This review is for a replacement home window glass. First, a tech came out to measure. Then, the dual pane, lo-e with argon sealed unit was brought to my home and installed in less than 15 minutes. It was that easy! The tech is very courteous and professional. Thank you, Vadym. It is very warm in the area near the glass and there isn't any moisture build up around the frame. Strongly recommend you do NOT do business with this company - because they will NOT honor a written quote. Serhiy is the one who comes out to do secondary measurements - and he will suddenly come up with a completely different number than the quote provided. I have the email from their office with the PDF attachment reflecting a specific amount that I accepted. I refused to pay over $2k more than the quote, because that's shady business. Our big front window cracked and we needed it replaced. We found Argo on google and they were one of 3 places we called for an estimate. I can't tell you how their price compared because they're the only ones who even bothered to call me back so A+ on the customer service, but we do think the price was fair and likely competitive. Everyone from our first call, our estimate and the replacement itself was kind and friendly and professional. The service was FAST too. Just a note, if you use a credit or debit card there will be a 3% addition to the price. These guys were great! I had a huge bathroom window that was "sinking" due to wood rot and which had a broken seal. They did a professional job removing all the moulding and shutters, and were very careful not to knick the wood. The new window and new sash are now perfectly installed, the shutters rehung, and everything is caulked. They cleaned/vacuumed the area well when they were finished. I'm very pleased! Very professional and friendly people came out to quote. The initial repair was done very poorly and the windows would not close. A different person came back out to fix but the original person obviously did not know what he was doing. The job was unfortunately not done perfectly and likely wont last long. The larger complaint is the billing practices as others have mentioned on here. If you decide to use them, do not give out your credit card number! Pay cash only as they will charge you more than the original quote without approval. Also they charge a ridiculous credit card service fee. read more

Foggy glass replacement to one sliding patio door's (2) stationary panels including the replacement of a rotted sash; bedroom window hardware repair and garden window (2) glass replacements. This company not only saved me a ton of money (from buying new windows and heating/cooling costs) but they exceeded my expectations for as picky as I am. :) They were punctual to both the quote appointment and on installation day. Their quote process was thorough, the technician was clear, very knowledgeable and professional. He did not try to upsell upon his evaluation of all the other glass window concerns I had and answered all my questions honestly. On the day of installation their team was very respectful of our home and indoor/outdoor property. They had their share of obstacles to deal with, such as a Juliet balcony metal railing in their way, an old 90's garden window and its location. They somehow managed to work around all the obstacles and worked in tandem and efficiently to get the job done. Experience and attention to details definitely shined through when they delivered the finished product. From 8am-12noon and voila they were done. Their glass comes with a 20 year warranty, 3 years warranty on woodwork and 1 year warranty on hardware. Not bad considering that we live in a city with 4 distinct seasons. This company is very Dishonest! We received a quote to repair a rotten window. We were told everything would be fixed by the crew including the cranks that operate the opening and closing of the window. They got there to start the work, removed existing window then abruptly stopped and started to write up an additional quote! After speaking with the office manager, we were told that this happens , that the person who gave the initial quote wouldn't have been able to see all the damage that needed to be repaired! It would be an additional $700 on top of $1650.00 price!!!! We said Absolutely Not!! They had to put the window back in and repair wood that they had already removed! All at their own cost and time! They we're not willing to work with us and do the job for the original quote! I believe it is customary for a business to eat the differece if their estimator is wrong! We will never promote this company again!!! read more

The seal on our sliding door glass failed and the windows was getting moisture between the panes. Argo was very responsive and provided the most cost effective quote. Glass took 3-4 weeks to come in and was installed quickly and without any mess. They're were very clear that payment by card added a 3% fee so I paid by check after install. We had Argo Glass & Windows replace sixteen glass panes, many of them large, in our home on January 13 & 14, 2020. Their pricing was fair and the quality of work excellent. Their crew was fast and courteous, completing the entire project in under two days. I thought I would have to repaint the outer frames in spring following the glass replacement, but the manner in which they performed the work kept the existing paint intact. It was January in Wisconsin and they removed the old glass panes and installed the new ones with a very minimum of cold air entering the house. My wife and I were home during the entire process and never felt cold. We will be having them return in spring to repair some rotted wood in a number of window frames and replace some broken window hardware. We will definitely continue to use them for any future window needs and highly recommend them to anyone needing similar work. read more

Mike and another guy whose name I didn't get came to our condo this morning to re-sand and re-stain our window frames. We live in a very well insulated building so there can be condensation at various times causing the wood to rot. They arrived just after 8:00 this morning to repair 5 of our windows. They promptly removed them and took them outside to repair them. About four hours later, they brought them back inside and re-installed them. What a difference! Really... I used this glass company and want to talk about their BILLING PRACTICES. If you pay by credit card, they DONT TELL YOU that there will be a "processing fee". They charged me 350.00, in excess of my 250.00 estimate and a 35.00 processing fee. When I contacted them they said "it says 3% processing fee will be added to every invoice". 3% of what? the 250.00 estimate? the 350.00 fee they falsely charged me? Do you have a calculator? NO apology, no explanation. This is a shyster company. read more

Without my authorization a charge for a replacement part was made. Had a choice of either a repair or purchasing a new window but had not made a decision either way. Had given my charge number (my mistake) but no authorization was made to go ahead and either order the part for repair or to go with the purchase of a new window.
