An ABQ/Las Cruces staple and as of now they have a location in the Cimarron area. Dion's is a fast casual spot where you can grab a pie, garlic bread, salads, meat balls, or anything off their menu. Everything is made to order and it was pretty great. What stood out to me is how you can order by the slice. My fiance and I got the meats pizza and the pie was so big that we had enough for leftovers. The crust was super fluffy and had the right amount of crisp. I saw a few folks grabbing their desserts so I'll have to take a look next time. read more

I used the online ordering to pick up pizzas at a specific time.... when I showed up at that specific time to get the pizzas, they hadn't even started them yet. Why, please tell me, would you have an online portal to order and not have the pies ready? We dropped before the Sunday dinner crowd and it was fairly busy. That said we were able to order our pizza and drinks at the counter. On our second visit we walked down from our house. So, Dion's on Paso del Norte and Resler is super convenient for us and well becoming a staple when we're in a pizza eatin mood. The folks are nice. We order, get our drinks at the counter and find a seat until our food is ready. It's cool that they sell pizza by the slice, and their very generous with their slice and toppings. I asked for a slice of their gourmet pizza, and they made something very close to the Kansas City I wanted to try. The max toppings on a slice of pizza is four toppings, and they managed to create an almost KC for me. Dion's has roving servers once you get your food to help with refills and clean up your table. All friendly folks. The pizza is pretty good, the service is great, and it's super convenient for us. We will return. read more

While visiting family in El Paso we ordered dinner from Dion's one night. We were pretty close so we called in our order and were given a 40 minute wait time to pick up. At first thought 40 minutes is excessive, however once we got there we saw how busy it was. We went through the drive thru and picked up our order to take home. The drive thru attendant was friendly. Once home I understood why this place was so packed! The pizza was AMAZING! To start, the crust was perfectly cooked. And the pizza sauce really makes the pizza what it is! We did get a Greek Salad that I forgot to take a picture of. The dressing is different but outstanding. If you're in the area I highly recommend checking this place out even if there's a wait. I was excited about coming here, and trying a new place. The food was ok, not the greatest I've ever tried. It's more like a fast food restaurant than anything else. The Greek salad was rather bland, and had a lot of lettuce in it. The sandwich my partner had looked good and he seemed to enjoy it. No refills on your drink that I am aware of, so drink slowly if you have a meal to go through. Staff was pleasant enough, but they are all behind the counter, so if you need anything, you have to go talk to one of them. It's a decent sized place, good for groups. Dion's is certainly welcome in El Paso, and we have enjoyed every visit since their opening. Clean and comfortable dining areas, very good salads, pizza and subs. Their bread is excellent and reminds me of places that actually have good breads. Being from New York, I had to try this place out. A good time to come on a Sunday is before noon - the Church crowd has not yet gotten out. Being a chain, I did not have high hope, but I am so glad I stopped in. It is NOT table service, but similar to La Madeline, Corner Bakery or Panera's, where you go to the counter, order and pay. They will announce your name when your order is ready. There is grayed Parmesan and hot pepper flakes in shakers on the table but I am glad I tasted the pie before adding anything- the toppings used are delicious and I felt it did not need anything additional! I ordered a small with pepperoni and ground beef. The cheese, sauce and seasonings were great. I ordered the pie with the "original" crust- soft like a NY style, but not quite the same, so overall I gave four stars for the flavor, taste and value; the small is a full 10"" pie which was way larger than I expected. As a native Albuquerquean now living in El Paso, I was beyond thrilled to see one of my hometown favorites make their way here. I will no longer need to drive all the way to Las Cruces to get my Dion's fix. You cannot go wrong with whatever you decide to order; it's all good. The pizza can be sold by the slice which is awesome for lunchtime and I don't know of anywhere else you can get piñon (pine nuts) as a pizza topping. The salads and subs are delicious and my family always likes to keep a bottle of their famous ranch in our fridge at home. They even offer green chile ranch for those who like it spicy. Pro tip: Order ahead by calling or online and pick up in their drive through. If you choose to go inside, they have a neat observation area where people can watch their pizza being made, which is always a hit with the kiddos. read more

I love Dions. I usually go to the Las Cruces (lohman) location. Never a problem. THIS location was not busy, and the food was not hot. I ordered a meatball sandwich & it was cool. Took it back & the manager got snotty with me. She remade my sandwich & brought it out & slammed it down in front of my friend. She then hauled ass away. I called corporate. There is no need for a manager to be this snotty. Funny how the parking lot was not full at lunch time. read more

Showed up on a Friday, the week after they opened. It was really packed but the line moved fast. We intended to eat-in but there were no open tables. The location is a little small. I quickly made it through the line to order and the staff was very friendly. I ordered our pizza to go but eventually a table opened up, so I headed back and ordered drinks and a Tossed Salad. Salad was first to arrive. I have to admit I was expecting a little bit more flavor from the Ranch and it was kinda thin. It could have been creamier. When the pizza arrived it was very hot. Perfect for me cause I love a pizza that can burn the roof of your mouth. As for the flavor, again I felt like it kinda fell a little short. I wanted to love the place but I just wasn't blown away. This was my second visit to a Dion's. My first visit was the University location in Albuquerque, and I kinda felt the same both times. Don't get me wrong it's not bad it just kinda meh. I'd probably go back eventually but I don't think I'd go out of my way to do so. Overall, prices and servings were good. Staff was bery helpful. My advice, go see what its like for yourself. First off, LOVE Dion's! Best pizza I've had in El Paso (since moving from NY). The management team (Celina, Ceasar, Isai) are awesome! Always friendly and attentive. The staff (Danet, James, & Robert) all have made my pizza the way I want it (I get double extra cheese!) And each of these staff & management have made my pizza to perfection! To the point she even said " you know provolone is a cheese right ?" when my husband was trying to describe his sandwich . The pepperoni pizza is so cheesy and deliciously greasy in a good way. The salads are packed to the brim with the toppings, and I agree with the other review that the ranch could be a bit creamier but it is still pretty good regardless. It does get pretty packed, so choose what time you plan to eat wisely. Service is usually great, we have yet to have any issues on any of our visits. read more

Food is great. No complaints on that. My problem was service. Placed an order online, went to pick up at the pick up window, was asked to pull forward because the pizza wasn't done yet. Fine, not a problem. Waited 30 minutes then finally went inside and was told it took longer. That was a lie. The pizza was cold. It had probably been sitting there 15 to 20 minutes. If you're gonna tell me the pizza took longer, then it damn sure better be steaming hot. Don't tell people to wait and forget about them then tell them a lie. read more

Dion's is consistent. This new location will compete with other pizzerias in the area. All are pretty much the same in my opinion. No one in this area can make a true NY pizza because of the water and the altitude, no one gets it right. It is what it is. The lemonade is delicious. Will try a sandwich next time. There is a lot of competition when it comes to pizza. Dion's is not like other pizza joints I've tried in El Paso. Their sandwiches and pizza are unique and so good! And you can't beat their Greek and ranch dressing! read more

Dion's is the best pizza ever. Hands down. The cheese bread is the best bread/ "appetizer" you could ever ask for. Perfect cheese to bread ratio, and the flavors are so good. The salads are fantastic with very good dressing. The sandwich is really good and is stuffed full of ingredients. And the pizza has amazing cheese that has an amazing pull, and the dough and toppings are all so fresh and amazing. The ambiance is phenomenal as well. The seats it has an area for your kids to watch the pizzas be made. It is a super family friendly environment, but also great for dates, etc. The service is great, always get kind and amazing workers who work fast at every Dion's location. And the prices are very good as well. Would recommend to anyone and everyone. Definitely choosing for a last meal!!! read more

Awesome pizza with some of the best tasting sausage. The surprising winner here is their salads with some of the tastiest honey mustard around. Dions also boasts some of the best customer service, employing wonderful young men and women from the community. Great new facility makes it a must try on the west side. read more
