Bought a crusty mini van on Craigslist so that I can deliver parts for a local shop. I had to get it smogged so that I can register the car. I didn't know the condition of the van at all and bought it from a stranger. The seller told me the car had some problems but he didn't know what it is so he gave me a fair price just in case the van required some major fixing. I came by on a Friday morning and met with one of the techs there. He told me to park on the side and wait about 10 minutes while he wraps up the car ahead of me. I pull forward and he uses the scanner on the van and tells me that the car will not pass smog due to some error lights on the scanner. He told me that these issues have to be fixed in order to pass smog. I was very leery, but I got a quote from him to see how much they would fix that stuff for. I called my friend to verify that it was a good deal and he gave me the thumbs up. I was told to leave my car there or wait for a few hours for everything to be done. I got picked up and went to lunch and cruised around and got the call around 3pm to come get the van. Not only did the van run better, but it passed smog AND he gave me a free Oil Change! Great work! I don't trust mechanics, but these guys seemed genuine and did a great job. read more

I went to withdraw money from their ATM, and it did not dispense my money. The worker contacted the owner and only suggested I call the number on the ATM machine. I called my bank to file a claim, and they said they'll contact the bank of the ATM owner. The machine didn't have a sign that said it did not work, and still took the money from my account. I was there for 20 minutes trying to talk to the worker/manager to see what I can do. I had to figure it out myself because they were no help. read more

They took care of a smog check. And when it didn't pass they gave me some advice that worked. Without charge they retested my car and got it re certified. I recommend them and I will go back for future service. read more

Are you kidding me? 2 stars for Valero? This Sunny Oaks, Winchester Blvd. Valero is my gas station staple. I pick up propane for the BBQ, gas for the car, and if I wanted to, they now have a deli where I can grab a quick bite to nosh on the way to work. The pumps are open early, so I don't have to search for other stations in the morning light. Best of all, there's hardly a wait to fill up on gas. read more

My car is 14 years old, and I have been bringing it here for smog checks from the beginning. This is a husband and wife owned business, and the two of them couldn't be more pleasant. I've never had to wait for a smog check, but I have had the good luck of showing up (twice!) just as he was finishing up with someone else. The smog check is quick and efficient. I would say I was out of there in a little over 15 minutes this time, including paying. $69.95 out the door, including having the certificate sent electronically to the DMV. I have moved and this place is no longer actually close by, but I still came back for the smog check. Nice people. read more

It was great to see mid grade unleaded for $3.01. A small corner station with four pumps. Then to drive down Winchester, drove past an ARCO station with the same grade for $2.87....but they charge a service fee to use your ATM to pay for gas... A h well...at least gas prices are going down everywhere. read more

This place looks clean & easy access. However, be very careful using your card. My card was fraudulently used a couple of days after filling my car with gas. I contacted my bank and concluded that someone is copying cards used in the machine. This was the 2nd time it has happened to me where I had to cancel my card after using it at this gas station. I will never put gas there ever again. read more

I visit at least twice a month for about 10 years. Kim and her family of coworkers are warmly and sociable, and it is ni er a place considering that it is a gas station. With that, they off a variety of snacks and drinks, as usual. Nice place. read more

Was going to get gas and some old guy was all up our ass cuz I asked to use the restroom. He was demanding where our car was. Like yeah I'd totally pump gas before going to the restroom when I'm about to burst. Owner is cheap and rude, place is dirty and run down. Would not recommend. Was told to use credit instead of debit, had to run card through a few times, screen said approved for a 10.00 gas purchase...clerk pulled the receipt and said the transaction didn't go through and apologized. I went back to my car, and the text came through that 10.00 had been approved and deducted...I went back to the clerk and showed her the text and asked why she said the purchase was not approved, and she changed the story to that the money would be refunded the next day...I asked to see the manager and she said he was gone. A mechanic came up and said my money would refunded in a day and both would say no more. 10.00 won't break me, but the way this was handled with two different stories and attitude makes me grateful that I didn't trust them with something bigger than gas like a repair. Update: five days later, money still deducted, no refund as promised. Avoid using a card with this business. read more

Zero stars! We had to stop here so my wife could run in with our 5 year old in order to go to the bathroom and wouldn't you know it the cashier was on a power trip saying the bathroom was for paying customers only. My wife said that is fine and we would buy something as soon as our daughter could use the bathroom since she was about to burst. The cashier started giving my wife grief about how she should buy something first but he eventually gave her the key. The guy is luck my wife didn't tell me until we we're almost home or I would have yelled at the jerk. I hope one day someone purposely goes to the bathroom in the store while this guy is working so he has to clean it up. read more

Cheap gas prices. I usually try to find a Valero gas station (or Arco if you have cash or a debit card). Valero is the best if you want to use a credit card in my opinion. read more

In 2010, this guy did a good job with the smog, passed first time, charged $50. But today, it failed for speed sensor malfunction, and the engine check light came on mysteriously, charge was still $50. He referred me to Stevens Creek Automotive, and they charged me $167 ($157 for labor & diagnostics and $10 for certificate). Smog passed without doing anything. It sounds so fishy to me, these two places may be part of a scam network. read more
