a baked aubergines with tomatoes and egg GBP 4.50 - I think the aubergines were slightly burnt rather than charcoaled. But otherwise, was a nice warm dip with the bread. houmous GBP 3.95 - good texture with little chuncky bits but lacks seasoning and the punch of garlic. bread GBP 1.50 - eat while it is warm because it gets crispy when it is cooled. mantoo GBP 8.95 - wheat flour stuffed with minced lamb and onions, served with yoghurt, dry mint and meat sauce. The pasta was light and not cloying on the teeth. Stuffed with generous filling of meat and sauce, it was my favourite. portions of marinated whole poussin, charcoal grilled, served with saffron steamed basmati rice and grilled tomato mixed vegetable GBP 8.95 - the poussin was moist, full of flavour and I was impressed by the portion size! stewed finely diced lamb cooked with aubergines, split peas, tomatoes, dry lime and served with saffron steamed basmati rice GBP 8.95 - delicious tender meat, well cooked aubergine and the tangy flavour from the dried lime was marvellous. Yum! spicy chilli relish with walnuts - served alongside the mains. With my Asian heritage and the ability to tolerate the chilli heat, I would say that this chilli sauce is on the scale of 2/5 but my European hubby rates it at 3.5/5. A bowlful of rice with this chilli sauce for me, was exquisite! persian ice-cream GBP 3.00 - saffron ice-cream with pistachio nuts. It was delicious but not if you have more than three teaspoonfuls where then the only taste that lingers in your mouth is the sweetness. Not very nice after that because I had to wash it down with water. freebie for writing this review, or if you're connected in any way to the owner or employees.

We got the dry meat and it was a good portion, nothing exceptional per se. The naan had pools of ghee on it which I don't think was necessary. The menus are sticky and the bathrooms are pretty dirty. Found this restaurant on Yelp after seeing such great reviews and I wasn't disappointed! At first, I was nervous my friend and I wouldn't get a table due to how busy the restaurant was but since we were only two people, we had no issue getting a table. Seating is tight! You are almost arm to arm with the individuals sitting around you which I actually found to be a great experience. My friend and I ended up striking conversation with the people next to us which led to a fun dining experience. Service was quick! We ordered food and it came out quickly and all waiters were super attentive. In terms of food, everything was absolutely delicious and portion sizes were huge! First we ordered the lamb chops and the samosas which were absolutely amazing. We then ordered the chicken and lamb dishes with the naan which completely filled us. I can't wait to come back and I will absolutely be dreaming about this restaurant until I come back!

Great service- moderately priced - great views!…read more On our last evening in London, we wanted to try a steakhouse near our hotel. Goodman's was the highest rated in our area for steakhouses so we gave it a try. The prices aren't cheap but are comparable to steakhouses back in the states. We ordered a t-bone and a bone in ribeye- both are cuts we typically order in the US paired with mashed potatoes and creamed spinach- also side dishes we would typically order with our steaks. The manager stopped by our table to apologize for the delay in our order (honestly we didn't even notice). Shortly after her apology our food arrived and exactly how we ordered - medium rare. Nothing is worse than a steak that is over prepared to your liking. They served the steaks with 3 sauces- bernaise, pepper sauce, and bbq flavored sauce. The sauces were ok in flavor but I feel steak is best eaten with butter & salt and as minimal sauce as possible to enjoy the steak. A good steak doesn't require any sauce in my opinion. Although the steak was prepared to our liking - always a plus when dining out - what stood out the most was the service. Isabella (Zabella) was a fabulous server. She was accommodating and offered several choices. A few of the steaks we attempted to order were sold out and she offered alternatives which is always better than "sorry we're out". She was a lovely Italian who gave us friendly service in addition to travel advice to her home country. On top of the great service, the manager once again stopped by and offered us dessert and a drink as an apology for the delay in our food service. We definitely didn't expect this but happy to oblige when she offered. Price is always an important factor when choosing a restaurant, but service almost always supersedes that (within reason of course). When you have great food AND great service that's a 5 Star in my opinion! So when you're in the Canary Warf area of London, definitely check out Goodman with the nice views of the water and great service.

We started with some yummy cocktails and the okra fries which were delicious - if only okra always tasted this good. For mains, we shared the chicken tikka, black daal, paneer and garlic naan. Pretty standard Indian order. The chicken tikka was just too spicy and we weren't used to that so it went mainly eaten. My favorite was the black daal but again, it wasn't so amazing that I would go and have it again. Honestly the best dish we had was dessert - the basmati kheer is a perfect rice pudding with crème brûlée like topping. So good. Service was spotty, I constantly found myself trying to find our server or make eye contact with him. They were slammed on a Tuesday night (which I'm sure is the case every night) so that's probably just the way things are but it could've been better. Disappointed but willing to try again, also made me want to try some other Indian spots in London next.

It's true that if you've been to one of the many burger chains in London, you've kind of been to them all. However, each one guarantees good- if not great- quality, and a few signature twists of their own. This place is no different, and conveniently-located near one of London's most famous landmarks. The interior of this one leaves a bit to be desired, with it's quirky Scrabble-looking signage and funky colors, but the menu is the same as everywhere else. I was a bit miffed that I had to get up and go order at the bar after being seated, but the menu was straightforward enough that it didn't take long. Service was also a bit lukewarm, but whatevs. It being my first time here, I thought it best to go with one of their benchmark signatures and ordered The Legend burger with smoked applewood cheese and a side of sweet potato fries with a bacon mayonnaise dipping sauce. I have to say, that was one darn good burger. The meat was perfectly cooked, the sauce they used balanced out all the flavors nicely, and those fries were cooked to such perfection, I had to force myself to use the dipping sauce so it wouldn't go to waste. There was nothing wrong with this meal. And the price wasn't bad, either. They also have a nice selection of cheap cocktails, beers, and dessert on the menu, but for all that, you're going to need an extra stomach or two.
