What can I say about this gas station? It's a gas station! I come here two to three times a week; each trip is always a full tank, which is breaking the bank for me since gas is insanely going up again. Sighs. Never really notice much what's in the store 'cause I've never been inside despite the fact that I'm a regular here. I like that arrows are provided, which I find almost always helpful; let drivers know where to go to face their vehicle. But then again, there are those rebels. Gotta love those rebels. I come here around noon time and I can't recall a time when there was ever a long line. The universe must be in favor of me! I also like that cards are allowed 'cause I'm not a fan of using cash since I want to fill up my gas tank, and I don't want to have to go to the cash register, hand in $45, and once my gas tank is full, it reads $44.21. Now, I gotta pick up my change, and I find that a hassle 'cause I'm always on the go! No time. I use my ATM debit, and I dislike the .35 cents fee. I know it's only in cents, but hey, it's still robbing my money! Overall, this gas station is convenient for me; closer to home and that's how I like it. read more

Definitely one of the cheaper gas stations in the area. Gets really packed over the weekend when there are lines of people getting gas, I usually filled up during the week though to beat that. Decent service inside the little store too. read more

Getting gas here felt like getting in a time machine and going back 20 years.... and not in a good way. They wont accept a credit card, only cash or ATM. On top of that you can't even pay at your individual pump, instead there is a single pay kiosk in the middle of all the pumps. When it's busy that means you have to wait in line just to pay before you can even start pumping your gas.... seriously it's 2011 people!!! This place is also extremely run down. Everything is dirty and/or broken. The pumps take forever, these seriously have to be the slowest pumps in the South Bay. The lanes are extremely narrow making it a hassle to get in and out of here when it's crowded. The only benefit to going to an Arco station is that they have AM/PM stores filled with insane amounts of things to drink/snack on. This location doesn't have an AM/PM, instead it has a dingy little matchbox store with almost nothing inside of it. The gas is only a fraction cheaper here compared to the only gas stations in the area. This is definitely the first and last time I will ever get gas here. read more

This is the one of the cheapest gas stations in the area...even besting Costco's wholesale prices most of the time. It's also so popular that the ATM payment machines outside are cracked and missing buttons. And the arrows directing you to stations have weathered to become bidirectional - causing some potentially funny parking positions. Most times you come here, some crudely handwritten signs will tell you that half the stations are completely shot, but in California, cheap gas is cheap gas. read more

I'm not really reviewing the gas station itself. It's a gas station, which happens to require you pay at a kiosk and only takes cash and ATM to reduce their costs. But I'm compelled to review their Smog Center which is, strangely enough, really nice - for a smog center. First, their inspector Jonathan was super friendly. He greeted me with a smile and let me know I'd be right after the other car. You know how you can look at someone and see that they actually like what they do? That's Jonathan. They have this shady cabana area where you can park yourself on some cushioned wicker furniture, they have coffee waiting, and you can just watch the El Camino. There's not much else to it other than it was just comfortable, not run down like other smog centers. I've been in some where you're literally sitting on furniture that's been picked up off the side of the road or a fold up metal chair with grease stains. He finished in about 12 minutes. If you have to smog your vehicle, it might as well be a pleasant experience. read more

Never take your car to get serviced at this place. I took my car there after the check engine light came on. They ran the diagnostic test and informed me I need to change the fuel injections and I had to drop close to $1000 only to have the car show the same symptoms again only days after the repair. Once I took it back they told me that there is another problem (even though they had done a diagnostic). This is really a shady practice to run the diagnostics and then charge you for service and then find out it was something else. Very disturbing. Now I am left with a car that I dropped a lot of money and it is still not working. read more

If i could give 0 rating they deserve it. I contacted the Tesoro Corp which they referred me to the regional office handling the management at this site and filed a complaint with this station regarding the 2 employees. I should get a call back within 5 days. The regional office was apologizing for the actions of these 2 people and gave me a case number. If you have a bad experience report them at 1800- 333- 3991. Went in yesterday in evening to pump gas. Decided to put a little air needed in my front tire on a 2015 vehicle. I placed $1.50 in quarters in the machine (all the change i had in quarters since it was QUARTERS ONLY) and the air pressure coming from the machine was barely blowing. I tried numerous times to fit the worn old nozzle in my tire which resulted more in letting air out. i gave up and went to ask for help. No attendant present in the snack shop , so i walked around to the mechanical shop after seeing no one was there and customers gave up and left their purchases. i ask if someone could help me with the air machine. older middle eastern guy who had a limp looked at me and I could already tell he wasnt going to be much help looked as if i was bothering him. He went and called out to the attendant "Luz" who came out from the bathroom which she was cleaning. Somewhat Making a long story short. Luz went and turned on the air machine tried to place the nozzle herself on my tire to try to "prove me wrong" after she claimed the machine was working and that the problem is my tire. Asked her for my 1.50 back in quarters to go to another shop. She said no rolled her eyes and walked away. I followed her and I asked the guy in the shop to help me since Luz was being a b$!#& and he basically said the shop and gas station is seperate and no he wasnt going to help me..i asked BOTH who was the manager and THEY BOTH IGNORED ME...Happy to say that in the end i got my 1.50 back from Luz although she huffed and puffed punched in the register rolled her eyes and cursed under her breath and basically tossed in my hand a bill and 2 quarters when i walked back inside the snack shop after she saw me telling another unsuspected victim to the air machine to not use it since it was not working. No sense in any customer service from the shop or gas station. I kept my cool the whole time althought i was persistant in getting help or my last quarters back. This shop needs to teach these employees some customer service skills and replace the nozzle on the air machine or fix that machine. i def wont be back here for nothing. There is another gas station just a few blocks down who were VERY NICE. read more

This is usually where the cheapest gas is found in the city of Santa Clara (as is most Arco stations) but be prepared to wait. This is a particularly small station so the lines can get long, especially during the evenings (after people work) or weekends. read more

Will never give this place my money. Was getting gas and after a glitch in their system I swiped my atm card twice. It charged me twice. When I told the cashier of the error he told me I should have known not to swipe twice. Excuse me?? Let me take my car and money somewhere else. Don't you ever go there again unless you pay with cash!! Yesterday I was there and I bought two bottles of water ( mid -size) and the total was 3$. I woke up this morning checking my account transactions and guess what they charge me 40$ more. At first, I said it might be a mistake from the employee that he charged me more but after I read couple of comments have the same issue I knew that was not a mistake. Of course I reported that to my bank and my money will return. However, I also contact my lawyer to ask if I can suit them because it's not the first time they do it neither the last time. They need to be stopped unless the police get in this situation and throw this employee (thief) in the jail or he will not stop doing this. If any one has this problem recently please contact me so we can stop these thieves. My money will return but unless I do something to stop them they will do it to other people and who knows maybe some of them didn't check the transaction so they will never know that their 3$ bottle of water becomes 43$. read more

Don't ever come here shady bastards! I bought a can of propane for my sons birthday party because it was last minute. Because I did not have an exchange they charge me $55 the normal price is $25. So the guy told me if I bring the exchange at a later time they will refund me the difference which is $27. So I come back with the receipt and the empty container and say hey I use the propane and I'm here to give you the exchange can I please have my difference.all of a sudden they don't do that they had a call the manager up on the phone and I'm arguing with him for five minutes he says they don't return empty containers to AmeriGas which doesn't make sense. Why do you offer an exchange if you don't take them back the only difference is is you're giving me my $27 you're taking the can anyways. I told him I've been gassing up once a week for the past 12 years if he's willing to lose a customer over $25 then so be it all he could say is I'm sorry. So guess what Shell made them a new customer! Don't ever trust the shady bastards unless it's in writing and I'm sure even with that they'll get out of it read more
