Without their quick response, understanding and coordinating with Hospice, Mom would have never made it home, see all her grandchildren, set on the front porch on last time or eat a #12 from Braum's. Alex and Claudia were so understanding that we had to have 24/7 immediately in order to have hospice in. That was on a Friday. They had it set up for her to come home Monday. There were some cliches on coverage, but Eduardo made sure we had someone there. Much of that help came from Mary who took double shifts, stayed longer and just cared to make sure we had someone with mom. Mary was the one who was with me and Mom as she passed and Mary was the one who sat with me until the funeral home picked Mom up. You can not place a value on that support only be thankful. A few days later, I received another interview request (possibly from a different person), and that interview went well, so I decided to move forward. As I continued through the onboarding and training process, I noticed something concerning: it stated that training pay would not be received until after a 90-day review, even though the training was expected to be completed within about two weeks. I sent an email early Friday morning asking for clarification before continuing. By Tuesday, I still hadn't received a response, so I decided to withdraw from the process due to the lack of communication and uncertainty around pay. Interestingly, as soon as I sent my withdrawal email, I received an immediate response saying, "wish you the best," but still no clarification regarding the training pay. I'm not making any accusations--just sharing my experience. For me, clear communication and understanding when you'll be paid is important, especially when required training is involved. Just a heads up to others: ask questions, get clarity in writing, and pay attention to how companies communicate with you early on.

We planned for a home birth but my son had other ideas & at 41 weeks 2 days Gretchen saw indicators that this birth wasn't going to happen the way we wanted it to. I went to BSW Dallas & Gretchen coached me through a 9 hr active labor, first no drugs then gas then a dreaded epidural. We were minutes from an emergency c-section & I was useless to make decisions. She coached my husband on what to do & say to help me too. Finally, my son arrived 30 min past midnight after a 7 am admit to the hospital. This woman breathed with me, held my hands my legs all while we tried different birthing positions. Without her beside me I know for a fact my son would have been a c-section delivery & this would have been a worse experience than my first. Gretchen is worth every fee, before during & after delivery. I can't thank her enough for helping deliver my son; my 11 yr wait 'God Gift' safetly. - We didn't qualify for Medicaid but couldn't afford out of pocket insurance. The labor & delivery dept. in our town & 2 others nearby had closed almost a decade previously. So, we sold my car to pay 80% of the global fee & did a payment plan for the remainder. Anything to avoid a hospital bill. Which we did wind up incurring anyway but Gretchen still stayed by my side throughout. This woman is a Godsend.
