It looks like alterations are done well here and that's great. I'd been talking to who I believe is Ari for over a month about making a skirt for me. I am two hours away so the telephone texts were great. She quoted me a cost but when I arrived to the store she increased it my $100.00. But then dropped $50.00. At that point I did not trust the process including the fact that the alleged seamstress was digging in his nose SMH. One this is for sure. I will travel to get what I need. My sister bought me an alpaca blend poncho that has been in my closet for over 7 years because it is way too long. I've washed it in hot water & dried it in the drier and it didn't shrink at all. So brought it in & Shahnaz said she could not only shorten the length but take it in on the sides so it would fit better. It looked good with her even just pinning it up. The tailoring is wonderful. I want to thank Shahnaz and her assistant--a very skilled seamstress whose name I didn't catch. I had a dress altered at another shop for my son's upcoming wedding, but when I got home, I noticed it was too long in the back. I didn't want to return there--not only was the work incomplete, but the shop was far from my home, the person at the counter was difficult to communicate with, and the place itself wasn't very nice. After doing a lot of online research, I found Ari's Tailoring, which had consistent 5-star reviews. When I brought my dress in to the shop (which was very nice), Shahnaz immediately noticed the hem was uneven--off by as much as 1 1/2 inches from front to back. She had me take off my shoes so she could mark the dress evenly from the ground, then mark it again for the shorter length. I asked about raising the straps, and she took the time to explain why that wouldn't be advisable, showing me how it would affect the overall fit. I ended up bringing in two dresses in total, and the work was beautiful on both. I've finally found my go-to alteration shop--at last! read more

They put a HOLE in my shirt. Just tried on my clothes and my shirt has a big HOLE in it now. There's no way they hung my shirt back up on the hanger and didn't notice they put a hole in my shirt and yet they chose to not tell me they made a mistake. I know for a fact they did it since I took pictures of all my clothes before dropping it off. Next, I asked for a skirt to show less thigh.... they didn't work on this piece AT ALL yet still charged me for it. If they couldn't do it they could have at least refunded me for that piece. I asked for a dress to be above the knee and it's still below my knee. Lastly, I asked them to take off a bit of material on a shirt since it was baggy and they did not do that but instead made it to where now I have a lot of side cleavage showing. 4 out of 4 items were a fail and now I have a hole in one of my tops. Just as someone stated below, honesty and integrity go along way, if they told me about the hole or how they didn't alter my skirt I would have respected their honesty. Not to mention this was the most expensive place Ive ever been too for tailoring, I was shocked when they told me the price. Do NOT come here. read more

Shahnaz is the best! I took my wedding dress to her shop since she was close by, and she turned out to be a hidden GEM, I mean she worked some serious magic! I called her and she was so kind and informative. She was also extremely responsive via text. Her shop is located in a corner suite which was easy to find, and it is decorated beautifully with a floral wall with a mirror. I came in for a fitting, and she had it done in one try! Ari Tailoring is my go to spot for alterations or any fixings that I may need for my garments. Ari is and has always been so kind, patient, personable, honest, meek, and friendly. Before I ever sought out her services or became her customer, I called to ask a few questions... such as inquired about a item I had in mind to be altered and to see if it was feasible to do and business hours. The first time I called I did not receive an answer, she returned my call quickly and was so nice. She answered all my questions, let me know she could alter my item but she had to see it in order to have a proper quote for the services, and let me know whenever I was ready to seek her services she would be pleased to help me. Since that one call Ari has altered and fixed four items for me. When I first met her in person she was pleasant and a pleasure! She took her time with measuring me to ensure my two piece skirt set fitted me right and that it still looked classy and as if no alteration had ever occurred. It resulted in my item looking better than it did when I first purchased it. When my daughter graduated from grade school and had a dress that was too big and full of material, Ari was able to tailor and alter her dress as if it was couture and custom made and did not come from a store. When I was hesitant to do it, because the alterations cost more than the price I paid for the dress, Ari did not pressure me for her services or urge me to do so. She gave me the honest truth about the pricing and labor for my daughter's dress, explained how clothing stores sizing work when they make clothing and that they do not always fit the sizing chart of all people, and said she respect whatever choice I made in regard to my daughter's dress and sympathized with me being apprehensive about the price( the dress it self already cost $100 from the store I purchased it from). Ultimately, I went with her services again. She made my daughter's dress beautiful and contributed to one of the best parts of her special day. When my new dress had a rip in it she was able to fix that, and she just altered another dress for my preteen daughter that I picked up today. Which I purchased the wrong size by mistake. This place was very accommodating to my last minute request! My wedding is next week Wednesday (12/20/23)and I came in late for an alteration this week Wednesday (12/13/23) due to a busy schedule. I asked if she was able to finish my dress by Monday! I know it was a crazy short time for her so I did not ask for any time sooner. The next day from when I dropped off my dress the owner called me and said my dress was ready! Just in one day!! So I thought I would come here to let people know how great their service is here!
