I went for a facial and massage (mind you, I rarely get a spa day as a mom to a toddler) Soap smelled great and ambiance was nice but I left with extremely sore upper back (from facial massage) and sore arm and hand (from massage) I specifically told the masseuse medium pressure after having the facial I HAVE BRUISES 3 days later. Love getting my massages here and honestly haven't booked anywhere else since first coming here. I love that you get a robe, and can relax in the tranquility room with fruit water. I usually come early and then bring a book to read which is so relaxing. Massages have always been great and then I use the sauna after and take a steam shower. This was my first visit to Arista Spa in Naperville. The massage and facial were satisfactory, but I noticed some issues. I wasn't informed about additional charges during the process, which should have been included in the services or explained ahead of time. The facial felt rushed, and when I reached the register, an extra $157 was added to my $455 bill. I also had the SAME problem as so many other reviews. My manicure was a no chip and it chipped of in two days! They do not offer dip nails and the only product they use for no chip is the outdated shellack. Even the girl who was so nice said the top coat isn't as strong as others and offered to bring in a better one from her home! I get manicures and was shocked at the price as well. Over $70 for a no chip since they charge for polish removal! No one does that unless you are not getting a new polish. For a luxury spa the products they use do not match a luxury setting. With so many wonderful spas on the area I know you will have a better experience someplace else! read more

Just returned from from a spa package that I spent $500 on and.... Meh. The good: the facial was the best part. My skin feels great and I got a bonus foot massage. The shower was really hot and the sandals they give you are comfortable. My toenails look nice. My masseuse did a good job and the pressure was great. The not good: On what planet is the reflexology pedicure worth $90?? After I got home and looked again there was supposed to be a mask application with hot towels. I got lotion with lukewarm towels. I could have gone to my regular nail place and gotten my nails done twice with way more involved than I did here. The robes they give you are insanely itchy. The hair products in the women's locker room were all empty. This is totally my fault but the massage that was $160 had to get interrupted halfway through because I'm nursing and I couldn't lie on my stomach because of insane pain. The masseuse was great and went and got me a pillow and had me lie on my side but it took me out of the zone and that kind of sucked. My bad. Anyways 3 stars because I just spent a crapton of money and don't think it was worth it at all. Lesson learned I guess! read more

Our experience with the Arista Spa started off rather rocky. I initially booked the hotel for a date in January, but when making appointments for 2 people with the same package I was told there was no availability. I therefore rebooked our Hotel Arista weekend away for two months later based on information I received from manager Nancy. She assured me that they "should" be able to have 2 employees work on both my BFF at the same time as they were hiring more employees at that time and should be fully staffed by March. I asked her if she was sure and would there be any problem for 2:30 on March 12, I was told there shouldn't be. I took this as being my official "reschedule" with the spa. However, a few days prior to our visit I wished to confirm and it is a good thing I did! Nancy said she had no notes based on our interactions, but would try to work it out. Although a bit irritated, I appreciated her help. She was able to therefore book us both for 11:45 on March 12. Cool, I would just have to wake up a bit early as I work nights and I just don't do mornings. Day of, my BFF and I arrived at 11:40 for our 11:45 appointment time. Unbenowst to us, 11:45 was when our massages were actually supposed to start! We did not discover this until we had signed our paperwork and changed into our robes. Isn't this something that should have been clear from the beginning? Or told us our appointments should actually be at 11:30? The massage therapists hurried us in and started apologizing that our time would be cut from 60 minutes to 42. My friend and I were confused, as we had arrived 5 minutes before our scheduled appointment time! I felt like Seinfeld in the reservation episode. Isn't the point of an appointment time to mean you have a reserved time you are to be sure you are there by? At any rate, the massage was not relaxing, at all. I felt I was being cheated and rushed when I should have been relaxing and I even told my masseuse Katie this. 18 minutes is a lifetime when paying for a relaxing service! Katie was great at what she was able to do, though. I know Nancy was then made aware and she attempted to make it right by giving us chocolate covered strawberries and glasses of champagne($50 value) during our wait for our facials. I appreciated the gesture, but would have preferred the whole massage session or an overall discount. Next was our nails(manicure) with Kim. Kim was so pleasant and eventually I started to be talked off the ledge internally. She actually took her time and did not rush. My nails looked fabulous, albeit they were not no chip. Perhaps I should have upgraded, as they were chipping 2 days later. Bummer. Last, we had our facials. Rachel was my esthetician and she was great. We had a good conversation and it was helpful that she advised me I should exfoliate more. When I was finished I waited in the wait room for my BFF. And waited. And waited. About 20-30 minutes later my friend finally came out. Apparently she was the one who received extra time for her facial in order to compensate for the shortened time of her massage? What the? I did not receive this perk.......Not cool. At any rate we wanted to still take advantage of the sauna...which wasn't really a sauna. It was more of some kind of infrared room? It wasn't very hot in it and we could not mess with the temp as it explicitly stated not to. I heard in other reviews the men actually get a sauna and steam room? Must be nice..... Paying $335 base rate with a 20% gratuity automatically added in($402 total) for a "relax" package that I did not feel relaxed with is not how I like to spend my hard earned money. Overall I was disappointed with my experience at the Arista Spa. I am unsure if I will return, which is unfortunate as I really enjoyed everything about the actual Hotel Arista. There were just too many stressful incidents experienced when "stress" should never be associated with a spa. read more

Nancy the manager told me that in order to repaint one (one!) toenail which got smeared after my pedicure I will be charged for the whole new pedicure! Ridiculous and unbelievable. Don't hope for relaxation - they allow phone conversations in salon. Nancy said constant talking and noise in salon is expected. Stil, with her full support of unpleasant and unrelaxing atmosphere she never bothered to call me after she promised to. My locker didn't open after my service until engineer came. My BF surprised me with a couples massage here for my birthday... The place is brand new and looked clean. The receptionist was very nice and sincere.. she knew my BF ( my BF was secretly planning my birthday events ), and was courteous explaining where to find the ladies and gents area... how the lockers work, and where me and my BF will meet... which was the lounge area.... I love the ladies shower area... its really clean... my robe was so thick and soft.... My BF and I met at the couples lounge area... and there were tea, nuts, chocolates to enjoy.... we stayed there for about 10-15 minutes, before our masseuse came and led us to the massage room. The massage room was breath taking... two soaking tubs, wine, cheese & chocolate platter.... yum... We had about 15 mins to relax, and boy... our aching bodies needed that!!! Then our masseuse came back and the massage was just phenomenal... the hot stone at the very end, was heavenly. The masseuse knew exactly what to do... its not just a massage. My BF and I felt so relaxed after. The masseuse gave us more than enough time to get up and head over back to the couples lounge area to finish our cheese, chocolate platter.... I LOVE LOVE how they made us feel special... and they made us feel that we can stay there for as long as we want. They even offered the sauna.... I love it when I don't feel rushed at all. My bridesmaids, mom, and I spent nearly a whole Saturday at the spa, all getting different treatments, to celebrate my bridal shower weekend. I mainly worked with Nancy, the manager, who went above and beyond to make sure that my bridal party and I were taken care of. She worked with me both before the weekend and the day of the event to make sure everything went smoothly. On the day of, Nancy consistently checked on my party to see if we needed any mimosa refills, brought food up from the hotel restaurant when the girls got hungry, and made sure each girl could get every service they wanted. The spa itself is so clean and absolutely beautiful. It provided such a special and relaxing environment for all of us to hang out in. The staff were all so kind and truly talented at what they do. This spa is AMAZING!!! First of all, I love love love that they accept SpaFinder gift cards. The receptionists were so nice & accommodating. There was a little mess up with my appointment (hey, it happens!) but Shana (that's probably spelled wrong... sorry!) was so nice & fixed everything! The relaxation room is everything. I would go there every day just to read if I could. There's locker rooms with nice robes/slippers, every amenity you can think of, and it's clean! It's pretty cool that each locker has resettable codes too! Going back to the relaxation room- it's amazing. Lemon water, cucumber water, waterfalls, a huge fireplace, snacks, tea, lounges.. It's just perfect okay?! The spa services did not disappoint. I got the oxygen facial which was amazing. My skin was glowing afterwards! I also got a few waxing services... Perfect. This was our first visit to Arista Spa and it most certainly will not be our last! Took my wife here for a couples massage for her birthday. Everyone we interacted with from the moment we walked in were so pleasant and accommodating. The facilities are top-notch and absolutely gorgeous with an Ancient Greek theme. We met our two massage therapists, Gaby and Amanda and they went over our areas that needed the most attention. We started off with a twenty minute soak in individual hot tubs to relax our muscles. Followed by a Heavenly sixty minute, full body massage. I highly recommend the hot stone treatment. My muscles were instantly relieved! It was fabulous! After the massage, they allow you to take full advantage of the rest of their facilities. The sauna, steam room and fully equipped showers with all the toiletries you need! So I bought my wife the Relax package as a gift which includes a massage, manicure, and pedicure. Wife schedules it out to have all services done in one visit. She goes to her scheduled appointment and receives the massage and then is told that her other services cannot be provided due not having the technicians available. Manager communicates that she will be taken care of on her next visit due to the inconvenience. When scheduling next visit, manager communicates the "taken care of" is a glass of champagne! THE WHOLE POINT OF THE VISIT WAS FOR MY WIFE TO HAVE A RELAXING AFTERNOON WITH ALL SERVICES TOGETHER! This is a $340 package plus I paid all gratuity in advance so nothing would have to be paid! Wife schedules the manicure and pedicures only. After the first service, my wife communicates that champagne was supposed to be provided to her. Manager communicates, "Oh" and gives her tea! After second services is done, manager communicates that $20 is owed. To my wife's credit, she communicates that it is absolutely not as everything was paid for in advance on the gift card. What should have been an afternoon of full services through the package and more than fair gratuities included of 20% prepaid, it turned out to be a horrible and unprofessional experience for her. The spa seems upscale, but compared to many of the spas I have been to, I felt that it is sorely lacking in amenities for the price. Because here's what I found out ladies - THE MEN'S LOCKER ROOM HAS MUCH, MUCH BETTER AMENITIES THAN THE LADIES'!!!! WHAT?!?! That's right. The men's locker room boasts a real sauna and steam room, while the ladies' has only a "infared sauna," which is just an eighty degree room with wooden benches. Why do the men get all the goodies? When I asked the receptionist, rather than just admitting it was F'ed, she got super defensive and snippy about it. I will say that the waiting room was beautiful and well appointed, and my massage was good. Unfortunately, my masseuse was in a lot of pain, and moving awkwardly in rubber shoes that squeaked on the floor with every pained step, so that was slightly irritating. Also, the products they have available for use are all VERY highly scented, with completely different scent profiles, so I didn't actually want to use the rosemary lemon shampoo with the bergamot ginseng conditioner(I'm making those up, I don't remember the actual scents.) Only one of the three showers is a rain shower, and washcloths are no where to be found. This spa missed the mark for me on many levels, but finding out that Men are given so much more for their money really burned me up. Until that detail is worked, I will not be giving this spa any more business, and I'm not too broken up about it. read more

I took the week off of work and spent it taking care of me. I had the best facial yesterday. Prices are steep but loved the massage techniques that was used because it helps remove the toxins. What a disappointment! My boyfriend got me a gift certificate here for Valentines Day and I was so excited. The massage was ok but extremely overpriced. That would've been fine but the receptionist was so rude. When I made the appointment they required a credit card number over the phone. When I said I wasn't comfortable doing that, they told me I couldn't come in without it. I tried to explain that I was paying with a gift certificate but that didn't matter. Later, when I was checking out after the massage, the receptionist was curt and made a snide comment about my gift certificate. Beautiful and relaxing place! We enjoyed the Signature Healing couples message and the whole experience was wonderful. The locker rooms are incredibly nice and have all the amenities you need before and after your message. They include a steam room, sauna, showers, lockers, necessities you may need and amenities to do your hair. Then you go into a room waiting for your message that includes a fireplace, teas and snacks. Prior to our message we enjoyed side by side soaking tubs for 20 min then a 60 min couples message. They give you a robe and slippers to wear- have showers, lockers and a tranquil room to relax in with flavored water, tea and snacks while you wait for your service to begin. I absolutely love Arista Spa & Salon. I went with three of my friends for a girls spa day and it was beyond our expectations. I will say that booking the actual reservations took some time and patience but the manager/staff could not have been more friendly during the process. It took some follow up and some back and forth but we were able to schedule two services per girl with no one having any downtime alone in between/before or after. When we arrived the morning of our appointments, we found out they recently decided to change their hours and were now closed on Monday's (they said it was temporary and I hope they add Monday's back soon because that is our preferred day for sure)! Because of this, we had the entire spa to ourselves which was such a treat! We got a tour of the facility before our services which was helpful to see what amenities we had available. The Spa itself is absolutely beautiful, very clean and modern. The robes were comfortable and the relaxation room was one of the best parts! It has a fireplace, comfy chaises, waterfall feature, tea, water, snacks, etc. They also have complimentary products including contact solution (my friend was very excited about that), Oribe hair styling products, lotions, hair dryers, etc. After some time in the relaxation room we moved on to our services. Between the four of us, we had massages (including one prenatal), facial, pedicure and haircut. Everyone had great things to say about all services! I started with the Revive and Refresh facial and highly recommend it! Jennifer was very enthusiastic about the process in describing my options and talking through my skin. The actual facial was relaxing (they aren't always) and my skin looked amazing afterward. She really took her time and I know stretched out my appointment because my friends were having longer services. She went so above and beyond and was SO nice! After, I had my massage with Julie. She asked ahead of time if I had any spots I wanted her to concentrate longer or any spots I wanted her to skip. She focused on the parts I asked her to and asked questions along the way to make sure I was comfortable so I couldn't ask for much more. The rooms and beds are also very comfortable with relaxing music and heated/adjustable beds. After we were all finished, we weren't rushed to leave at all even though they were technically closed! I cannot say enough about the staff and especially the managers. They were so incredibly nice and enthusiastic and beyond accommodating. My mother, sister and I came to the Salon for a relaxing day. While the facility is very nice, we did not have a good experience with our services. First of all, they did not follow the schedule they had provided to us through confirmation emails. This meant that my sister was not done until an hour after the other two of us. The most disappointing part to me was the massage. I got a 90 minute hot rock massage that I was very excited to enjoy. When the masseuse introduced herself to me she asked if I wanted any areas to be focused on. I stated I wanted her to especially spend time on my lower back and neck. Instead, she seemed to spend extra time on my legs and hardly any time on my neck and lower back. When the massage was over I though "that's it? What about my request." I let the person at the front desk know about my disappointment before I left and she asked me to a fill out a comment card, and indicated a manager would be in touch. I never a heard a thing. I was not looking for a refund, only recognition of my complaint. I will never return due to the disappointing massage and even more disappointing customer service. read more

The first time and after I scheduled it, it was a great experience the massage session. However to book or find an appointment was a nightmare and impossible. The person in charge of booking is arrogant, not helpful at all and very inflexible. I was looking to book 5 massage sessions for 5 persons, with 4 weeks in advance. Not support for it, very inflexible in the schedule even though they announce in the website the business hours are from 9am to 9pm. They don't work on Mondays, not available hours on Saturday evening. Sunday also they told me they are closed, so completely unsynchronized the narrow schedule the woman offers over the phone with what it mentions at the website. I felt that they don't care about the customer when I was asking for booking 5 massage sessions that by the way, they are not cheap at all and all the options are priced over $100. At least, because of the price I would expect a friendly and nice service, it was not my case and this is the third time that I called them because my mom wanted it as a birthday present. Crappiest massage ever I have taken and I am pretty regular with my massages. The masseuse made my sore areas worse Unfortunately I don't remember her name. She didn't have any massage strokes and unless I mentioned she did not apply any pressure and when she did she ended up hurting me She did not do anything on the soles of the feet or the palms When you pay this much you expect more than ambience and free tea Which by the way is the reason for two stars The lady at the front desk tried compensating for it with a discount or a free service but really...do you think I'm gonna go for another crappy service just because it's free Definitely not worth the time and money read more

I booked a full day at the spa for my birthday this past week. I was there from 11-5 and it was one of the most relaxing experiences I have had in a long time. I requested the Reset Package with a pedicure added. When I entered the spa, my experience was greeted with a smile and professionalism by the young lady at the front desk. I wish I could remember her name The day started with Stacey who did my aroma massage and sole soother. She had just the right amount of pressure and my feet were in heaven. Next up was my facial with Jamie. I really enjoyed the tips she gave about my skin and the facial itself was wonderful. My skin felt like a new baby's butt :-) She also was fun to chat with and last but not least was my manicure and pedicure with Kim. She and I exchanged stories about travels, food, holidays and so on. She gave me tips for my dry cuticles and did everything with care. Had a couples massage here and the tub soak was very nice but in no way was this couples massage worth $500.00 They didn't even want to give us the champange and snack board it was supposed to come with. I had to ask for it and they said it wasn't listed as that massage package. After the massage they brought us the champange and chocolate strawberries instead of the snack board to eat in the relaxation room. Why would that be a place that is comfortable to eat and drink when you are laying in chais. I would of thought it would be something for the tub soak. Massage was nothing special, it wasn't any better than something you get at Heavenly massage and for a lot less money. read more
