Missed the boat on reviewing this frequent fueling stop when we are in the San Jose area. Dear Hubby and I have been here many times when staying nearby, or passing through. It's actually convenient for us to drop off the 280 before moving on to the 101 when heading southbound. It's not that many blocks off the freeway, and there are plentiful pumps and good prices. Plus, it's the same price when paying with a credit card versus having to carry cash to pony up for gasoline. (To get a decent price.) The approach to the gas pump islands is wide open, and there are lanes aplenty to keep things moving. The gasoline quality seems to make our car happy, so it's all good! read more

Costco at a Raleigh is a local location of warehouse. Years ago in 2019 I had priorly applied for a job to work here at location which I had interviewed and got hired with offer almost immediately. But, I had already just recently accepted another job position. So I had referred my baby dad to this location. I would come here to visit him on occasions to pick him up from work. I only speak communication primarily in English in warehouse and to any other associates of customer services at this location at membership desk. Its Costco and its gas. This follows the same basic format all of them do.: Multiple pumps, a lane so you can jump ahead and not have to wait for others, a red/green system to tell you which pump is empty, and long hoses so it does not matter which pump you use just pick the shortest line. This one has a ton of pump and was fairly crowded, but with all the features listed above the line moves quick. They are pretty consistently the cheapest gas option in any given area. Also the pumps are nicely away from the warehouse so it helps to de-conflict the traffic a bit. read more

This Costco Gas next to the Great Oaks Costco consistently has the best gas prices in the Santa Teresa/Edenvale area. It can get busy in the evening time and on the weekends. The lines move fairly quickly though. I usually come here to get gas, pump my tires at the free air pump station in front of the Costco Tire Center, and then get some grocery shopping done at Costco. It's very convenient and I look forward to continuing to pump gas at this Costco Gas location (at least until I buy an electric vehicle sometime in the future). read more

Came here for you guessed it, pump some gas. Prices have really been getting up there and its hard to find a place with reasonable gas prices. Costco is usually a good place to pump up and get a good deal on gas, but lately gas seams to be expensive everywhere. I like that they have lots of pumps and you can pump from both sides of your car because they have long hoses. This makes it convienant when there are long lines and your trying to find the shortest line. I also like the red and green lights at top to show you which pumps are open for you to use. I come to this Costco gas station fairly regularly which is located in south San Jose, near Great Oaks Blvd & Hwy. 85/101. This location also tends to be less busy than some of the others I have visited recently. Even during peak times with 10-12 cars ahead of me at the 3-pump service lane, I rarely wait more than about 15 minutes. The gas prices here are pretty competitive, often beating most of stations in the area. They usually beat Arco, Rotten Robbie, Safeway, and many of the smaller independents. Bear in mind this is as good quality fuel that you'd be getting from most any major company like Chevron, Shell, 76, Mobile, Exxon, or Valero. The ethanol content for Costco's gas can be up to 10%, which is the same and typical found at most stations. Costco is "top tier" gas, with no fancy additives that add to the cost. Your car won't know the difference, and you'll get the same mileage and performance than you would with any other gasoline. The major difference with Costco, however is the lower cost, as much as $1 per gallon average savings compared to the majors. Obviously the main reason they are so much cheaper than most other stations is due to the enormous volume that Costco is buying from their wholesale sources. They buy A LOT of gasoline and pass that savings to their members. As typical with most Costco products, they branded as "Kirkland Signature Gasoline", you can be sure the actual product you are putting in your car is the EXACT same stuff from one of the major fuel companies anyway. Costco obviously can't tell you who's gas they are reselling, but I have a pretty good idea based on people I know who work in this industry. HINT: It starts with an "S". ;) You just get GAS here and nothing else. It's for Costco members only and you must insert your membership card first and they only accept approved payments same as any Costco warehouse. That's usually VISA cards, either debit or credit. Costco also has a contactless payment fob you can swipe to pay quickly instead of having to swipe two cards every time. With the high gas prices especially here in California this is likely going to be one of your best and most reliable options. The only reason they get 4 stars instead of 5 is simply due to the fact I've encountered some pumps inoperable or flaky, although that occurs quite infrequent to be honest. One last tip, if you are pressed for time be sure to visit between 9am and 11am on weekdays. Try to avoid weekends or commute hours to save yourself the wait. read more

Gas is for members of Costco only. I originally got a Costco Membership for the sole purpose of getting gas at a cheaper price. The pros are they have long hoses so you can fill from either side which is good because when it's busy you can just choose the shortest line without having to worry about which side your gas tank door is on. The pumps are two deep here The cons are they don't have the windshield cleaner and squeegees that other gas stations have to clean your windshield while the gas is pumping. It's just a gas station and very well maintained, not dirty. It can be busy so best to go on the week days and earlier in the morning. read more

I bought gas here on Friday evening and there were the same amount of cars as some other Costco gas places. I haven't been to the Costco here yet, but that will have to be another review and time. There were a few Costco staff at the gas station to assist anybody that needed help; otherwise, it was pretty straightforward (swipe Costco card then swipe credit/debit card). The prices for any gas here would be a lot cheaper than non-Costco gas stations so that was good for those who want to save a little bit of money. The only downside is you need a Costco membership...the upside is you'll definitely return yourself the price of a costco membership by buying gas exclusively at Costco. There are about 8 stations each with two pumps. Everything is clean and I'm usually in and out in about 10 minutes. It's pretty busy on weekends and anytime post work, Mon-Fri from about 4ish. I recommend on the day off during the week if you can. They have 87 and 91 octane as well as diesel. Bright, well lit as affordable gas...can't really ask for more than that. read more

One of the newest Costco locations in the South SJ area - I am stoked to find out that this place has finally opened! I originally showed up a few days before their official opening (too anxious haha) This location is about a few minutes closer to where I live compared to the Almaden Costco, which is a definite plus. I got to visit for the 1st time today and loveeee all the new shopping carts (none of those squeaky or clunky old carts) and the clean atmosphere. Everything was super tidy and nice - plenty of parking also! It's pretty much a hidden gem if you ask me. They also have a full service Costco Gas station for members. Overall, I was pleased and was able to get in and out fairly quickly. They had my fav Sambazon Acai Juice on sale today from the normal $8 down to $5 - YAY! Very spacious gas station. Clean and orderly. Cheap gas price with friendly staff to assist you if needed. The line goes fast and you don't have to wait too long. There are just not so smart drivers who can't read the signs that Costco posted - like this one big Chevy Suburban who parked in the EV parking. EV means "electric vehicle", not big gas guzzler vehicle. Costco's security should impose the rule in parking and give them some sort of warning or parking ticket so these sort of people will learn some lesson. Imposing these parking rules will help this facility remain orderly and pleasant to visit. read more
