Argo is very popular cafe in Adelaide and line can be intimidating, but you usually get seated right away so do not be alarmed. You order by the register after you are seated, and the menu is massive so it can take quite some time to decide what you want. In my opinion, their menu is actually too big and leaves people somewhat confused. I had smashed avocado toasts and my husband had Big Brekky. They were both good but Big Brekky was definitely a winner. The portion is huge so honestly sharing one might have been enough. They have parrots outside on the way to the bathroom, which are really cute. I would recommend dining outside, as inside is very big and can get very noisy. It was so noisy that I couldn't really have a conversation over my breakfast. Not a really cafe environment but it was worth visiting.

Now I know what the fuss is about. Argo has plenty of competition given its' location on The Parade in Norwood, but now that I have eaten there I see why the tables are always packed and sometimes there is a wait for seating. The service is quite friendly and very fast at this walk up and pay brekkie/lunch hotspot. Today (Sunday @11:45/ish) I ordered the macrobiotic bowl, which has quite a lot going on in one bowl but it works. The ingredients were fresh and plentiful; I am a big eater and couldn't finish it this meal. Darn, I suppose it will have to serve as the entree for tomorrow's lunch :) There are many delicious choices, almost too many to be honest. Now that I am a believer I suppose I will need to begin working through the 10-12 items that immediately caught my eye then move on to the next 15-20 beautiful sounding items. Hahahaha- I really hate dilemmas like this. Not.

Here for brekkie! JUST GO! Nuff said lol!!! Won't allow me to post with little verbiage so I am just adding words to determine if it will accept the post.

It was a busy place so we lined up because the vibe was nice. We got to sit at a communal table and it was quite hard to go to the cashier because the place was packed and there wasnt much space to move around. Their servings were big. I got the chicken burger, it had kimchi and it tasted absolutely bland. My sister got the Itadakemasu I think is what it was called - buckwheat noodles that had other toppings. The umami was so strong she didnt finish her dish because it was too flavorful.

When you're seeking that great coffee and plenty of food choices to accompany it, it's comforting to know this little gem is right there on the next corner from home! Top that off with friendly, welcoming staff, and you have a total winner! Will be looking forward to continuing regular business - often in favour to our own Breville coffee machine. The wall art on their exterior walls is iconic

Oh yeah, they mark coffee lids so you know who gets what. Note the editorial comment added to my 4 shot latte.

ARGO feed yourself (with apologies to Ben Affleck). On a trip back to the CBD from the hinterlands of outer Magill, my wife Susie used Yelp to search out a brekkie stop. "Whoa, Chloe & Karen & everybody else on Yelp like this place-let's go there." And so began my journey to Argo. We found on-street parking close by, but not in front. All those spots were taken and at 7:45 in the morning, that says something. We went inside and found a table for two-fine for coffee, but a little small for brekkie. But we quickly moved to a right-sized four seater as someone left. There was lots of room, but lots of solo diners taking four-seaters, leaving couples to struggle over the two seater table scraps. Not Argo's fault, as it's free seating, but off-putting manners by early am Adelaide chow hounds. But then the joy began. What a great menu! Interesting, creative choices and lots of them! Aside from being an attractive venue, it is clear that they really want you to have a great meal here. As we were struggling with what to order, it dawned on us that we were huddled up like two polar bear cubs in a blizzard. Seems that Argo opens the wide front door/glass facade to the great outdoors. So the cold of an extremely chilly Adelaide winter morning was having it's effect. We decided to give up our hard-won four seater table, order takeaway and eat in in the (warm) car. I went up to order and BAM, someone said, "Be right with you," and then BAM, they were there to take my order. I was starting to like this. Placed my order, paid and and was given a beeper for my food and told that my name would be called when the coffee was ready. Great, I thought I have time for a quick visit to the toilet. Got back in a couple of minutes and the person who took my order saw me and said, "Hey, your coffee's ready." I am beginning to think I'm somewhere besides Adelaide. BAM, these folks are FAST. Took the coffees out to the car, came back and BAM, the beeper went off-food's ready. So back to the car with the food. I noticed that the lattees were clearly marked on the lids, so we knew who got what (see photo). Same with the food too. No ripping bags open and swapping food. Fast and organised and customer focused. And then we tucked in. Oh My! We had the Jack and Jill brekkie sandwiches, one with no bacon. They were luscious. I often end up ordering my brekkie sandwiches cold because I am tired of having them heated in a fifty kilo press and coming out like hot sheets of cardboard. But at Argo, the focaccia was heated through, but still soft and flavourful. The rest of the brekkie sandwich was moist and juicy, but not so sloppy that it squirted out in odd directions. Simply the best brekkie sandwich-ever. Our lattes were prepared as ordered and met our often demanding coffee requirements. So it's five stars for us. We're definitely going back on a warmer morning and diving into some of those scrumptious looking dishes we saw going out to other diners. Argo is everything I want, need and expect in a brekkie cafe. Besides great food, they really understand service. And that's just not common enough in Adelaide. It makes Argo stand out.

    Busy busy, but lovely atmosphere

My last Argo experience was at the City, which was average but not stunning. We wanted Nordburger but it was 100% packed. So my friend suggested Argo, and I'm happy to say that the Norway location is a winner; it' consistently packed, the staff work flat out but are still friendly and the food is of high quality. Some of the menu is a bit pricey but it depends what you choose. I respect people trying to eat a bit healthier, but I personally don't buy into the vegan health movement...the chia bowls, the detox salads etc. So I settled for a burger and fries at my friend's recommendation. I misread the chilli fries as chilli cheese fries so I was surprised when my fried came dusted with crushed dried chilli and no sauce. I read the menu and it was NOT chilli and not cheese :( The french fries were french fries, not much to say (undersalted by i added salt and pepper). Fried to a crispy exterior with fluffy inside, it came with ketchup but I should have asked for that chilli relish since the fries weren't spicy at all. My friend had sweet potato fries and I was skeptical because alot of places can't do them right and it's soggy and oily. The Argo's ones are crispy and very well done, well worth the $6 because it's done properly. Comes with sour cream. Nevertheless, I waited patiently for my burger which was the beef burger with spicy argo sauce with jalapeno on a black bun. Honestly I got it for the black bun, maybe it was squid ink or something. It came out on a plain bun but at first I didn't notice so I took a photo, started cutting it, almost took a bit and then...Wait a minute!! It's not black... So I asked a waiter who promptly went to replace it (kinda feel douchey for sending it back but yeah). Out comes the remade burger with black bun and I dug in. The bun has no unique flavour, it's purely aesthetic but looks nice. There was a great char on the patty that I could taste. The patty was very slightly mushy (maybe some fillers, because I don't get that sensation at Relish'd) but the smoky char flavour saved it. It came with jalapeno and spicy sauce but I'm a chilli head so it wasn't spicy for me. The taste is there though, but I got full from the fries so I couldn't finish it. I don't normally eat outside (don't like sun on my food for some reason) but there was a shady 2 seat spot which I promptly took. It was so relaxing eating outdoors at Norwood, I gotta do it more! Good food, decent price ($13 burger), friendly wait staff and relaxing atmosphere. There was a slight hiccup with the order but it was changed without any fuss. 4.5/5, Will be back!

Wow! This place is amazing! On a Wednesday afternoon it was packed inside and out which just goes to show its the place to be in Norwood! The cabinets were full of delicious cakes and sweets, even catering for the dietary or health conscious. I tried the baklava and it was close to perfect. The coffee was also very good. One thing I noticed was the interior was well designed and modern and the addition of a bird avery out the back was really great. I am dying to go back here for an actual meal - subject to getting a table! In the meantime, this is my new fav place in Norwood, and with the incredible competition there on The Parade, that is saying something. Definitely put this place on your list of cafes to visit.

Wow, just wow! I bet all of the other café's and restaurants are looking at this place green with envy! Argo is pumping. Every time I walk past this café it is full of customers. And for good reason to, they have their customer service down and offer some really beautiful menu items, juices, smoothies, tea and coffees. Actually they pretty much have everything. When we arrived we were greeted by the waiter. He was very polite and chirpy. He asked if we had dined in the café before, which we had not. He then proceeded to guide us through the menu and informed us that they were happy to adjust any menu item to cater for any specific dietaries. So there is service for sure! Argo's menu is really large! Almost a little too large, but that is not always a bad thing. I was just spoilt for choice. Almost everything on that menu appealed to me. I had to get my partner to choose for me. I could not decide between four meals. That does not happen to me often. So I got a burger and some sweet potato wedges with tzatziki. We soon found out that the order probably could have fed two of me. Very generous servings that were great value for money. The quality of the meal was great, and especially in consideration of how busy they were. We ordered and we received our meals within around 7 mins. Super fast service! Great if you are in a rush. I think that may have had to do with how many staff were working. This really impacts on the quality of service and customer satisfaction. Not a lot of venues think this way. But look at the result, super busy restaurant full of happy repetitive clientele! And I can see this from all the other Yelp reviews. Very impressed, definitely a place to take all your girlfriends for a catch up!

It seems the local Norwoodians have been keeping this place a well hidden secret for a while because if I had heard of this place sooner I would have been to many a more brunches and desserts at this little haunt on The Parade. Although I only had a fruit salad with granola and yoghurt here, (the freshness and sweetness of the fruit is not to be smirked at) I managed to eyeball some seriously good looking eggs arriving at people's tables across the room. Service is super quick and the food is super fresh and super simple. Nothing much more can be said except it is "super" - b. The coffee is nothing to write home about, but it wasn't unpleasant. Prices were very reasonable and it is a no wonder that this place was packed all Saturday morning. Ergo I would certainly make a trip into Argo for a brunch sometime soon near you!

I go to Argo every Sunday morning. Dragging me out of bed on a Sunday morning is a challenge, so the food at Argo must be good. The coffee is definitely not the best I have ever had, but it is decent. I absolutely love the food. I really didn't expect much when I first went to Argo. I thought it was going to be another Italian café with over priced food. I was completely wrong. They have a brilliant range of food. In the cabinet there are delicious pre-made rolls, foccaccias and piadinas. My favourite is their piadina with haloumi, it is one of the best things I have ever eaten. As well as this food, there is a large range of breakfast dishes, salads, burgers and other items on the menu. Their vegetarian burger is delicious. I have eaten a lot of veggie burgers around Adelaide and this is one of the best. It is massive and made very healthily, like all of the food on the menu. The service at Argo is always great, the waitresses are very helpful and friendly. It can get very busy, especially on the weekend, but somehow the food and the drinks always come out extremely quickly. The prices are also very reasonable, especially for the quality of the food. Another feature of Argo that I like is the artwork they have on the walls. They feature interesting pieces by local Adelaide artists. My mum liked the art so much that she commissioned a painting by one of them!

This is a very organised, efficient, well run restaurant with a huge range of options. It's not cheap, so don't go for a budget breakfast. The BLT was too light on the bacon but the wraps are delicious, tasty, and stuffed full of good bits. Lots of healthy options, huge range of vego or vegan (love the Zoodles!) My most recent experience here was ruined by my poor juice choice. I was recovering from a cold and tried to go for health over flavour. WRONG MOVE. I'm one of those people who is embarrassed to admit they have food envy or that they ordered the wrong thing, so I plastered a smile on my face and choked down my health potion, quickly chasing it with sneaky mouthfuls of water and interspersing it with shovels of zoodles. Don't order the elixir juice! You've been warned. In summary, Argo has become an institution on the Parade and is well worth visiting.

I love Argo's, despite the sometimes long wait and the food and drinks coming out at different times, this is the BEST place I have ever been for breakfast, hands down. There is a reason there is a wait, and as they are so busy I can understand why they bring out items as soon as they are ready because why wait when the customer could be enjoying/nomming/getting caffeine. They have such a HUGE menu, full of so many amazing things. Gluten free, dairy free, vegans, vegetarians... you name it, they cater for EVERYONE! Everything is made on site, and there is so much to choose from I know I will have to keep coming back (I haven't even tried the lunch menu, or the amazing looking dairy free coconut ice cream they make like soft serve). Every time I walk out, full and content with my delicious food and drink I gaze wistfully at the HUGE array of cakes and delicious items available but am always so satisfied I never take any home. Maybe next time? Because I will definitely be going back!

    Amazing!
