and how it normally always looks.... When i first arrived, she asked me if i wanted a soda or water, which i kindly declined. She also offered a charger when i told her my phone was dead, how nice!! She then took me to a room where She informed me on the different types of wax selections they offered & which one would suit me best! They offer waxes such as rose and honey for soft hair and the $35 one for coarser hair, as well as other luxurious options such a gold. I trusted her recommendation and I'm so glad I did! I had an awesome experience with their Vaginal Steaming service. The ladies were friendly and warm. They were so polite. I paid $40 for the service. It was worth the price. Minaz made everything better. This was my 2nd time here. My first time for a wax and threading were horrible. I tried to come back for the vaginal steaming and the same woman who gave me the horrible service refused to take me cuz I got there 15 min before they closed. Places I worked you had to take a customer even if they showed up one minute to closing. Business is business. But apparently she didn't care I ran all the way there from work in the rain. Luckily, Minaz took me. I did come earlier, but her demeanor and energy were amazing. So I did a 2nd review to say hey maybe a bad apple could spoil the bunch. But maybe consumers could give a business a 2nd try before we write them off. I probably won't get a wax or threading again, but they offer several services and so I definitely recommend the vaginal steaming. I felt like Lakshmi, the Indian goddess, came and took a seat next to me. It was very clean, relaxing and it was polished to a reasonable degree. She took a little bit of time to shape, made sure to ask if we were comfortable. This Used to be my go to place until today. I feel uncomfortable even going anyway to get my eyebrows and lip/chin threaded, I'm middle eastern, naturally hairy. One of the ladies asked me if i got checked for pcos (that's very personal i guess bc I'm hairy and my size)after i asked if there is a good salad bar around then she continues to talk about weight.
