PROS+ +Discount gas with car wash purchase +Car wash punch card-buy 5 get one free +Always, alwaya clean inside and out +Mechanic shop attached (reputable) +Easy on/off access Camden & Kooser CONS- -No alcohol sales (there's a liquor store next door) -Small inside shop (but roomy) with limited selection -Fair gas prices, not always the lowest I get gas here, get my car washed here and have had my car smogged here. I cannot complain! The attendants inside, at the car wash and mechanic shop are outstanding with customer service. When I was getting my car smogged tested (cost $55), the mechanic was nice enough to point out some minor leaks that needed attention. read more

FR [fuel rewards] listed on screen at the time of processing payment but it doesn't actually work. I moved over to a separate pump assuming the one I was currently at was not working. Unfortunately, the same thing occurred with the 2nd pump I visited! I was in a rush and didn't have the time to actually go into the Shell Food Mart and speak to someone about how/why this wasn't accessible. 2 stars. I was in dire need of fuel and it did the job. I am always very satisfied coming into this gas station because the service has always been pretty amazing it also would surprise me on how everyone's energy and attitude are always the same they're always happy they're always uplifting and cheerful when you walk in and when you leave. Just want to clear up some confusion for those who left one star! A double charge or some sort of fraud at the pumps is bogus! They are inspected every shift (twice a day) what looks like a double charge to some of you customers is this: 1) is a preauthorization charge say ex. $60. What you asked for, but u only pump $50. The remainder $10 automatically goes back to your card and $60 u preauthorized turns into a +$10! If you believe you've been double charged plz come in with a bank statement proving otherwise and we'll gladly refund u for any such double charge! And to the gentleman about the air for a dollar that employee no longer works there I'm sorry that happened to you but at the same time free air is for paying customers and you should have your receipt when you come and ask for it for verification & you think air is free yea sure the air u breath but it's not when you have 50+ people using the machine and destroying the hoses that are pretty expensive and need constant repairing! Their machine went wonky and ate my credit card and won't let me have it back. Had to call the attendant and he didn't know what to do. Stood there for a good 30 minutes trying to figure out what to do. He kept pressing differing buttons and stuff. Then he gave up and all of a sudden the machine spits my credit card out. He suggested I try another machine for my gas so I tried another machine and same thing happened!! I panicked because i did not want to be stuck there for another 30 mins. Luckily, this machine just took a bit longer to process the card and it went through. Got my gas finally but what an ordeal. There's always a few machines not working properly for whatever reason here. Just luck of the draw. On the bright side, it seems to be not too busy whenever I'm there and clean around the gas station. I've also used the car wash and it's pretty convenient with the purchase of gas there. read more

Consistently closes before the time they say they close, they close at 10 and I always get there around 945 and if the older Asian man is closing he always closes the store before 10 today was 944 and the shop was closed even though I double checked the hours stated on their store that says 10, super frustrating read more

I get gas here on a regular, and all the pumps work fine every time. I brought my 2007 Chevy Cobalt here to have the alternator, brakes, drums, rotors, and a front end bushing replaced. I brought the car to the mechanic(who is a great guy by the way) at 8am and it was done by 2:30pm. I was thoroughly impressed and still have intentions of bringing my wife's old car here to get Smogged. This place is convenient and generally not very busy. It's on a corner for great access! Prices are comparable. Went through the car wash and it was a little difficult getting through because you need to make sure your tire goes through the pulley. There is an attendant that will direct you and there is a mirror to help guide you. Great customer service! Very clean and updated. The food mart is convenient and has snacks to go. Fix your pumps!!!!! Every time I go here, I find the pump that doesn't work. It won't stay engaged and I find it extremely annoying when I have to stand there and hold the pump in. What is this, the 1940's? I hate getting gas in the first place, when a place makes it even harder for me, I will not go back. I have given this place several tries and keep trying different pumps but I'm done. My last visit, I put $20 of gas in my tank instead of the $75 I usually put in because I am SO fed up with the crappy facility. Fix things that are broken! read more

I was there just a while ago and everything was perfectly fine up until I went into the car wash. I think at this point the just hire anyone, the lady in the blond hair was clearly on something and extremely rude. I was a little confused on how to fix the car before putting it there and I was literally getting yelled at, like if I did something wrong. I came here after a long drive from Denver, colorado to get a tune up and make sure everything was okay with my car. The staff was super nice and helpful. I thought since I had a foreign car, they were going to charge more for getting stuff done on it, but I was actually very happy with the price for everything they did. I felt they were honest and legit, because most auto shops try to rip you off when a girl goes into one of these places.. This place just got a new mechanic who is extremely honest and knows what he's doing. He will check your car and tell you exactly what you need fixed unlike some mechanics who will make stuff up. I wasn't very happy with the previous mechanic but the new guy, who just started about a month or two ago is AWESOME! I definitely recommend this place. read more

I like this gas station, it's nicely remodeled and looks really nice. I came one morning to fill up, and I have a handicapped placard; it's difficult for me to exit my car when it's close to the pump. I honked my horn 2x according to the directions given, and got no response from the employee who was doing some sweeping nearby. I struggled to get out of my car; I was born with mobility issues with my hip, and I also have an artificial hip on my left side, so I have to manually lift my leg out of the car. I got my gas, and went inside to nicely inquire why I wasn't helped when there are 2 employees on duty (this is required, unless there's only 1 employee on duty), which I completely understand. Someone has to "mind the store." The nice woman I spoke to apologized and said she would watch for my car in the future if I came to fill up in the morning. I came after work last night, repeated the same procedure, waited about 5 mins and was completely ignored. I didn't have time to go in and inquire if there were 2 employees on duty. How are disabled people supposed to know whether there are 2 people on duty, so one person can help pump gas? We can't just wait and be ignored! It's a struggle for me to pump my gas, and it's sometimes painful physically. I will do it if I have to. I like coming to this gas station because of the convenience of having it so close to home. OK, I'm redoing my star rating to three stars because after the shocks mishap, I went to talk to the manager of this Shell station, brought the receipts from their work and also the Sears in Tracy and the damaged shock (which was in the shape of a boomerang). The manager refunded me $316 for both shocks and all of the labor, and he apologized. I still will not use them again, but at least this matter was settled satisfactorily. read more
