It wasn't bad. The service was good, the pizza was good, the prices were a bit more than warranted for the product.. They serve you a bowl of crackers when you come in. That was a bit weird. I'm not sure the thought process there but packaged crackers in a bowl are hardly appetizing- maybe it's that nobody eats them so they just reuse the same bowls constantly- saving money. The appetizer selection was pretty tiny as well. We decided to order two small pizzas because we've heard this is the best pizza place in El Paso. I'm going to have to disagree here and say the chain restaurant across the street serves more flavorful pies. They were okay. It wasn't bad. It wasn't great. The crust itself was similar to a cracker in flavor and texture. The sausage in my pizza was bland, but the veggies were fresh. The cheese was placed sparingly, which works sometimes, but this time it didn't. I was glad there was some cheese in the very middle of the pizzas. The building itself was beautiful and offered a romantic type atmosphere and perhaps with an order of wine it would have been much more enjoyable, but the food wouldn't have been the reason. If you need a quick bight for lunch and don't mind spending a bit more than fast food prices this is a good spot. If you're looking for great pizza, keep looking. read more

We went to a Ardovino's to meet a large group of people. They were accommodating in the allowed us to sit in the back. They have some wonderful happy hour specials, of which we all partook. I had the Joanna pizza. It was amazing. The wine was also good. The prices were good. I think our waiter was new. He had a little trouble separating the bills for that many people, so we were there much longer than we planned, but I'll definitely go again. read more

Love their salads. And pizzas are top shelf. Love this place. Our server was very knowledgeable and kept our drinks filled and made sure we had a great dining experience. We were kind of a loud group but we were out on the patio so don't think we disrupted the other diners. They also didn't rush us out so we were able to enjoy each others company. The hostess was excellent, but when it came down to someone to service, us no one came around. Management needs to do a better job about their servers. I've never had this problem before. The food was great however the service, not so great. We enjoyed their selection of unique pizzas and beers along with the extraordinary atmosphere. As for the service- it was not busy when we got there. The waitress skipped us and attended to the table that sat after us. No one acknowledged us or even brought a menu. We had to ask the hostess/waiter/bartender that sat us for drinks. Then, the waitress decided she was not attending us so the hostess/waiter/bartender said he would be our help us. You ever go on a date with a really pretty girl and think to yourself, "Damn, this girl is A+ material! The kind I'd take home to Momma. I wanna give her half my stuff and I don't even have the marriage license yet!" ...and then like, 4 days later...you find out she has syphilis? Okay, neither have I. But the aforementioned hypothetical scenario is the best metaphor I could think of to accurately describe my take-out experience with Ardovino's Pizza. I had this place bookmarked for months, but never quite managed to visit. And judging from their location, I could tell exactly why immediately. Right off the bat, you see them placed inexplicably behind a Dairy Queen...almost in an incognito type fashion. I mean, what are they...ashamed? Or perhaps self aware that all the anemic photos of their pizza turn out to tell pretty much the whole story? Oh that's right. The only thing I ordered from here (for myself) was a small cheese pizza. Because I had been curious about this place for a long time and wanted to form my own analysis on the would-be, upscale, sit-down pizza restaurant. I would be the first to tell you that looks really CAN be deceiving. It's never a good sign when your common chain restaurant competitors make better pizza than you do. Right from the first glance, I had my doubts. The pizza looked and tasted like a typical pizza from the school cafeteria. It was stoic, pointless, tasteless and a complete utter joke. Why is the cheese perfectly flat with minimal to no flavor or flair? Is that the new style for making pizzas now? It looks like someone took American cheese slices, placed them on top of pita bread and covered it all with tomato sauce from the grocery store. Ya know, the kind I used to try to make when I was in the 4th grade. Also got my daughter a calzone. Now, this place lost points on the calzones immediately after I ordered one. And it wasn't just because of the fact that even my daughter found the calzone itself to be hideous. It's because...they are all pre-made. That's right. They don't even make fresh calzones. How I know this is because when I tried to request a customized order, the lady taking the call was like, "well, I could maybe see if they could cut one open real quick and.." Right after that, I cut her off and said, "Whatever. I'll just order the pepperoni and sausage one." Which did not help AT ALL, because the calzone [my daughter said] had a superfluous amount of sausage which was as dry as the Sahara desert, very little cheese in it and burnt edges. Honestly, my mind was blown that a pretentiously fancy pizza restaurant such as this would have the temerity not to even make their calzones fresh in-house. Really?! How lazy is that? There were only two things I liked about this place: 1.) The pizza didn't taste completely rancid. 2.) The inside of the restaurant actually looks really, really nice. Like, I wanted to sit down and eat the minute I walked in rather than getting take-away. Unfortunately, the location of the restaurant is inconveniently tucked away behind various fast food establishments, the pizza is laughably pathetic, and the calzones possibly taste worse than anything you could purchase in a grocery store. So basically, the main reason I'm giving Ardovino's 2 anemically prepared fake calzones out of 5 instead of just the 1...is because at LEAST the pizza was technically edible and the decorum is impressive. But they make Little Caesar's look like Bertucci's (place up in New England. you wouldn't know anything about that, fellow EPers). read more

This was a pretty good pizza place. There was a good amount of items on the menu along with daily happy hour deals on appetizers. They have moderate prices for their food. The building is pretty nice. Lots of seating on the inside and more seating outside. The have decorations all around. The food good. Our mini calzones (along with some marinara) and the pizza came out piping hot and tasted good. The service was good. They were prompt with getting our order and filling drinks. Employees were nice and easy to talk to. There is parking near the restaurant but mostly likely you will park across the way in the parking lot. Overall, this is a nice place to go and get pizza that is different from all of the other food chains even if the prices are a bit higher. read more

Good food, good time with family. This place is a nice nod to their other locations. The vibe is chill, open, comfortable, dim enough for a date, but relaxed enough for kids. They have music playing which is nice, and the service was great. We ordered the minestrone, Caprese salad, calzones, and pepperoni pizza. Everything was warm and tasted good. Beware, this location is behind Dairy Queen and Chipotle (current under construction). Their saucy pizza uses a thin crust, and feels like a gourmet mom/pop or DIY type of pizza, but good. It's not like the typical fast food pizza so just a heads up. The cheese was so cheesy, we enjoyed our time here for sure. read more

When I lived in the area, I would go to ardivinos quite often for a nice dine in experience and a "fancier" pizza. Now my drive is a little further so I haven't gone in a while.. I placed a togo order this weekend and asked how long before it would be ready (I didn't want it sitting getting cold). When I arrived pricing was wrong from the menu i used to place the order (recently updated with new pricing) and pizza was cold. I wouldn't have even cared about the cold pizza or changes but the quality was not what I remembered..Barley any toppings, thick pasty sauce and cardboard like crust. Like the other two Ardovino's, this one is also nicely decorated but quite a bit larger. There is also a decent size patio in the front. Our sandwiches were delicious, salads fresh and service was fine. The red door in the wall seems to be a focal point, I didn't ask but it seems to be a piece of Ardovino's history. read more

This place is absolutely amazing. 5 stars for this Italian pizza spot. I've rated around 20 places and only gave a 5 star to one other establishment. I didn't take a picture but for appetizers, we ordered the cheese bread and caprese. The bread was like a Texas toast with melted mozzarella all over. Very delicious. The caprese was a salad with tomato and mozzarella slices, yup delicious. Then we order 2 12' inch pizza. For the military it's buy one get one free every Monday. You can virtually divide your pizza in half and put whatever toppings you want. This all costs $24. Wow!! The bathrooms and facility is clean, low letting gives that romantic setting. At the bar, there 2 big tvs. The greeters and servers are all smiles and nice. Loved it all. Coming here all the time. read more

The BF and I visited this place based off of a recommendation from some of his co-workers. We have struggled to find super yummy food in ELP (I'm from LA and he has lived all over the world) as we both are foodies and sometimes food snobs. We were anxious to try this place since it seemed so popular and we were sick of the standard chain pizza. My two cents: -The service was great and we were tended to by friendly ladies at the bar -We didn't have to wait for seating on a Friday night at 7PM -Antipasti was decent (the meat and cheese portion). They served it with wheat buns and water crackers which was more TX style than Italian. The buns were tasty though! - We ordered two pizza's (Royal and Arugula and Prosciutto). We loved the Royal (peppers, feta, meat, etc.) and weren't overly impressed with the flavors on the arugula one - LOVE their drive-up window for to-go orders (used this the second time we wanted to try them). This is great for ELPs bad weather days! -Lasagna with garlic bread was hearty and yummy (ordered it to go on visit #2) -Their food is better eaten while there so that it is fresh and hot. When we ordered the second time we did to-go. By the time I got home the thin crust pizzas had cooled off too much and didn't have that same wow factor as our initial visit. -Some soda's aren't refillable which was strange. The BF ordered ginger-ale and they served it in the bottle but you had to pay per bottle.... -The parking lot is a wee bit small but is also shared with several other businesses. When entering and going around the building, SLOW DOWN!! There is a blind spot on the corner and there are too many big pickup trucks in ELP! -It is a pizza place so they get a pass but their menu needs some expansion. We had a nice lunch here and the service was wonderful. They do appear to have a great wine and beer selection. I ordered a Margherita pizza and found it just OK. The crust was not very flavorful, nor was the sauce. Their salads, however, are really large and full of goodness. Hubs and I shared the Garden Green Salad and it was plenty for both of us- no skimping on the artichokes or tomatoes. John's grandmother had the small Cran Apple Bleu salad and it was a good portion and looked very yummy as well. We're not familiar with the pizza offerings of El Paso- but I hope there are better options out there! read more

Found a hair baked in my pizza we bought from Ardovino's pizza Called them and the manager said thier kitchen is rated the cleanest in El Paso!!??!! Update : We ordered 2 pizzas and found a hair baked in 1 of them. I found it's unhygienic and don't trust their cleanliness in the kitchen so I wanted to return all of them and get my money back. They said they can only refund us the 1 with the hair but not the other one. They said that their kitchen is very clean but this happens every 6-8 months! I worked in a food/service industry for over 8 years, and I think this is unacceptable. I don't think I'll return to Ardovino's pizza anymore. read more

We were greeted and seated very quick and after 20min outside, we decided to move inside where there's a warm atmosphere and dim light. We had mini calzones as starters and you can mix'n match them so we ordered two pepperoni cheese and two green chile cheese calzones. They come with a marinara sauce. We shared the Rucola parmigiana pizza and I like that it's almost like real Italian pizza from Europe. Not deep dish or too cheesy but a good and generous amount of ingredients on top. The leaves were fresh and crisp which is always important when you order Rucola. Nothing worse than old greens lol All in all I can see us coming back there as the waitresses were all friendly and service was quick, too. Had dinner last night with an old friend and really enjoyed my time spent at this location. We were sat quickly for it being 7pm on Friday night which was awesome. Our server, Frank, was fast, friendly, and very attentive. The pepperoni pizza was amazing, not too much sauce which is how I like it. The beer selection was pretty large and Frank was more than happy to answer questions. The dessert was even better. I will be coming back soon for the four season's pizza, a personal favorite. Dropped in with my out of town relative. Sooo glad we did. The service was truly awesome. Helped with the beer selection, which is pretty great and extensive. The pizza was soooo delicious it even impressed my relative from abroad. The salad was fresh and yummy. We shared a Four Seasons pizza and our favorite was the pesto and sundried tomato. The food is good but be warned that the portion sizes are quite small here. I ordered a medium pizza and I thought it was a small (probably my fault for not reading the fine print on the menu). Whatever. Food was good anyways. Biggest complaint I had was I had no idea who my server was until later on and didn't even bother to follow up on the food afterwards. Passed by the table four times without a refill and even my friend had to give me theirs. Even if I didn't need it, it would still be a nice gesture to offer. We come here all the time. Happy hour is great, we love it. They serve some really cool and hard to find IPOs and craft beers we love and we're always sorry if they run out (order more Brother Thelonious beer, guys!) Mini calzones and the personal pizzas are fresh and tasty, and happy hour prices are the best. Their wine selection is good and some half-off happy hour glasses are excellent. Love their fresh salads and the large is big enough to split. The atmosphere and sweet staff always make this a welcome place to dine and we already look forward to eating here. read more
