We enjoyed this, the cave with the fishtank. The lighthouse and most of all the overlook of the waves. Nice walk, and great views of the waves hitting the rocks below the lighthouse. The person at the front of the gate had great info. read more

This park is right across from a beach, love the view from up-top the lighthouse. They have pirates roaming around at times to entertain children. Great history lesson of Puerto Rican's. Loved it! My son especially enjoyed going on the pirate ships and splash park near the entrance. They also have a playground for children, a mini zoo featuring about 3-4 animals. The pirate cave was awesome. They also have a little dining area with food and drinks for purchase, prices are decent as well. The entrance fee at the time we went was $12 adults, $10 for kids 3+, free for 2 and under. Great place to learn more about Puerto Rican culture, pirate adventure, great views, splash park and regular playground for kids! Would definitely come back here. If it were possible to leave 0 stars, I would. This was the biggest waste of money EVER. Our family can get excited about pretty much anything, but all we can do is talk about how terrible it was. We spent 45 minutes and saw everything. The whole place was falling apart, aquarium tanks were so dirty we could barely see in, hydroponic tanks were empty, the donkey had such a terrible eye infection that his eye was weeping & covered in flies, and the bathroom didn't even have hand soap. This is the worst $12 a person I've spent in a long time. "Historical" includes giant playground/style pirate ships, most of which are closed to play. The lighthouse museum is one room with no historical information. The lighthouse also appears to have been replastered just to appear old. Total waste of time and money. read more

I wanted to really like this place given the lighthouse. It has potential but right now it needs some major love. The splash space is way too small. It's a splash pad and a small pool 3". Super crowded given how small they are. The animals including those in the small aquarium are not being well cared for. I felt sad seeing the animals in dirty water and the donkey with a bad infection. The light house is beautiful but not open so you can only walk around it. And the historical pavilions need some serious work. Would come here again. read more

I was hesitant about visiting this place because it looked more suitable for children and families. The fee was $12 which I thought was a bit steep for this out of the way attraction. However, I went in and actually enjoyed myself, especially since it wasn't crowded at all. A lot of the activities are geared toward the children. They have a small area with a few live animals that looked so sad :-(. I enjoyed the small and educational exhibits on African-Americans and Indian village. They had an area like a dark cave with exhibits that lead to the aquarium. It was so dark and scary inside I had to leave, lol. The grounds were very clean and it felt very calm and peaceful as I walked around. The reason for the high stars is primarily the views right before you get to the corny, ooops I meant historical lighthouse. Those views of the ocean, water splashing against the rocks were unreal. I hung out in the balcony like area for about 30 minutes just taking it all in, taking pics and enjoying Gods work. It was amazing and there was a nice breeze to offset the heat. My last stop was the lighthouse that you have to walk up to and it was really impressive. Not too much to see except more beautiful views. Overall I'm happy I decided to check this place out since I was in the area. read more

With parking and admission for two adults it came out to $28. Most of the attractions are for children so the most appealing part for us was the actual lighthouse and views from the top of the hill. Included with the fee are access to the aquarium, a public swimming pool, a small zoo with just regular malnourished domesticated animals, and of course the lighthouse. Unless you're planning to use the pool, which is not very big, the rest of the attractions are outdated and not well taken care of. In my opinion, it wasn't worth $14/person to get in. However, we did want to look at the lighthouse which is considered a historical site and the only way to see it is by paying admission. read more

The lighthouse and grounds are gorgeous. The aquarium is very cool and fun. The rest is... earnest. It's definitely worth seeing, but go for fun, not education or high entertainment. A lot of it is rather campy. As long as you go with those expectations, you'll have a nice time. read more

I can't confirm wether they take cash and credit but I paid for cash. Not sure why I paid for parking because they didn't game any type of receipt for the car. My son had a great time and most of the attractions are in good shape. The slides were a little dirty, but they were just doing landscaping at the time. And there was a donkey that was hungry there too. read more

You can't go visit. It's locked from the public. All lighthouses here are. Except for the one that's abandoned and has lots of graffiti-which I'm not complaining, I thought that one was cool. read more

People visiting here needs to come with children under 10. Other than that, it's really not worth it. The price is steep for $12pp and $3 parking, as there's not a whole lot to look at. There's a splash zone for small children and a questionable 'zoo.' We saw two mules eating it's barricade... probably trying to free themselves from this desolate area. However, you can't beat the view at the lighthouse. It serene and peaceful, with such a cooling breeze. We didn't eat there either, but I would advise not to go there hungry. read more

Unfortunately due to Hurricane Maria and Irma it's closed. The website says they're open but once you get there it's closed, the cleaning crew were unsure when the clean up would be done to reopen the park. They said there was a lot of damage. read more

This place is cool. First time here. Love the info about the tainos Indians. And the replicas of the pints Nina and the Santa Maria. The little zoo was cool. My favorite part was the lighthouse. I know most reviews state how this place is too expensive for what it is, but i cannot confirm or deny that. My entrance (back in 2004) was paid for by my now ex boyfriend. I don't know if it was because it was our first date but this place actually holds a special place in my heart. I remember having fun exploring, going to the aquarium, indian village, pirate ships, mini zoo, and going to the lighthouse. Overall, we didn't go in with high expectations....we just wanted to have fun together and make the best out of everything. And it ended up being a great road trip and a good experience. Guess back then it was pretty good, and now it seems the price has gone up and is not worth the price. read more

Don't waste your money! $12 is way too overpriced for a tour of this lighthouse! There is a short recoded narration (less than 2 minutes) which repeats. Additionally, you cannot climb to the top of the tower. There is a petting zoo with animals kept in deplorable conditions; neglected - ponies had not been groomed at all, and one ram that was so lame he could only hobble to the front of the pen. I don't know how they are allowed to keep animals in these conditions. We complained to the management about the animals' poor condition. It's over priced for what you get, the lighthouse had two areas you can look inside and besides that it's closed, the rest is decent, mostly for kids, the mini zoo has 3 animals, in very sad condition, it should really be shut down. The aquarium and guarida de piratas is nice, but small. The views from the top are nice, I would not waste the money or time to go again, not sure I would recommend it to anyone. The ticket is $12 and parking $3 plus tax. They do take credit cards, some areas are still closed due to the hurricane. My review was gonna be a little more positive, but their employees are rude. When I came out, sat in my car about to post some pictures on Instagram and recommend the place, but one of the workers, a heavy set woman came out to yell at me for parking where I was, there, there was no sign which said no parking, mind you, her car was next to mine and apparently she didn't want anyone parking next to her. She was very rude and I highly doubt she owns the place. I really think they should be more polite to tourist, we help the economy. My husband and I paid $28 to see a lighthouse. This place is more of a kid/family attraction, not adult. The park is more of a children's playground with a lighthouse. My concern about this place was the children' s aquarium. It is really dark which makes it unsafe for a child to trip and fall against or on its rock wall. read more
