Earlier this year, we decided to address several aesthetic issues on the exterior of our home: Its original twenty-year roof was almost at the end of its lifespan and the wooden deck was beginning to show signs of deterioration despite repeated painting. The siding did not hold paint well and the colors, quite frankly, looked tired. It was time for a makeover. We had hoped to find a full-service contractor that could address each of these areas. Moreover, we wanted to use quality materials e.g. GAF Timberline HDZ roofing shingles, TimberTech composite decking, and most importantly, James Hardie fiber cement plank siding. Installation of the latter requires a certified contractor for warranty; for that reason, the list of candidate contractors was very short and from that list we selected Elite Exteriors, LLC of New Berlin, WI. This selection was bolstered by a very nice and competitive bid especially given the materials and size of the home (4800 square feet). Elite Exteriors began work promptly after delivery of the materials. The project carefully proceeded in discrete phases beginning with the installation of the new roof followed by the siding. Because the soffits and fascia boards were also being replaced, new gutters were installed which provided an opportunity for some design changes that would further protect the deck and siding from run-off. Under the supervision of an excellent set of foremen, Elite's crews worked diligently in the hot weather and their excellent craftsmanship became obvious as the work progressed. It is to be expected that some glitches will occur on a project as large as this one. On this project, these were minor and they were addressed in a timely and equitable fashion each to our satisfaction. The individual crews and Elite Exterior management were responsive and this family-owned business did stand behind its stated goal of 100 percent customer satisfaction. Our project was finished after five weeks of work. The project was wrapped up carefully with no debris or materials left on-site and no damage done to the property. Elite Exteriors had transformed our home into a new and exciting place that now showed some "pop". We love the view as we drive down the street approaching our home. The best part may still be the fact that the exterior is now virtually maintenance free! At the end of it all, Elite Exteriors met our expectations and delivered satisfaction. But if you are the kind of person that keeps track of everything, Elite Exteriors also brought to the table full spectrum service, good pricing, excellent craftsmanship and supervision, responsiveness, and integrity. I've had Elite out to my house a couple of times in the last few months for storm damage from high winds. The first time a city tree fell on my front porch. Without hesitation Elite came out. They did a fantastic job of matching up the shingles. They replaced the damaged soffit, gutters, and roof. They didn't leave a mess. They walked around the house and tightened up some other loose areas. The second time we lost some shingles on our main roof. Within 48 hours they climbed up there and repaired the damage. They showed me before and after pictures and the work was seamless. I had an old dish attached to my house and I asked if they could take that down and patch the holes for me. Without hesitation the crew took it down and put it on the curb for the local scrapper. Once this roof wears out I'm going to put a metal one on. Be careful with Ryan as he is not trustworthy: his quotes are convoluted. In one property did siding, left terminated boarded windows exposed and when I asked him why it is not sided, he said that they did not know what to do with it. Then I asked why he did not call me and he said: " why would we call you for every LITTLE thing", another half of the siding left undone "because it is not a siding" and charge additional for that. In other building he did a roof which leaked in one spot and while roof is still under warranty did not return the call. Some recent wind blew some a couple of pieces of siding off of our house. We called Elite and they were able to get two service people to the house in a couple days and fixed the issue in no time. Price was good and service was great. Thy were able to fix our aluminum siding, which is great as it is no longer available. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for repairs. Old shingle siding was falling off in chunks, and we were really hoping to skate by one more winter with the current siding. They repaired it as best they could, given the circumstances. My CertainTeed siding had failed and I needed to have it replaced. After doing some research, I decided to replace it with Hardiplank siding. I realized that Hardiplank is an outstanding man-made material but the proper installation is critical. Then I learned that Elite Exteriors has the most trained and experienced installers in the area. When I called Elite Exteriors, I was put in contact with Scott. He made it easy to arrange an appointment that would fit into my busy schedule, which was true again when I had to meet with him to select the color. When we met, he explained what needed to be done and answered all of my questions. He pointed-out that some of the trim material had not been prepared properly and what I should do to correct the problem. He was also able to provide addresses as references and samples of colors. The installation went quickly and smoothly. They cleaned-up all of the extensive debris in a thorough and timely manner. Scott followed up to discuss what they had done and answer any questions I had. He also looked over my CertainTeed claim prior to submission and recommended additional photos to provide with the claim. I retained Elite Exteriors LLC of New Berlin to re-roof my main home, re-roof my detached garage, rip-off the old wood siding on the garage and replace it with Hardie-Board siding, install new gutters, replace a door, and then most importantly, stabilize and reinforce the sagging, collapsing garage roof.
