I took my car here for smog check. They blew up my radiator and would not take responsibility for it. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO THIS PLACE IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR CAR. TERRIBLE PLACE. I've had my car for years (2015 model) and it has had 0 problems. I took it here for a routine smog check and on the way back my coolant started leaking out and the radiator started smoking. The shop staff flatly responded "I do not take responsibility". I will never visit this gas station / service shop again. read more

This gas station is NOT open 24 hours. In theory, it closes at 10pm and opens at 6am. And I say in theory because the gas station doesn't even honor their own schedule. I've seen pumps closed well before 10pm and not open until 6:30am. So be careful about timing your visit. read more

Came by the other day as this was the second cheapest Top Tier gas station in South San Jose! This gas station really tried to step it up by putting directional arrows to and from the two "sections" of the gas station. Payment island was functional as it accepted my gift card and was able to dispense my receipt. Fuel pump was operational and was able to pump a full tank without having the pump click off at every $.... Squeegees and Paper Towels were also available. ...the gas station is crowded so it's best to be quick on your feet! read more

Probably the cheapest gas station in south San Jose (10 cents less than other ARCO) It's always packed. Patrons are entering lanes in wrong direction and can be pretty aggressive. Otherwise it's the standard ARCO service with everything you might need (so no credit card at the pump, only cash or debit (+.35 cents)). Friendly staff. read more

I was riding my bike today and got a flat far from home. I stopped by this station to use the air pump. I went into the cashier area and asked the woman behind the counter is she could please turn the air on for me and she flatly said "NO". I showed her my bike and said "I have a flat tire, you wont help me?" to which she answered "NO". I've bought gas at this station for decades. Never again. You want cheap gas (relative term, I know) in south San Jose? This Arco is it! Usually the best prices by 1-3 cents in this general area. For a gas station, it's ok. They do have two service areas with pumps but getting in and out of here is sometimes awkward. Not too crowded here usually though so that's good. Just be careful and watch. Nice clients here, too. They all pull into the pumps "the right way" and no hassles with that weirdness. I use my ATM card to pay outside and my gripe for all of the Arco's is the fact that they charge me 45 cents for this transaction. So, it can make the gas price higher if you're not really filling your tank from empty. But, it's easier for me to use this rather than having to carry a bankroll of cash in order to gas my vehicle up! New dislike: What's up with the talking, commercial playing TVs on top of each pump now? I don't need this! Assault on the senses with more advertising. I do try a lot of different gas stations I've been noticing for my bookmarks. So here is another one about Arco gas, this location generally has good prices. This place does get busy from time to time so you do have to wait but if you come in the morning or in the late afternoon hours you using can get out in and out pretty quick. Again I'm not want to use a gas station bathroom so I would not have any idea what they look like how they smell how clean they are. The market here is not the biggest but they do have sodas water and some snacks. The employee is not the friendliest but he does get you in and out quickly and sometimes that's all we need. So if you're looking for a good deal on gas you need to get this Arco station a try. read more

If your going to get gas from this station, either come here early in the morning or after 8:30pm. Aside from those hours, you'll probably be waiting in line wasting your time. The gas is reasonably priced compared to the Chevron down the street on Meridian. If you use your ATM card, I believe the charge is around .50. Have to take a trip to the counter and pay cash... Getting out onto Branham is also busy, especially if you need to head East. If your heading that way, just take the exit onto Jarvis to make the left onto Branham Ln. read more

Cheapest gas station around! (Cheap being relative of course.) I know nothing about their service, but luckily this is right near my house so it's easy for me to get this lower-priced gas. I've seen it be more of a difference than 1-3 cents like the other reviewer. Usually it's at least 5-10 cents difference. They only charge $.45 for debit card use, which still is better than paying for the higher priced gas, most of the time. Wish they took credit cards, though, but then I'd probably being paying more, so I guess it's ok. read more

In the quest for the cheapest gas, this place should get some notice. The prices here are always 5-10 cents cheaper than other discount gas stations. There maybe a few cheaper stations in San Jose, but they are located in parts of the city that you jeopardize your safey. I think there is a Moe's stop somewhere on Mckee thats cheaper, but like I said, you run the risk of getting jacked. The only downfall of Arcos is that you are not able to pay with credit card at the pump...you can only use cash or debit cards. If you go at off hours there is no line, but at peak times, the line of cars may go 5-6 deep. read more

After a few minutes I even asked if I can just pay and stated that people coming In the morning are in a hurry to get to work. They gave me a dirty look and went about their conversation. This Arco station is consistently cheaper than other gas stations in the area but they must make their profit off the overpriced snacks, drinks, and smokes. Go to the 7-11 next door if you need anything other than a fill-up. read more

I paid with cash mainly ones bc I'm a college student who works and only had a $10 bill and had 14 ones with me I put the ones down counted out 10 ones and he took it recounted when I was zipping up my purse and said it was 7 I said no and he argued with me and demanded I give him more money if I wasn't almost to empty I would've taken my money and left but I was desperate for gas I told him just put what I gave and he said no you said 20 so give me more. In this day and age no one should be demanded money like that especially when they're just in college trying to make it. I know what I have with me at all times and I know he stole from me I emailed customer service and what did they tell me " we don't know what you're talking about our cameras don't show that" well maybe you need a camera on the cashier not the store. read more

One of the best prices in South San Jose in a pleasant neighorhood. Gets really busy unless you come early in the morning or later in the evening. Otherwise, very few idiots actually drive against the arrows when filling up. Debit card charge is $0.35 as of this post. read more

This is a pretty spiffy gas station. I mean it's got everything you could ask for. Gasoline, petrol, diesel, air, and at least 80% of the pumps work at any given time. Pretty great place to get pumped, if you ask me. read more
