I feel like a huge weight has been lifted. Finding a new optometrist can be very stressful for me since I have very bad vision, and I still like to wear both contacts (SynergEyes Duettes no less) AND glasses. Off the bat, their website was incredibly enticing with modern design, compared to every other site I looked up. It was easy to call them up and confirm they had experience with my brand of contact lens, and an open enough schedule to set an appointment to see me within a week. Dr. Paymaun Asnaashari communicated his process throughout the appointment, which was great because I like an informative experience. Not just the standard "do you like A better..or B". Haha. So, that was great. The office staff was very approachable, informative and quick to resolve any questions or curiosities I had on the glasses designs. They worked through my options based on my insurance and listened to my concerns. Dr. Paymaun even snuck his head out from around the back when he heard me ask a specific question. Not because the office staff didn't know, but just because he's that kinda guy! Very nice and eager/more than willing to help. Arden Park Optometry will be my family optometrist as long as I am in Sacramento, my work doesn't change vision insurance, and Arden Park Optometry is still open. When I read the reviews of this place I was skeptical of the amount of perfect reviews, but this business is truly a gem. Dr. Hinkley and her staff are warm and professional. I wanted glasses and contacts, so they worked with me to get the most out of my insurance. Then, Mae spent a considerable amount of time with me picking glasses. She is wonderful and personable and I highly enjoyed this experience. I had never worn contacts before and had been told by another optometrist that I couldn't due to a condition. When I brought this up with Dr. Hinkley, she assured me that it could be possible and got me fitted with a brand that works great for me. They even spent time teaching me how to take them on and off. I recently moved to the neighborhood and needed to find a new optometrist. I chose to give Arden Park Optometry a try after doing some research and seeing their good reviews. I went in for an eye exam and wanted to order more contacts and get some prescription sunglasses. My entire experience was great from start to finish. The office is in convenient location with plenty of parking right out front. The two ladies working at the front, Mae and Jasmin, were welcoming and also fun to talk to. One helped me do some initial testing/imaging and made sure to explain them all clearly. The other was very patient whileI was picking sunglasses frames and asking 100 questions (Do you like this one or this one? Do I want polarized? How much more is it if I do?) Dr. Paymaun was professional and easy to talk to, he took time to go over results of the exam and answer my questions. I got the impression that his priority is building good client relationships based on good care and trust over trying to upsell and rush through as many patients as possible. I left with new contacts (they had the ones I needed in stock!), an order for some nice prescription Gucci shades (which should be here in less than two weeks) and a new go-to Optometrist. I recently moved to Sacramento from the bay area. During the process of moving I misplaced my glasses and couldn't find them anywhere. My subscription had expired, so I couldn't get new glasses without a current subscription and my old optometrist was back in the bay area. So new to the area, without eye glasses, and without an optometrist in the area. I was in a bad situation. I found Arden Park Optometry on yelp. I called the office and explained my situation to the receptionist who answered the phone. She was very understanding & thoughtful. She understood I needed an appointment & glasses right away. She ran my insurance while I was on the phone and she gave me the earliest possible appointment that fit my schedule. In the meantime I was wearing my old glasses that I had super glued together to get me by. The day of the appointment the two young ladies at the front desk greated me with a smile and welcomed me to the Sacramento area. After my initial standard paperwork for first time patients the wait time was very short before they called me to the room. The girls were very thorough and explained everything during my examination before I met with the doctor. Dr. Paymaun was patient, he didn't rush thru the exam. Even though I had a late appointment time he didn't rush thru the exam. He took his time and explained everything as he went along. I had a very nice conversation with him as he went along. He was very sociable and had a great personality. He was very thorough, and he wished me and my wife the best as we embarked on a new adventure in a new city in our lives. Finding a good optometrist is like finding a good hair stylist. You have to trust them and hope they know what is best for your face (and your eyes duh). I found Dr. Hinkley through a random search and took the plunge. The result is that she is awesome!! In fact, she and her staff (Penny and Mae--I could be spelling her name wrong!?) are amazing women too. They have a nice selection of frames and sunglasses. None of that awkward cheap stuff you see at other mass market chain shops. She has everything from designers like Marc Jacobs to Kate Spade to more indie type brands. And everything is reasonably priced. Their stock rotates often so you'll see new stuff quite a bit that follows the trends. In fact, when I purchased my last pair, I bought a pair or rounded bright blue glasses I would never ever have picked myself. But they encouraged me when I asked about being more adventurous and helped me pick frames that flattered my face. I get compliments all the time when I wear them! Dr. Hinkley makes me laugh every time I see her and she really is candid about everything. She also was incredible in helping me manage my allergies this season. I described some symptoms and she recommended eye wipes and OTC eye drops with antihistamines that have made a huge difference. It easy to get an appointment and you never feel pressured or ignored here. They are always greeting patients and let you know that they will help as soon as they can if they are busy. If you're in the market for an optometrist I can't recommend Dr.Hinkley enough. read more

I got a new prescription from Eye Designs at the mall, but they did not have any frames that suited me, so I headed over to Stanton optical who had a ton of cheap but low quality frames. As soon as I walked through the door for my first appointment, I was immediately greeted by both staff members in the front office.
