    Pay island
    Derek S.

Came by for a fill up the other day and the experience left much to be desired. Luckily, the traffic in and out of the pumps is one-way. Pay Islands - The first Pay Island said that my Gift Card was declined...but it worked on another Island?!? - 2 Pay Islands were unable to dispense a receipt....maybe they were out of paper?!? Fuel Pump: - ...Fuel Pump couldn't seal with my gas tank..thus kept on clicking off... ...There were no paper towels...although a squeegee with water was available. ...they also feature Gas Station TV... ...at least they're have some of the cheapest Top Tier gas in the South Bay?!? ...purchase a gift card from Safeway to gain fuel rewards and use a credit card!

    11.07.2013 $3.35/gallon unleaded

$3.33/gallon unleaded as of November 8, 2013. I actually pumped gas the day before, November 7th. This Arco AM-PM only accepts Cash or Debit. Pay cash in the store. Pay by debit card outside at the machine labeled. This location also does accept large bills like $100. I was concerned they did not if I didn't have $20 bills on me. When I went into the Arco AM-PM to pay, I asked if they accept $100 bill. The girl said yes, and I told her my pump number. Also, I let her know that I will need the Air after pumping gas since my dad's tire needed extra air. I took pictures while fueling gas. I ended up barely under $50 so I carefully clicked away until it reached $50 even. hehe. I didn't want any change, plus easier to know I receive the correct amount in change back. There was about 2 different woman working that day at the cashiers/gas station attendants. I got my change and peeled around the building to reach the Air machine. By the time I got there, the Air was already running so I quickly parked and plugged in the air nozzle plug thing. Shortly after, the air stopped. So, I went back in to request them turn the Air back on for me, but there was a line by then. Luckily, the older lady saw me and I didn't have to repeat myself and told me she turned it back on. Then, I went back out the door to finish putting air back into that 1 tire...checked PSI. And finally done! I had to make sure those tires were even PSI...too many errands to run that day. Overall, quick service day time, average wait time to get to pump gas is 15 - 30 minutes. However, if you just use credit card payment only, just go to the World gas station across the street. All Arco gas stations are best cash or debit card payment only.

A sign put up while the woman were behind the counter.

I don't like the debit card surcharge and this place has no restrooms, the only thing I guess is good is the low prices.

So disappointing as wash didn't get all the stuff oof and you think it would be caught since they wipe dry your car. The vacuum still see remnants of dirts as they didn't lift off the mats to vacuuming it all up. Then there's the interior wipe down of dash and console, looks like half fast job as still dusty. I thought going here would be good as I would get full service interior vacuum and wipe down. That was total waste of money. No wonder they try to to sway you to do the hand wash detaiI service up sale. Doesn't mean go skimp on their standard wash. I usually just go to a gas station wash and wipe down vacuum myself. But I thought I'd pay this time so I wouldn't have to clean inside. My mistake.

Be alert! Please pay attention to the cashier and manager at this gas station. If you pay in cash,…read moreremember to clearly state the amount you're paying on the spot and ask for a receipt immediately. They frequently overcharge customers- we clearly paid $40 in cash for gas, but the pump only showed $30. When we went to ask the cashier about it, they kept stalling, saying the manager was busy. Then when I found the manager myself, the surveillance footage he showed me was very blurry, and most of it was blocked by backs and heads, with nothing clear at all. It seems like they've been running this scam for a long time and have formed an organized operation: the cashier, the manager, the manager's assistant, and even people posing as customers to assist in the deception and act as enforcers. If you go to this gas station, be very careful when paying with cash-state the exact amount you're handing over, ask for a receipt, and it's best to record the transaction with your phone on the spot! They specifically target out-of-towners paying in cash. Everyone, beware of this gas station!

I always come here to wash my truck…read more It's a touch less car wash, only 6 dollars for the express which is the basic, but still does the job . The workers are really nice as well. They have a car wash club card where every time you get a car wash they Stamp it you need 5 car washes to get one free . I like it since I go either way but it's a nice perk.

I paid for gas and a car wash specifically because of the combo. I pulled into the car wash lane…read moreand waited, only to find a sign stating that a staff member would return by a specific time to assist with the wash. After waiting beyond the time on the sign, I decided to follow up inside. When I asked about it, the woman at the front told me there was only one person working and that the wait would be a while. What was especially frustrating was that the manager was standing right beside her and could have stepped in to help or at least offered a reasonable solution--especially since the posted sign indicated someone would be available by a certain time. There was also already another customer waiting behind me for a car wash. I understand staffing issues happen, but the way this was handled was disappointing. Simply offering a refund doesn't really resolve the issue when I specifically came here for the gas-and-car-wash combo and don't have time to make another trip. Had I known the car wash wouldn't actually be available, I would have gone to my usual gas station instead. At the very least, I expected better communication and an effort to make the situation right beyond simply refunding the wash. Safe to safely I will not be returning.
