A member of my family had been going to Surf City Pediatrics, located in HB, for months when my wife and I were hit with a $2,000+ bill and told our insurance, Cigna, was no longer valid or accepted. Fast forward 1+ year later ... Took me all of 45 minutes to find out that they submitted the wrong provider ID to the insurance Company. Rodney the owner has refused to call me back. Tracy, my billing "manager", hung up on me twice, refuse to help me and overall just won't take any responsibility for their error. On top of that they are not helpful and will not work my insurance provider to resolve this issue. Cigna has agreed to pay, in full, the medical bills directly related to this issue. All they needed to do was resubmit the bills and file a new claim. It's amazing that they can't even do that. Absolutely, the worst company to deal with. I'm surprised that a reliable and reputable Doctor's office like Surf City Pediatrics and Dr. Paul Pepek would choose OC Medical Billing for their medical billing needs. Such a shame because Dr. Pepek is a great doctor. I would stay away from OC Medical Billing at all costs!!!

First off, when I arrived i was an hour early then their closing time and 30 minutes before their last walk in time. It was closed upon arrival and when I called their excuse was that they were "in a meeting" however since i called they took me in and i was done way before the last walk in time (3:30). Second of all upon getting my test results read, they had told me that they lost my paperwork provided to me by my employer and their excuse was that their owner "took my paperwork for billing" I'm not sure why anyone would take any kind of paperwork for billing knowing its a pending test result? Third of all, due to them losing my paperwork they instead offered to email me my results within a few minutes of me leaving but ended up sending it to me hours after, which caused me to miss my deadline given to me by my employer. FOURTH of all, they filled out their own paper work that they sent in an email which had all the times of my reading stated inaccurately, which again i'm not sure why it would happen since they require you to sign in upon arrival. Knowing that this place works for employers that require certain deadlines and require paper work I'm not sure why there is this much level of incompetence when it comes to accurate reading times, unable to handle paperwork, and closing at the times they want. I wouldn't recommend employers partnering with this location.

This completely clashes with my target demographic of high-end residential clients Lack of Performance & Value: The automated backlinks and generic posts provided do not justify the $200/month fee. I have continuously had to manually log into my own Google Business Profile to correct the location targeting on your posts, meaning I am actively doing the work I am paying your agency to handle. Outdated SEO Strategy: In today's SEO environment, low-tier automated backlinks and canned posts do not carry weight or provide a return on investment for a high-ticket service business like mine. Severe Lack of Communication: The overall communication leading up to a recent phone conversation was completely unacceptable. While we just recently agreed to monthly email follow-ups to detail behind-the-scenes activity, the radio silence and lack of updates prior to that conversation left me completely in the dark regarding what I was paying for. False Sales Guarantees: During our initial sales consultation, I explicitly asked about timelines, and a representative stated that my business profile would be ranking "in the top 3" within 7 to 10 days. Their team has since repeatedly denied that this was said. I know the company records its sales lines, and I welcome them to audit the recording of that initial onboarding call.
