As a working mom with an infant, I reached out to Grace Home Cleaning for some cleaning assistance…read more I have a 3bed, 3bath (3/4, 1/2, and a powder room) 1900sq foot home, but I let them know my priorities were cleaning the bathrooms and the baseboards in the bedrooms and main living areas. I ended up choosing the 3.5 hour clean so make sure these priorities could be taken care of with hopes that maybe one or two other tasks from a prioritized list could be done in that time period. After Monday's cleaning, I will say that the bathrooms look very nice, but that seems to be the only thing that got done. I'm not sure how that would have taken the entire 3.5 hours, as two of the bathrooms are seldom used, very small, and mostly already clean. She noted that she dusted the drop zone (a small bench) which is nice, but it was not an area of the house on our list to be cleaned. I was upset that I essentially paid $200 to have my bathrooms cleaned, so I left that feedback to the company. I will say I was very impressed with the quick, kind response and offer to have the cleaner come back for 2.5 hours the next day. During that 2.5 hours session, she noted that she touched up the bathrooms she had previously cleaned, cleaned the baseboards upstairs in the bedrooms and vacuumed, and cleaned the baseboards in the hallway/stairs to our kitchen. Do these areas look great? Yes! But I'm at a loss at how, in six hours of cleaning, the majority of my kitchen and the entirety of the living room were untouched. We have been debating hiring a cleaner for a monthly or quarterly cleaning, but we will not be continuing with Grace Home Cleaning.

After a telephone conversation and a walk-through of the area to be cleaned, we agreed upon pricing, and my service was scheduled. My first visit to ladies came out and offered the deep cleaning service. I would expect with every visit. The next visit the same, two ladies came out and did an average job and left before I had an opportunity to walk through the area, and I was a little disappointed that somethings were left, either undone, or simply not cleaned at all. The third and final visit the ladies were at my house for less than an hour and left without cleaning floors, stove, toilets, etc. and I decided to move on from using their services. While I was offered the opportunity to have the crew come back another day. My schedule didn't allow for it and I was a little frustrated with the whole experience. I would suggest that you tread lightly if you use the service and ensure that expectations are clarified, including not leaving before a joint inspection of work is completed.

I then ran some errands and came back two hours later thinking she'd be just about done. I walk in and barely anything had been done. She was cleaning out the tub, apparently, but I couldn't even smell the cleaning products (which usually you can, especially in a space that small). I asked her if she thought she'd be done soon, and she said she was just getting started. I then paid her for the two hours and said to text me when she was done and we could square up later. Maybe like the previous poster, I was too trusting. I didn't receive a text so the next afternoon I text her. She said she was at my apartment cleaning until 4 in the morning. Seven hours of cleaning for a 500 sf apartment? So later that day I had a walkthrough with my landlord and it was the first time seeing the place after Jan cleaned. Yes, the fridge and oven were cleaned and the toilet was mostly cleaned, but the shelves weren't, and there was a layer of something grimy on the hardwood floors. It looked like someone spent an hour and a half, maybe two hours cleaning - definitely not the seven hours she said she did. Even my previous landlord during the walkthrough said I had been ripped off and asked me for her name so she could be sure to stay away. Anyway, I called her and told her I wasn't happy and she said she'd meet me at the place that weekend so I can show her what areas needed to be recleaned. Well, that day she was at another house and was over an hour late in heading in my direction. I waited until I couldn't anymore and then called her and said to forget about the reclean, I couldn't wait. I said I'd be willing to pay for another hour or so more than what I had previously paid, but not the seven additional hours she said she cleaned. She told me to keep the money. I definitely would recommend looking elsewhere for cleaning services
