Let me start by saying you must try pollo cachapa. Its a lot of food and great taste. Sweet corn like an arepa with cheese and chicken served like a. Sandwich but not really able to pickup. Place serves beers and unique juices and tequenos which are cheese wrapped in bread like a snack And served with dipping sauces. Just really nice place and very clean. Wonder menu! Everything was great. Our server was amazing - not sure what her name was but she was thin & had straight light brown hair. My father & I yelped this place while we were in the area. I live in Texas, but come visit my family often. We had the empanaditas mixtas - chicken & shredded meat. Very tasty. They had sugar in the dough... the way it should always be done. Then we had a cachapa pelua con queso de mano. It was huge. We split it & still has some left over. We finished off with a marroncito. This was a great quick meal. If you're in the mood for arepas this is definitely the spot! Everything tastes delicious The small arepitas we're so fluffy and scrumptious, the perfect appetizer. We also tried the "pabellón" arepa (not pictured) the pieces of maduros inside was the perfect touch of sweetness. This was my first time trying a cachapa and I didn't know the crust would be mushy, I wasn't too much of a fan. Found this place in IG, I love arepas and decided to try. They didn't have reina pepiada which is the one with chicken and avocado, so I went with the chicken and cheese ( it was very salty) My friend ordered the cachapa with chicken, and it was absolutely delicious! I just married a Venezuelan, so I'm starting to fancy myself a Venezuelan food connoisseur ;-). Arepa.bar was fantastic, but I had a couple gripes: 1. They don't have as many veggie options as I'd have liked. They definitely cater to the meat-lovers among us, even offering a "Big Board for 2" with every kind of meat you could imagine! 2. They were somewhat expensive - about $10 per arepa, on average! All that being said, my capresa arepa was wonderful. The mano cheese was some of the best I've ever had! The arepa itself was super moist and fresh. My husband also loved his Meat Lovers Arepa, and our friend loved his Pelua Cachapa. I wish I could have tried them- major FOMO! The vibe in this place was also super cute. Very colorful, with a graffiti theme. I would definitely go back next time I'm in Miami! read more

Hands down my favorite arepa restaurant in MIA. The meat lovers arepa is absolutely delicious. Truffle fries always hit the spot. And their garlic cilantro aioli! Oh my. Without yet tasting the food (I'm about to upon writing this review) I'm giving this restaurant a low rating on account of what just happened when I picked up my food. I ordered food from them through Toast which gave me the option of a curbside pick-up. Once I got to the restaurant I called them and let them know I was outside, to which they responded "ok". We hung up and I thought someone was coming out to bring me my order but then I get a call about 3 minutes later with a lady asking me if I was going to come inside to pick up my order (What?!). I told the lady that i was given the option for curbside pick up and she responded that she couldn't go outside because "it is raining" lol. First of all, it was a lie because it wasn't raining at all, second of all, even if it was hurricane force rain outside, why is that my problem? This place doesn't understand the meaning of customer service so I doubt I'll be going back here. Stopped by on a Tuesday night with my bicycle group. The arepas were good - so my only complaint is that the churrasco is definitely not Skirt steak...it's some other type of beef (maybe top round?). It wasn't bad but it wasn't what I was expecting. Now let's talk about what was great...the arepa shell itself was amazing! The churros were the best in town & the tiny skinny french fries were oh so good! They serve Heinz ketchup which I'm a super fan of. All-in-all this place is fresh. I was looking for a place to catch up with an old friend and I was sold when I found out that they have happy hour Mon through Thursday $4 a drink. I ordered myself a sangria, which was good not great, an order of tequeños (free with a yelp "check in"), and an arepa pabellón, which was bomb! The arepa was STUFFED w shredded beef (similar to pulled pork), beans, plantains, and shredded cheese on top. Their pesto white sauce they have on the side is pretty good with it too! my only remark, is that I would've liked the arepa to be a little more dense and thick, but that's just my personal preference. I have been wanting to give this place a try and finally did. When you walk in you don't need to wait to be seated, just pick a spot and luckily it wasn't packed so it was easy to find a seat. We ordered tequeños to start and then I had the meat lovers arepa and my gf order the cachapa burger. This place has not changed as far as the way it looks on the inside, maybe just the chairs and tables they have now, which weren't there prior to 2022, I think it looks less lounge like and chill then it used to before they put these ugly boring tables and chairs , but my biggest concern and frustration doesn't come from the aesthetics, it comes from I can't even fathom how much of a digression this spot has taken. From the staff , to the prices of the food, even as far as the quality of the food that's being served. Perfect example, how can you charge a can of soda at $3.50+tax, and any where else you go to buy it, is at most $1.00. For 5 tequeños it's $8.99 and they are smaller than my finger, when these things usually are like 5 for $2 . I feel like the prices here have truly taken a steep incline, yet the service and quality just doesn't even match that of their prices, and although I do understand that's my own personal biased opinion, I know I share this same opinion with a lot others, and that it's entirely up to me to choose to not buy from them anymore if I feel like the prices are high, so rest assured with the way things look now, I've decided to not return for the time being and see what changes, if any, May come in the future, but the point of writing a review is to express your feelings and experience of said business, and that's what I'm rightfully doing. Moving forward, Aside from the prices, like I mentioned before, the staff that's been hired as well seem to be very unprofessional and inconsistent as far as treatment, attitude, helpfulness and consideration goes. My most recent visit, I really wish I could truly portray and express the dryness and rudeness that this employee was emitting, it was truly something to make any person lose their appetite. Not just that but the food seemed to either be running low or the cook didn't feel like making the dish asked for the way it's usually served, aside from that, the silverware and plates i had been given seemed stained and dirty still , not properly cleaned or sanitized. I wasn't asked if I wanted anything to drink even offered a cup of water after asking for my order and having it brought to me, it's the little things like that, that really make and do the difference for the customer. It's sad to have to put this up and let others know about how unpleasing of an experience it has been for me. Even more so since I've been a frequent and loyal customer for well over the last 4 years and I can honestly say within the first 2 years of finding this place, I would come 2-3 a week to eat here, and I would also tell and bring a lot more ppl with me each time, I'm well involved and knowing in the motorcycle community so there's no limit to the amount of ppl I know and have brought and could continue to bring for business but it's no longer in desire to do such things when I've been let down and disappointed with the way things have turned out for this place. I can only hope that maybe the owner or operations manager that oversees this and the staff working there will take it upon himself to not allow this to continue without making some adjustments and changes. read more

Yesterday, I was surprised by a great arepas restaurant in the Wynwood area. When I was told, we were going to eat arepas, I had a preconceived opinion of some small little place but I was so surprised by how cute and trendy it was. Better yet, our arepas were great! I chose the "meat lovers" and it was filled with pieces of "mouth watering" churrasco, queso blanco, and avocado. Each of my colleagues chose a great arepa and they truly enjoyed theirs. Late night eatery! Arepa bar as the name says it all, is the best in Wyndwood for Venezuelan food. To mention the obvious is the amazing arepas with various options of meat or without. You won't be disappointed with any of the late night menu options. You can also go for the burgers and waffle fries are also a delight here. Plus you won't break bank as most items on the menu or less than $10 for single items. The staff here are also great and attentive not only to take the order but also come around often to see how you doing. Aside from the food you can also lounge around in their comfortable sofas and they also have televisions, very cozy and clean environment with the Wyndwood artsy feel. We order a regular cachapa, cachapa with pernil and Meat Lover Arepa. The Meat Lover Arepa it's a must. They have a pesto sauce that's delicious. The only thing I can complain about it's that the cachapa was a little cold. I understand this might be because they wanted to give us everything together, that's why it stays 5-stars for me. I decided to place an order for pick up and see how the empanadas are in a Saturday morning :) They have bite size empanadas on the menu, which are a great option for those who want to try every flavor (chicken, steak, cheese or ground beef) at the same time or to share as an appetizer. I decided to order 3 combos of each type. They were very fast and the empanadas came with tartare sauce that always take Venezuelan empanadas to the next level! We found this place on yelp and went on a whim. The place was empty but it had a steady stream of Uber and postmates orders coming in. With good reason, the food was AMAZING. The menu was easy to read and we picked out three arepas (queso de mano, meat lovers and party girl) and ordered some tequeños. The tequeños were so good! Cheesy and crispy and the sauces put out were a good addition to it. The party girl arepa was a cheesy, savory delicious party and I would order it time and time again.
