I was experiencing what I felt was an urgent situation (flashes in my peripheral vision) and was trying to avoid the ER. I called so many places and couldn't get in for weeks even after I explained what I was experiencing. I called Arden Park Optometry 5 minutes before closing on Monday, and was squeezed in Tuesday morning. The entire staff is so kind and supportive. They even fixed my glasses and tightened them for me (I'm primarily a contact lens user, so I've been putting this off for years). I've had many horrible experiences with optometry and ophthalmology offices over the last 30 years or so, so I was literally shaking. Dr. Paymaun and office staff were gentle, kind, patient, and explained everything that they were doing while they did it. I felt so much at ease - not easy to do. I got a complete and very thorough exam by Dr. Paymaun and I am clear on next steps. This office is a solid trek for me from Elk Grove but it is 100% worth it for me. The following review was written by my husband. I've had vision problems all my life so I've seen dozens of doctors and specialists. My previous optometrist had retired so I needed to find a new one. I found Arden Park Optometry by searching for a scleral lens specialist. Dr. Paymaun is beyond a specialist. He is extremely knowledgeable and experienced with all vision types. Easily one of the best optometrists I've ever seen. I urgently needed scleral lenses. I had went to another optometrist last year and they were not able to help my specific problem. All they did was max out my insurance and leave me with junk hybrid lenses.  My wife was pregnant and I wanted to be able to drive her to the hospital on the big day. I went to Dr. Paymaun and he was able to get me a pair of scleral lenses within days! Three days later my wife went into labor and I was able to easily drive her to the hospital. Review based on prospective client inquiry - not on any services rendered. I submitted an online inquiry to find out whether Arden Park was in-network with my EyeMed Plus insurance. Within a matter of minutes, the Dr called to get some clarification on my inquiry. The doctor was professional, easy to understand, and stepped in to help verify my insurance. Although he said it seems like their practice is out-of-network, he will have his staff double check after their scheduled break. I cannot say enough great things about Arden Park Optometry. Dr. Paymaun Asnaashari (Dr. P.) is fantastic. He is extremely knowledgeable and obviously cares a great deal about his patients and their well-being. After taking scans of my retinas, Dr. P explained the results in terms that I could easily understand, and he explained my options for corrective lenses. The staff is also great. Everyone is incredibly friendly, and I never have trouble getting an appointment. Arden Park Optometry also accepts the VSP vision insurance plan that is offered to state workers. I've been coming to Arden Park Optometry since I was born. My mom started coming here 35 years ago. It's changed owners as well as names a couple times but you stick with it because you want to stay. I am so happy to have found Arden Park Optometry. I hadn't gone to the eye doctor in about 10 years because I was afraid of getting my eyes dilated. Luckily, Arden Park Optometry invested in a fancy camera that photographs your eyes. The doctor explained that most patients don't have to have their eyes dilated unless there is an abnormality in their photographs. I was able to drive home after my appointment since the camera does not cause discomfort. The office is clean and modern and offers plenty of parking. The front desk staff and medical assistant are friendly and helpful. Dr. Paymaun was very knowledgeable and addressed all of my concerns. I was able to get a prescription for blue light glasses to help with screen fatigue. I was able to buy the blue light glasses online through an online retailer, though Arden Park Optometry also offers plenty of frame options in-office. Arden Park Optometry was also able to squeeze me in for an emergency eye appointment on a different occasion. I was so relieved after having eye swelling and redness all weekend. I highly recommend Arden Park Optometry and Dr. Paymaun for your vision needs. read more

I feel like a huge weight has been lifted. Finding a new optometrist can be very stressful for me since I have very bad vision, and I still like to wear both contacts (SynergEyes Duettes no less) AND glasses. Off the bat, their website was incredibly enticing with modern design, compared to every other site I looked up. It was easy to call them up and confirm they had experience with my brand of contact lens, and an open enough schedule to set an appointment to see me within a week. Dr. Paymaun Asnaashari communicated his process throughout the appointment, which was great because I like an informative experience. Not just the standard "do you like A better..or B". Haha. So, that was great. The office staff was very approachable, informative and quick to resolve any questions or curiosities I had on the glasses designs. They worked through my options based on my insurance and listened to my concerns. Dr. Paymaun even snuck his head out from around the back when he heard me ask a specific question. Not because the office staff didn't know, but just because he's that kinda guy! Very nice and eager/more than willing to help.
