This particular intersection has 4 gas stations and I think this one has the best prices. Plus points for having contactless payments and good prices and minus points for being out of paper towels and not being very clear. They do have a convenience store as well which looked pretty well stocked. read more

Came by for a fill up the other day and the experience left much to be desired. Luckily, the traffic in and out of the pumps is one-way. Pay Islands - The first Pay Island said that my Gift Card was declined...but it worked on another Island?!? - 2 Pay Islands were unable to dispense a receipt....maybe they were out of paper?!? Fuel Pump: - ...Fuel Pump couldn't seal with my gas tank..thus kept on clicking off... ...There were no paper towels...although a squeegee with water was available. ...they also feature Gas Station TV... ...at least they're have some of the cheapest Top Tier gas in the South Bay?!? ...purchase a gift card from Safeway to gain fuel rewards and use a credit card! read more

Arco AMPM gas has 5x the recommended amount of engine degergents the EPA recommends and it's dimes cheaper than chevron, 76. it's almost a contradiction to buy something that cheap and good for u too (ur car). true for arco gas. beer priced above average, just traditional selection. eats: 3 made in house chocolate chip cookie (.99) -tasted good, the bad: palm oil used. drips: -friendly service, just handed a dollar over, he smiles, i'm on my way. -cash only read more

$3.33/gallon unleaded as of November 8, 2013. I actually pumped gas the day before, November 7th. This Arco AM-PM only accepts Cash or Debit. Pay cash in the store. Pay by debit card outside at the machine labeled. This location also does accept large bills like $100. I was concerned they did not if I didn't have $20 bills on me. When I went into the Arco AM-PM to pay, I asked if they accept $100 bill. The girl said yes, and I told her my pump number. Also, I let her know that I will need the Air after pumping gas since my dad's tire needed extra air. I took pictures while fueling gas. I ended up barely under $50 so I carefully clicked away until it reached $50 even. hehe. I didn't want any change, plus easier to know I receive the correct amount in change back. There was about 2 different woman working that day at the cashiers/gas station attendants. I got my change and peeled around the building to reach the Air machine. By the time I got there, the Air was already running so I quickly parked and plugged in the air nozzle plug thing. Shortly after, the air stopped. So, I went back in to request them turn the Air back on for me, but there was a line by then. Luckily, the older lady saw me and I didn't have to repeat myself and told me she turned it back on. Then, I went back out the door to finish putting air back into that 1 tire...checked PSI. And finally done! I had to make sure those tires were even PSI...too many errands to run that day. Overall, quick service day time, average wait time to get to pump gas is 15 - 30 minutes. However, if you just use credit card payment only, just go to the World gas station across the street. All Arco gas stations are best cash or debit card payment only. read more

I've been here several times, and I really don't like this place. The first time I went here, I got some gas and a drink. I have an AM-PM card, which needs to get punched when getting new drinks, so that (after purchasing 5 new drinks) I will get a free drink. The guy behind the counter said it was only for coffee. (Ridiculous: I go to several AM-PM's, and there's even a *picture* of a soda on the card!!) After I argued with him for a bit, he scribbled on it with a pen. Needless to say, no other store would accept that. My next memorable visit, I was hit up by several pan-handlers. One was the high-pressure kind, like in San Francisco. My next visit I could not stop by - cars were backed up into the street. Did I mention that it's a one-way entrance. What a huge pain. On my next visit, I went out of the way to go there because I wanted to get a refill on my drink. First problem was too many cars waiting, but I was already there, so I waited. Next problem: I had to choose an island, I picked the shortest line only to discover that one of the pumps was out-of-service on my side, leading to a 15 minute wait. Next problem: the whle reason I went there was to get a refill of Rasberry Iced Tea, and when I went to get, nothing but water came out. AHHH!!!! The girl behind the counter kindly went to the back to see if there was any more, but they were out. So I went through all the hassle for nothing. There are other stations around with almost the same prices. Arco/AM-PM charge for using a debit card, so I'd rather stop by someplace like USA Petroleum (mentioned in other reviews) which is closer to the freeway entrance, or Moe's and 76 over on McKey (again, just off the freeway, but cash-only). I'd give them one star, but they do have low prices. read more

This is a good gas station. It's conveniently located on Capitol Expressway and Senter rd. the gas prices are often the lowest in the area and it's always busy because of this. The clerks are ok but not overly friendly. No bathroom at this Arco so that really stinks! Minus one star cause there is absolutely NOTHING healthy to eat here and the burger in the food heater are disgusting!! read more

in my opinion, the worst gas station in San Jose. The gas is cheap so the lines get long and the concept of waiting your turn seems to not register with the patrons here which makes this place a hotbed of anger Sometimes the island pay-centers don't accept my card on the first try, sometimes they don't even accept cash forcing people to wait in line inside. This of course only causes the lines to get even worse. Honestly, spend the extra $1 (if that) and go to World Gas across the street. read more

Came here for 2 reasons. Get gas and buy ice. We get gas here because Arco has 5 times the amount of engine detergents that the EPA recommends. Also, it was very convenient for us on the way home. When I walked in to buy the ice, the cashier was helpful when I couldn't find it. Since it's close i'll probably come here again. read more

I've held my tongue for too long, but I finally need to vent: I prefer this station because it's the cheapest one in town at night. I got there at about 1:30, and the place is closed. This is not the first time I experienced this. I decide to let this slide and come back at 3:00. The place is still closed! I thought Arco was open 24 hours! Ghetto area. Good place to get inexpensive gas and the one-way exit keeps most idiots driving against the arrow - "Duh...do I go into pointed part?" I've met a few panhandlers, some nicer than others. All should get a job and pay their damn taxes, especially the young deadbeats who are capable but unwilling to work. This is my go to place for great coffee every morning! I love this AMPM! It is always so clean and organized. They have a huge variety of specialty creamers and a huge variety of different coffees. They always have everything stocked to the fullest! They even offer a coffee stamp card for every 4 coffees you buy, you get one free! The people here have an amazing customer service and are always greeting you and smiling! The perfect way to start my mornings! =) read more

This Arco offers a bit of cheaper gas for those who are really penny pinching. I hate waiting for gas here though because they only have half of what other gas stations usually have. The lines are always long but I do like that they have a bigger option for drinks and snacks inside. read more

Have to fill gas on Tuesday evening, the line was really long. Did not accept credit card, only debit card and service charge of $0.35. You have to charge it at another kiosh not attached to the gas pump or have to go into the store, thus causing the delay and long line. Overall, too time consuming to fill up gas here. read more

i used the outside pay machine and put in $16.00 a $10, $5, and a $1 bills went to pump gas and and pump stopped at $6.00 went into store and the clerk was rude and unhelpful just like the manager who i had spoke with who acted like i was tring to scam them for $10.00. why would i go through all this for $10.00 i just want whats mine and thats my $10.00. the lazy manager said that ther machine showed no sign of a extra tem on the record but she never took the time to count the money cos if she did then it would have been over $10.00 but im sure she pocketed it. when confronted on how to get ahold of the owner she wouldnt help me what so ever very bad customer service read more
