Authentic Cuban Spanish Food - A Hidden Gem! Literally hidden to the right of the strip of shops. If you're on the hunt for authentic Cuban Spanish food, look no further than this hidden gem! From the moment you walk in, you're transported to the vibrant streets of Havana. The ambiance is warm and inviting, with a decor that beautifully captures the essence of Cuban culture. Food: The menu is a delightful journey through classic Cuban dishes, each more tantalizing than the last. The Ropa Vieja is a must-try - slow-cooked to perfection with a rich, flavorful sauce that makes every bite heavenly. The arroz con pollo is another standout, with tender chicken and perfectly seasoned rice. Don't miss the tostones and maduros, which are crispy and sweet, respectively, providing the perfect balance of textures and flavors. Drinks: The drinks menu is equally impressive, featuring a range of Cuban cocktails. The mojitos are refreshingly minty, and the sangria is the perfect blend of fruity and robust. Service: The staff here are incredibly friendly and knowledgeable. They go out of their way to make you feel at home and are more than happy to recommend dishes based on your preferences. Atmosphere: The lively atmosphere, complete with Cuban music playing in the background, makes it a great spot for both casual dining and special occasions. Whether you're dining solo, with friends, or with family, you'll feel right at home. Overall: This place is a true treasure for anyone looking to experience the flavors and warmth of authentic Cuban Spanish cuisine. Highly recommend! Very friendly jhovanella patiently explained the food and took our order in English Thank You!

I knew there had to be a top notch quality local spot that's not a bazillion dollars to eat and 'La fama cafeteria' is it! I had to have the Cuban sangwich which was muy delicioso and my buddy had the whole fish of the day which he's devouring ahora. Will be having several more meals here while in town and allow my finances to take a breather. No se olviden los pasteles de guava

La Fama is a true Miami gem, excellent food and service. I've lived in Miami for three years and this is by far one of my favorite places in the city. So affordable and it's a great home cooked meal every time... don't miss out on the colada either. Almost come daily and never leave disappointed.

Just left and had to run on here to tell you how amazing this place is! We had a sweet server I don't remember her name but she was so attentive! The atmosphere was pleasant and a lot of people sit at the bar - you can dine in or takeout! I took the last pastelitos which were AMAZING!! Queso y guava - only available when we went around 7pm I'm sure they have more pastries and sweets we just went late in the evening! The food was omg so delicious I can't wait to come back here during the morning to get first of everything! I left with my cafe con leche on my hand - love authentic Cuban food and this is it!!

Café con leche so good. It's hot and just the right amount of sweetness. Also don't pass up the pastries. The cheese con guava , the patty, and the potato ball were delicious. My daughter and I ordered the specials. Baked chicken and Carne Asada. Food was on point! And super affordable. We came out spending less than $20 per person. If your in Miami go to this place. It's the BEST!

This little cafe was super crowded at lunch time. That's always a good sign! There menu is filled with all the traditional Cuban fare ubiquitous to Miami. I tried something new, a bread beefsteak sandwich "bistek empanizado". It was delicious and huge. I kept half the sandwich for the next day's lunch. They also, of course, have all your favorite varieties of Cuban coffee. I had un cordadito to finish off the meal and it hit the spot. When you go plan to take your food with you. Order to go because their dining area is small and over crowded (no social distancing). I couldn't get a table during the lunch rush.

I am in love with this place! The food is sooooo good & very affordable. Even though it's right down the street from the touristy part of Wynwood, La Fama Cafeteria is very locals-oriented. The pan con bistec-wow! The chicken soup-yes please! There are 2 sides-one with counter seating only and another with a few tables. They are usually pretty busy but the servers are very friendly and hardworking. There is a lot out front for parking and free street parking if the lot gets full.

Second time eating here and it was even better than the first time. This time around I wanted to try the menu outside of the sandwiches and was impressed. I had the Monday special shredded beef with rice and beans and it's was amazing definitely worth the price! Can't wait to come back!

We visited Miami for a week about a month ago. It was great! We wanted to get some good Cuban food and this place was the shit! Best decision ever. Great sandwich, great everything, even the papaya juice was amazing and I don't even like papaya. Steak sandwich was $6 FYI. So good. Would come back to Miami just to eat here again. 10/10.

Definitely a reliable spot. Can't go wrong w the rice and beans, maduros y tostones. Don't sit down if you're not on Miami time, took us 15 minutes to get the check. Although this is a typical local spot, I would recommend it to someone from out of town looking to get some authentic latin caribe food. Won't beat this price anywhere in Miami.

So anyways, let's talk about their food. I'll just say it's delicious, nothing fancy. I'll recommend the steak we ordered. We both ordered a steak and a wine which was very affordable and delicious. Our kids only ate 1portion of burger and fries because I know they can't finish it because the portion of their burger and fries were so big. The food here is very affordable, they are very tasty, very clean place and large portions. If ever you want to visit here, you should make a reservation in advance because thre are too many people who come here and there's a chance that there won't be any seats available by the time you arrive. Alright, where to start here...everything was absolutely excellent!…read more Parker rolls (3.5/5): going to start with the weakest link. Yes these are viral, no they are not mind blowing. Deliciously fluffy and great with butter but they are still just dinner rolls. Hokkaido scallops (5/5): honestly one of the best bites of food I've had in years. The sweetness of the scallops, slight spice from the sauce, and balanced with pickled ginger...perfection. No words after bite 1, near tears after bite 2. Agnolotti (5/5): get this. The corn, crab, sauce...everything about this worked. This is like a healthy work environment where everyone lifts each other up. You'll get the sweet, the chew, the softness, the salty. Just get it. 26 oz ribeye (4.5/5) with peppercorn sauce (4/5) and bone marrow vinaigrette (5/5): okay so this dish was our main and it did not disappoint. You can definitely taste the beefiness from the dry aging and that alone was enough. With the peppercorn sauce it was great. BUT with the bone marrow vinaigrette, that took this steak from "really good" to life changing experience. Kouign amann ice cream sandwich (5/5): if you've never had a kouign amann, it's like if a croissant and a cake had a baby. Add in some ice cream and this dessert would've had to choke me to death on the way down to not get a 5/5. I'm alive and arguably more than ever after eating this platonic concept of dessert perfection. Get this! The restaurant was beautiful, interior looks like an NYC steakhouse while the exterior outdoor seating is very Miami. The service was some of the best I've ever had. Every server was knowledgeable, friendly, and you felt like they all really enjoy being here. Overall, if you're in Miami, you have to come here. The staff make you feel at home the moment you walk onto the property. I say property because it is much more than a restaurant. It is a gorgeous courtyard, multiple bars, a huge dining room. It's one of the most unique layouts I've seen and it creates the foundation for an incredible experience. Our reservation was 8:30pm on a Sunday and it was packed. There was not a single open table. We left around 11pm and still, totally packed. Sunny's is a hot restaurant - anytime, any day they are booked solid. The food is incredible. We started with the raw bar and had oysters, scallops, hamachi, and razor clams. The raw razor clams were the best I've ever had. The scallop with the salsa verde.... Wow. Amazing bites. We got the sausage filled with Comte cheese. This is one of the best items on the menu. Must order. We ordered the agnolotti and cavatelli. The duck cavatelli is an excellent pasta dish. The crab agnolotti is one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had, if not the best (contenders are Torrisi and Lilia so you know I know). When you bite into the agnolotti, it bursts like a soup dumpling filled with rich corn butter and cream. It's quite literally magical. You have to appreciate the genius and talent that went into this dish. We finished with the hanger steak - perfectly cooked and seasoned. We enjoyed it with potato butter and green peppercorn sauce. We also got the fries. A perfect, golden, crispy fry dipped into the potato butter as an experience on its own. Our dinner ended with the kouign Amann ice cream sandwich. A must order if your second stomach can handle it. Not sure if I've used the work "spectacular" in any of my Yelp reviews to date, but Sunny's deserves it. A night to remember!

If you're looking for a high-end dining experience in the heart of Miami, Dirty French Steakhouse…read morein Brickell absolutely delivers. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable--attentive without being intrusive, knowledgeable, and genuinely warm. You can immediately tell this is a place that takes hospitality seriously. We started with the beef carpaccio, which was beautifully presented and delicately seasoned--light, flavorful, and the perfect way to begin the meal. The wedge salad followed, crisp and refreshing with just the right balance of richness and acidity. For the mains, the experience really elevated. I had the tomahawk steak, and it was outstanding--perfectly cooked, deeply flavorful, and easily one of the better steaks I've had in Miami. My wife ordered the lobster ravioli, and this dish deserves special mention: it wasn't just ravioli with a hint of lobster--it actually featured generous, large pieces of lobster, which made it feel both indulgent and well worth ordering. The ambiance strikes a great balance between upscale and lively, making it ideal for both a special occasion or an elevated night out in Brickell. Now, to be clear--prices are definitely on the higher side. But in this case, you truly get what you pay for. Between the quality of the food, the execution, and the level of service, it feels justified. Bottom line...If you're willing to splurge for a memorable steakhouse experience, Dirty French Steakhouse is absolutely worth it. We'll definitely be back.

Service was warm and friendly overall but not always as attentive. Small lapses stood out (most notably, red wine being poured into my champagne glass) but those things happen and were apologized. Food-wise, everything we ordered was good but some dishes felt overpriced for what they were. The beef carpaccio,l was overwhelmed by oil which dulled the delicacy of the meat. The wedge salad was similarly heavy-handed: fully tossed and drenched in dressing losing the crisp that makes a wedge shine. That said, the filet mignon was excellent: well-cooked, properly seasoned, and easily the standout of the meal. It was the dish that felt most worth its price. Overall, Miami's Dirty French is a great choice for a sexy steakhouse night out with a lively atmosphere and solid food.
