Staff has always been excellent , even when I bring in bent up lottery tickets for redemption and they have to run through the machine five times. Store is very clean and well stocked. Actually while establishment is very well kept. And most of all some of the least expensive gas around all the time. Highly recommend.

Couldn 't use the the card reader at the pumped - out of service. Went it and discovered I couldn't pay by either cash or credit card. Leaving what? Payment by gummy bears? The interior shop shelves were largely bare and the clerk was pissed off and pissy. Hopefully all this is a sign that the business will soon turn over to new owners. In the meantime - find another place to buy your gasoline! It's expensive enough without the grumpy attitude and extreme hassle here.

The first pump I was at kept freezing up and after several attempts went to the attendant who was on the phone. She did something in the system and said try again and it didn't work. So moved to the next pump over and same issue. Come to find out after 15 minutes the Apple Pay is not working even though there is no sign stating that. ( see attached photo) Make sure to have signage when things are out of order and not working. Also would be helpful if you're not on your phone.

Shortly after refueling, the engine began stuttering badly, and the Check Engine Light came on. Based on the timing, I believe the gasoline may have been contaminated or of poor quality. The pump nozzle also repeatedly failed to remain locked while I was refueling. I recommend avoiding this station. Edit 2: It has been over 1 week and this gas station and Shell refused to answer my reports. Avoid this station. Edit 1: I have filed the report to corporate at the link. The the report to corporate has the full unredacted receipt. It should be trivial for corporate to track down the exact transaction and fuel stall.

So at 790 El Camino Real, we find a modern Shell station, complete with foodmart and car wash. Based upon the past reviews, it looks like everyone should avoid the car wash. Nice spacious islands and well lit. Very spacious because no one was there at the time. Prices are a bit higher than average. But the station is near two major roads out of town.....Hwy 85 and Hwy 237. There's also a medical facility across the street. Tip: if you want your vehicle to look nice for a long time, never use a mechanical car wash.
