I have never written a review for a disposal service, but really felt the need to about Area Disposal Service. I am a Facility Manager for a school with three locations, and I have used them for the last 3 years when we need a large 40 yrd. dumpster for our annual massive landscape trimming. The ladies at Area Disposal are knowledgably, friendly, and helpful. A real breathe of fresh air when it seems like customer service is dead and gone... Not here! I received their number from my carpet guy that said they're great, and to give them a try. Dumpsters are delivered and picked up promptly, and the one time there was a miscommunication, they corrected it right away, and didn't miss a beat. On top of that they are very reasonable, and explain the costs really well, so there are no surprises I usually work with Alicia, and Penny and both are a treat to work with. BEWARE OF AREA DISPOSAL!!! I live with a woman who was a loyal Area Disposal customer for roughly 20 years until their new drivers disrespected gravel roads in Cave Creek causing an unsafe environment for cyclists, horseback riders, dogs and wildlife leading to her home. Area Disposal stated their trucks are equipped with GPS that track speeds and location for safety purposes and their data shows the trucks were operating within the designated speed limits. Yet, DuckDuckGo's AI Search Assist, (using references of innovent.io and robota.us) identified "GPS accuracy can be affected by poor satellite geometry, atmospheric conditions, and the quality of the GPS receiver. These factors can introduce errors in signal reception and positioning calculations, leading to less precise data." In addition, DuckDuckGo's AI Search Assist, (using references of McAfee and flyapg.com) identified "GPS data can be manipulated through a technique known as GPS spoofing, where false GPS signals are transmitted." Also, the trucks were witnessed by me first hand and most of the neighbors have CCTV cameras that capture and record activity in the area. But Area Disposal insisted CCTV footage does not measure vehicle speed. Everyone was happy when Donna S. made a commitment to "remind the drivers to use added caution and reduce speed on gravel roads whenever possible." I responded, "We look forward to Donna S. continuing her commitment to remind the drivers to use added caution and reduce speed on gravel roads." However, the next day, Donna S. informed me and the woman I live with, "As we are unable to meet your expectations, we will be discontinuing service to your location." I am happy to say the woman I live with has a new service that respects the gravel roads and the public should be aware that the upcoming bill from the new service is 35% less than Area Disposal. UPDATE: I recently received a letter from Area Disposal's attorney demanding that I immediately cease and desist from "making any further slanderous or liable statements, whether online or otherwise." Also, in the last paragraph, the attorney stated, "Please ensure that all defamatory content is removed within ten (10) days of your receipt of this letter". #1. I do not wish to post any slanderous, liable or defamatory content. #2. Everything in this post represents the facts as I saw them. #3. I was satisfied with the trash removal service until today. They always come right around 6:00 AM. I live on a new cul-de-sac in a new subdivision. The regular drivers find our place weekly. The first week we were here the driver missed us, as he thought our can would be with others on the road behind our house, but he came back later in the week and made it right. This morning when I heard the truck driving around the neighborhood I opened the curtain to watch. He did NOT come into the cul-de-sac - he passed by and went down the street behind our house, backed out and left. When my husband called for them to return the driver - who turned out to be the manager filling in for someone else - swore he had come down our street and the can was not out. When my husband assured the driver that he indeed did not come onto our street he lied and insisted he had. They had a verbal altercation and the driver/manager told my husband to find another trash company. I called the office to stop the service and get a refund on the remainder of the month and the office woman very emphatically defended the driver, who by then was in the office yammering in her ear and continuing with the lie that he had come down our street. VERY POOR SERVICE! I would not give any stars to this review if yelp allowed a review without any stars. read more

Area Disposal lived up to their reputation of stellar customer service, friendly & informative staff and pricing. They had a dumpster delivered by the next morning and kept things moving so we were able to move in on time. This company is terrible. I ordered 5 dumpsters and they said each one was way over the limit which was impossible. Charged me regular fee each time with a second charge for overage without telling me. Also they refused to pick one up saying it was too high. Charged me $125 trip charge. Wouldn't wait 2 minutes. It was well below the amount what was allowed the 4 previous pick ups. Terrible customer service. read more

This place is crazy. My trash hadn't been picked up in 2 weeks, I asked for help or a suggestion as to what to do, they hung up on me. I called back asking for a manager and Chris said he was the owner. He stated he is firing me as a customer and that I am "mental". Highly discriminating and very inappropriate behavior. read more

I flip houses so i use a lot of dumpsters. I had written an angry review previously so wanted to take the time to update it. I spoke with one of the owners and she worked everything out. We are now on same page and the reality is that no one can compete with the terms and prices of area disposal. They aren't perfect as no one is but I was happy that they worked it out with me and I will continue to use them as first option for dumpster services. read more

IF YOU ARE A BUILDER... DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! I have been building and remodeling homes for 25 years. I have ordered and filled up at least 30+ 40 yard roll off containers while gutting homes. I have never had one go over weight. I ordered a 40 yard container from Area Disposal. They dropped it on a hill on the property that leaned the container to one side. A total of (5) small to medium size palo verde trees were cut up and put in the dumpster including the stumps. There was very little dirt mixed in with the debris (maybe 10 inches over 1/3rd of the surface area). They came out to pick up the container and the guy said it was tipping the truck to one side (the down hill side). He said I needed to have more of the debris moved in the container to the uphill side. So I had to pay my backhoe guy to come out and try and move the debris. Area came out two more times and said they couldn't pick it up. Then they tried to bill me $500 for the "pick up attempts" and the time their driver sat on my property with no cell phone service trying to call the office. I had my backhoe guy come back out one more time and we opened the back door and removed 20% of the debris and dirt which left the dumpster approx 60% full . Area came out and picked it up. They said it weighed 14.5 tons or 28,000 lbs. That was 9.5 tons over the five ton limit. BS!!! These weigh 28,000 LBS: 1) 7 full size male elephants 2) A crew cab Dodge Duelly truck WITH a 32 foot horse trailer fully loaded (together) 3) A 30 foot dump truck loaded full with dirt has a 30,000 lb payload There is no way in hell the truck could pick up the dumpster as easy as it did with that kind of weight. I have it on video and have pics of what was left inside the dumpster. I am currently meeting with the dump to verify the fee and have reported the company to the Arizona Attorney General and BBB. The office girl Annette was a complete ass and yelled at me, then hung up the phone when I explained to her what kind of weight that would be (reference above and draw your own conclusion).
