What was promised upfront did not align with what was delivered, and trying to get clear answers or resolution felt like chasing something intentionally out of reach. More concerning than delays was the lack of professionalism and ownership. Instead of addressing issues directly, there was a pattern of deflection and minimal effort to correct problems. When you're already dealing with a stressful situation that requires restoration services, the last thing you need is a company that adds to that stress rather than alleviating it. Additionally, there were serious concerns regarding billing practices. American Restoration billed insurance for work and materials that, to my knowledge and direct observation, were never completed or provided. When these discrepancies were raised, they were not meaningfully addressed. To conclude, every subcontractor used was incompetent and required multiple redo attempts. In several instances, I was left to either correct the work myself or accept substandard results just to move forward and avoid further delays and complications. Even more troubling, the project left lasting issues for my family and home that remain unresolved. When these concerns were brought forward, they were dismissed and attributed to "scope of work," rather than being properly evaluated and corrected. This is not a minor inconvenience type of review--this is a warning. If you value your time, your money, and your peace of mind, you should strongly consider going with literally anyone else. There are plenty of companies that will treat your situation with the urgency, transparency, and professionalism it deserves. This was not one of them. I would not recommend American Restoration under any circumstances.

I had mitigation work done from Paul Davis. Payment was sent DIRECTLY to the local Paul Davis shop of which I have a record of by State Farm. After calling back to figure out what was going on I was met with REPEATED threats and threats to my property from the general Manager. He stated I had 10 days before a lien would be put on my house. I informed him I was recording the conversation which I actually was and he called me a liar and said he did not care. He immediately changed and said the lien would be put on my house today/immediately as retribution for filing a complaint against him. This is unacceptable behavior and customer service . Sadly the work completed by the actual staff was good and timely however on this interaction alone I would never recommend Paul Davis to anyone. There are plenty of mitigation companies to use. Take this with a grain of salt. Don't use them if you don't want to be treated like shit.

They contacted our insurance company directly (which led to an increase in our premium), and it was determined that only the parapets needed replacement. Rhino charged over $11,000 for that limited work, we paid a $1,000 deductible. Shortly after, we experienced five major leaks inside our home. We had to cut holes in the ceilings of three rooms to release trapped water. Rhino came out once to patch the ceiling in one room, then ignored our repeated emails and phone calls regarding the other two. Fast forward to this year: the parapets they installed are now cracked along the entire perimeter. Multiple reputable roofers inspected the work and all said the same thing -- "whoever did this used the wrong materials and did it incorrectly." When I called Rhino, the conversation was uncomfortable. They offered to redo both roofs with foam at no cost, but after researching foam roofing, I learned it can cause serious problems if not correctly applied. I asked to split the cost of TPO instead. They agreed, but then sent a proposal that was higher than other companies' full quotes and only offered a three-year warranty. All other companies offered at least 10. Charlie said it was because we were not paying "full price". We reached out to Charlie, the general manager, to discuss this -- he never returned our calls or emails. After realizing Rhino's work was both negligent and overpriced, and that they would not stand behind their work, we chose to hire another roofer. My advice: Be very careful before hiring this company. Do your research, get multiple quotes, and listen for common feedback from other professionals. In our experience, Rhino Roofing overcharged, performed poor-quality work, and failed to take accountability, even under "new management," which appears to include the same people we originally dealt with.
