    Holiday plate
    Miss E.

Tajadas by The Arepa Guru were delicious, and the La Nuestra salad was just as good--fresh, flavorful, and definitely worth ordering. We also ordered the beef soup, which could have used a bit more flavor, and the Holiday plate, which was okay but not something that stood out. The double cheeseburger and an arepa were also just okay and probably not dishes we'd order again. Unfortunately, we also ordered the pepito mixto, but it never arrived because our waiter forgot to place the order. Service overall was a bit slow, and the atmosphere felt a little quiet--some music would really help improve the ambience. That said, the salad, plantains and juices alone would bring us back. We'd definitely return for those.

Have you heard the buzz? Another Doggis has opened its doors in Miami, and if you live in this sunny city and haven't heard about it yet, I'm honestly wondering where you've been hiding! But hey, we might forgive you... unless you're Venezuelan, if that's the case, there are absolutely no excuses! Get out of your house now and make your way to this mouthwatering, utterly delightful Venezuelan restaurant that's just opened a brand-new location in the heart of Wynwood. We were lucky enough to be among the first 100 people to attend the grand opening and let me tell you, my crew and I were treated to a complimentary arepa each. I couldn't resist ordering the Santa Barbara arepa, which was an absolute game-changer. Picture this: tender, juicy churrasco that practically melted in my mouth, perfectly complemented by creamy avocado, fresh tomato, and a generous sprinkle of white cheese. The balance of flavors was just right, each bite was a perfect symphony of savory, creamy, and refreshing goodness. After a long, fast-paced, and stressful day, these were the kind of flavors that felt like a warm hug for my soul. Simply yum! But don't stop there! If you're planning a visit (and trust me, you should), make sure to try the other incredible options on the menu. The arepa de pabellón, stuffed with shredded beef, black beans, sweet plantains, and a generous helping of cheese is like a flavor-packed fiesta in every bite. Then there's the reina pepeada, a smooth, creamy chicken salad mixed with avocado and mayo, absolutely divine. Don't forget the catira (chicken and yellow cheese) and pelua (shredded beef with melted yellow cheese), two of the most comforting, satisfying combinations you'll ever taste in an arepa. And if you're not feeling like an arepa, you can't go wrong with their crispy, golden tequeños, stuffed with warm, melty cheese. Or one of their irresistible lunch specials, which I'm sure will leave your taste buds dancing with joy. Honestly, no matter what you order, you won't be disappointed. So thank you, Doggis, for creating such a magical dining experience. Miami, if you haven't been yet, what are you waiting for? Go ahead and treat yourself to the best Venezuelan flavors in town. You deserve it!

My experience at the restaurant was good. It's a newly opened, large, stylishly designed and very clean Venezuelan spot with a nice selection of traditional Venezuelan dishes on the menu. The main focus of this restaurant is arepas; and they have a good variety of them to choose from. I personally picked a beef arepa, and along with that I decided to try their yuca fries. Honestly, the food was just good. It was tasty, but not extremely delicious. Specifically, the yuca fries seemed a little dry, and I didn't love the beef in my arepa - it was a bit chewy. I've definitely had better arepas and better yuca fries at other places around Miami. Also, the menu prices are on the higher side. If you plan to order one main dish and a drink, be ready for a bill of at least $20. My total bill for three items (two food items and a drink) was almost $30, which is kind of crazy if you think about it; especially for something that feels more like street food or fast food. On the bright side, the staff were very friendly and welcoming. However, some of them don't speak English; I had this issue with the waiter who brought my food. To sum up: I've definitely been to other Venezuelan restaurants in Miami that had more delicious food at better prices. But I still think Doggi's Arepa Bar is a good option if you're looking to eat Venezuelan food around Midtown Miami. Plus, it's generally a cute place to hang out and spend time.

Today, while waiting for something to print at Office Depot, I was searching for a nearby brunch spot when it popped up in my search & I'm so glad I did! First of all, the place is absolutely adorable. It was a packed Sunday morning around 11 a.m. Only one tiny table was left inside, though there were a couple outside too. Honestly, on a beautiful Miami morning, I wouldn't have minded sitting outdoors at all. What really stood out, though, was the service. Gabriela, our hostess and waitress, was wonderful. Warm, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely kind with a huge smile. She walked us through the menu, answered questions about dishes I didn't recognize (it's a Venezuelan spot, after all), and made us feel completely taken care of. Even more impressive was that she seemed to be the only waitress on duty yet never came across as flustered or hurried or anything other than pure sunshine! I ordered my longtime favorite, the arepa perica, just like I used to when I worked nearby, along with a fresh-squeezed orange juice and a chicken empanada to try. My father ordered the desayuno criollo. Everything was absolutely delicious. The presentation was beautiful, the plating thoughtful, and the flavors delivered across the board. The space was lively and full of families, making it a great Sunday brunch spot. Everything was spotless, and I don't usually call that out because it should be a given, but the restroom was impressively clean. Like extra clean. I also just learned they have multiple locations now, which is amazing. Well deserved. I can't wait to go back, and I wish them continued success.

I placed an order online through their website and drove to pick it up only to find out that their own website listed the wrong address for this location that Apple Maps has the wrong hours for. What a mess! By the time I got to the wrong address and called to figure out what was going on, my food had been sitting for 30 min and I was still 15 min away from the right address + 25 min to where I was staying. I had ordered arepas, empanadas and ceviche. When I finally arrived to pick up I asked for the food to be remade specially the ceviche since I didn't feel comfortable eating something raw after it seating on the counter for over an hour due to their mistake. There was push back but they finally agree to re make the ceviche only. However the rest of the food was cold by the time we ate it. Very disappointing. Food was ok, not amazing or memorable

The service is attentive, and the food is excellent -- both in flavor and presentation. It's a place we have genuinely enjoyed visiting. However, during our most recent visit, there were a few concerns that stood out. First, we noticed that the prices listed on the menu did not match the prices on the receipt. While the differences were only a few dollars, it's important for pricing to be transparent and consistent to avoid confusion. We also really enjoyed the live music -- it created a wonderful atmosphere. However, once the band went on break, videos from the same artist played for over an hour. In our opinion, the content seemed directed toward one specific culture. Given that this is South Florida, where multiculturalism is such a big part of the community, it would be great to see entertainment that reflects and embraces a broader audience. Finally, while the food remains very good, the portion sizes feel small for the current pricing. It seems that prices have increased noticeably, and the value does not feel quite as balanced as before.

The La Pelúa is the real MVP, packed hasta el tope with juicy carne mechada and melted yellow gouda that hits en el alma. It's not just tasty, it's arrechísima. You bite into that and boom, you're back on the streets of Caracas, eating sabroso and forgetting you're even in Brickell. And the papitas fritas? Una vaina seria. Super crispy, golden, and totally addictive. You'll say you're just gonna try a few... mentira. You'll crush the whole thing before you're halfway through your arepa. Can't miss the toppings like alioli, garlic, guasacaca, spicy, or the Venezuelan punch, tartar sauce. Now let's talk billete: the price is a ganga. For what you get, massive portions, flavor for days, and that homemade feel, it's honestly a steal. In this part of Miami? That's a miracle with guasacaca on top. Plus, the crew? Unos cracks. Full-on Venezuelan warmth, quick service, good vibes, and they treat you like you've been coming there since chamito.
