This is the second time we've been here and it didn't disappoint. At first when you walk in, it's…read moreintimidating bc the whole restaurant totally looks at you like ??? But we came with a Spanish friend who helped us order. The horchata was sweet, cold and refreshing. The birria quesa tacos were crispy and cheesy. The fried tamales really needed just to be steamed, they were too dry and crumbly. But overall this was really authentic and was better than the Texas de Brazil we had the night before and much cheaper!

Walking inside, it might still be possible not to notice the small room with dining tables that serve as the restaurant part. I walked in and grabbed a seat at a table as instructed. A server grabbed my drink order and brought chips and salsa to my table and took my order. I went with two tacos and a gordita. As I waited (and sadly, the wait was longer than it should have been), I enjoyed my chips and salsa. When I say that I waited, that was being generous. This wait was too long. Probably over a half hour for my tacos and gordita to arrive. When my food (finally) did arrive, I found it pretty good. I hope that my experience with the lengthy time waiting for my food was an anomaly rather than the norm. I will return here to give it another try.

Prices reasonable and tastes authentic. Ask for creamy salad dressing on the side if you wish, and take the garnished grilled onions and included BIG hot pepper. It's worth the effort--even if they don't speak the best English, they work hard and do well. As a fellow immigrant, that's the kind of people I respect in America.

The lunch buffet is sold by the pound so you have to watch your heavy hands... Well worth the price of $12.26 for a plate of food that sticks to your bones. Taste just like Miami Cuban food! ORIGINAL REVIEW I stopped by and had a Cuban Papa Rellena (look it up), it was delicious but a little on the high side in pricing. Chef was a Cuban Lady and she made me feel right at home. Need to go back and eat some real food and not just an appetizer. Has the potential to be very good if it doesn't break your wallet!

First of all, if you are in a hurry, ordering inside at Del Taco is probably not your best idea. I…read morestood in line for over 20 minutes just to order. One register open. 1/2 person working the one register. In their defense, two sports teams came in within 10 minutes of each other and I only saw 3 people working. Another 10 minutes and we got our food. Two bean burritos, a chicken taco and two seasoned beef tacos. Way too much food for 3 people. 3 hungry people. All for $15. Del Taco isn't fine dining. It's not even exactly high quality Tex-Mex. But what Del Taco offers is an inexpensive way to feed a bunch of hungry bellies. If you go in with this is mind, you won't be disappointed.

I got the grilled chicken with no rice and he got the beef and beans with no rice to go. It didn't take long for the to go burritos to be prepared. The cashier told us about the 2 burritos for $7 special. She was very nice and helpful. The grilled chicken burrito was delicious and steps above TB in my opinion. I was impressed with the taste and texture of chicken. 5/5 The beef and beans burrito was full of flavor and steps above TB for the sane burrito. No complaints at all. 5/5 The burritos today were great. Both of us enjoyed our burritos. It's good y'all so please give them a try.

It comes with three and a side of rice. Also got one green tamale. It was filled with chicken. I guess the red might be with pork. I'm not sure. The lady taking our order couldn't clarify the difference for us. We also got an order of chips and salsa. All of it was very good! The chicken was a bit dry, but the mole sauce was great. And we loved the homemade green and red hot sauces they provided in squirt bottles. The chips and salsa also tasted very fresh, but the amount of salsa was soooo small. It was comical. Would've loved more, especially for the upcharge of $2.99. We would definitely come back and try other options. They have a lot of items including various drinks (including cocktails and beers) and desserts. It felt very clean. Service was quick and friendly. Parking is tight. All in all, a nice meal!

The owner at the front of the restaurant is polite and very helpful with menu selections. Food/Drink: I ordered a Jamaica (Hibiscus). It wasn't too sweet, and had the right amount of tartness. Compared to Tex Mex and Mexican restaurants in town, they provide a meager amount of chips, but they are freshly made with some homemade salsa. I didn't really have to worry about snacking on the chips because my food came out fairly quickly. I ordered some Mole Enchiladas and received some large portions. The chicken enchiladas were a little juicy, and the mole really enhanced the flavor. I loved the smokiness of the ancho falling through + the chocolate flavor. The cotija cheese and crema drizzled on top of the mole was good too. It had a tinge of sweetness, and paired well with the Jamaica. I recommend you try this place out!
