We had Ariel at our wedding last weekend and they were a blast. Their sound and music was strong and energetic. Their staff was professional. Ariel Music was wonderful. We booked them for our July 2016 wedding at The Manor in West Orange, NJ and received so many compliments throughout the event and weeks after. We began working with the band manager, Elizabeth, about eight months before the wedding. My husband and I met while living in New Orleans, and we wanted a band that was versatile enough to play some New Orleans-style music. Ariel did not disappoint. Due to the very skilled and diverse make-up of the band,one band member had been a part of a New Orleans-style band in the past, and was instrumental in having the band learn some new songs for their repertoire. Music was a very important part of the wedding, and the band incorporated and worked with our particular choices. They adhered to the "do not play" list and I felt that they really understood my musical preferences. They also learned a song for my first dance with my husband, and played it exactly like the recording, which helped with our choreographed dance. Toward the end of the party, they had some great interactions with the guests, but not to a point that it felt like a performance. Ariel played at our outdoor tent wedding in central New Jersey, and they did not disappoint. My wife and I watched many highlight videos hoping to find a band that was both lively and affordable. Ariel was recommended through our wedding planner and once we watched their showcase highlights on YouTube, it was apparent they would be a great fit (little did we know, they were the absolute perfect fit). The entire 9 piece band, with multiple singers and a large brass section, was exactly what we were looking for. Ariel's management was thoroughly enjoyable and easy to work with during the planning of our wedding. There were multiple events that my wife and I were unable to attend to see Ariel perform live prior to our wedding, so it wasn't until our reception that we had the pleasure of watching them play. During our cocktail hour we had two of Ariel's musicians play, setting the tone for a relaxed and enjoyable hour prior to the reception. Once the actual reception began Ariel brought tremendous energy and really got the crowd excited to celebrate on what turned out to be the most amazing day. Our wedding song was definitely a new one for the band ('Jackie & Wilson' by Hozier) but they did such an outrageous job . Because we ended up having beautiful weather, all of our guests were having a great time and the band really fed off of their energy as well. Since our wedding was on September 21st, the band concluded the night playing September by Earth, Wind & Fire and it was the most fun I've had out on a dance floor at any wedding. I was thoroughly impressed by how professional all the members of the band were. They were critical in making the day out be an incredible experience for everyone involved.
