This shop is a bit disorganized, but overall the concept is great. I am glad it is an option to help shelter pets. The staff was not particularly friendly when I went, but it may have been an off day. They do have lots of variety in one small location. I shop at this store a lot now. I had not been back for a couple years because I moved away from the area. I find some really nice items and the prices are good. They have a 20% discount almost every day. Remember these people are volunteers not employees. I have had some people be on the more rude side but it is probably because they are there a lot and get tried of dealing with people who do not read etc. I have done customer service for a very long time. I will say it does take the right personality to be nice every day all the time. Some people have their heart in the right place by wanting to volunteer but they do not do well in a retail customer service environment. I got there early and someone dropped off donations at the door and a long dark hair guy came out and threw the donations it in the trash without even looking at them, I was shocked so I went and looked in the dumpster and there was so many nice items people had donated just thrown in there and it was full! I'm shocked! This is for the animals and they're just throwing it away! Wow shame on them! read more

** November 2021 Visit ** My friend and I were on the thrift hunt and after visiting five thrift shops that day I had low expectations on this shop as well. Nevertheless, I decided to give it a shot since it was on the list. Boy! Was I glad that I came! The volunteer welcomed us as we entered and explained that the first three racks at the front were donations from My Sister's Closet (a local consignment shop). My guess is that they were out of season items that just didn't sell, but were all mid-high tier items all in very good condition. Some of the brands included Lacoste, Maxwell, Banana Republic, J Crew, and Free People. I think all clothes in the store was $4 plus a 20% discount - and the items in the front rack were all in very very good condition. However, my best find were a pair of Jimmy Choos (granted I will need to get the heels resoled, but for $2 - I'll take it!) Not sure if they have a regular partnership wit My Sister's Closet but I definitely grabbed some great stuff! They have a 50% off promotion on Black Friday, so I may be back! PS. They also have another room filled with household goods, cat play towers, and random knick knacks if that's your jam. This store is one of the worst thrift stores in the valley everything is priced at resell prices and most of it is all junk. I have never walked out there with anything because of the pricing might as well buy it online knowing that the items work. They sell all the "goods items on eBay, the selection is not good, it's dirty and very unorganized I have been told it is all picked through by employees and owner to resell online. I really like Tyler and the curly brown haired thin woman who is constantly working and thermally nice guy with beard who seems to be in charge, but I swear, that blonde lady and the guy who is there on Tuesdays, makes me not want to ever go there again. I came for a pet door as was sold a dog door that was effective. Once the payment went through I realized the one I bought was not the same size. I'd bought it for the hardware. I asked to return and he very unkindly pointed the sign and said no. Sometimes it's okay to be kind to people. I was already having a simply devastating day. read more

It's a great thrift shop. The prices are fair and they have great turnover. However, the volunteers are rude. Every time I check out I feel like they judge me by what I buy which I know sounds crazy but on top of that they're just flat out rude and cold. At least say hello. read more

I lived in Phoenix for years and would browse around and usually find something I couldn't live without. I also donated a lot of stuff that was given to me. It is for a great cause and now with Covid many people who are facing eviction may just end up dumping their pets. I would save my pennies and nickels all year and around Christmas time, I would bring in a jar full for the "donation jar" and the girls always seemed to remember me, I have since retired (3 years ago) and moved to Montana and although we have a couple of animal shelters here, they are not as friendly as the Humane Society. I am ready to cash in my pennies and nickels and send them a check. I have also advised my friends who INSIST on giving me something for Christmas to instead MAKE A DONATION IN MY NAME to the thrift store. Big thumbs down. This used to be hands-down the best place to go. Great prices and awesome items. Now they have raised the prices, lowered the discounts, and are taking any good items for themselves to sell on eBay. Do not waste your time. I know many people who no longer even bother with this junk and don't come as well. What we call, "Old dead people's stuff" is all they have now. If they weren't so greedy and didn't keep all the good things for themselves, they would sell a lot of volume and do much better for the community. All on the manager(s). Great finds! Plenty of parking but it seems to fill up fast on the weekends. I stopped by on Saturday and scored some great items. They have a good variety of brands in the clothing and shoes. Lots of different sizes. Everything seemed to be in good condition. There was a section for housewares and furniture that I didn't see but I came back on Sunday to check out what I missed. I ended up buying more clothes on Sunday. Unfortunately I was over charged $6. The cashier put a skirt off to the side and I didn't understand why and I asked if they were a different price, she said no she just put it on the side. Then I saw her ring up $2 when she put it in the bag even though the clothes were $1.50. There was also a charge of $4 for houseware even though I didnt buy anything houseware. I asked how much the shoes where and she said $3. Once I got the receipt I saw another charge on my receipt for $4.50 with 25% off. So I don't know what happened there. I noticed she didn't ask me if I wanted to donate anything so maybe she just added to the extra charges since the few people that were ahead of me where all saying no. I really don't know where the overcharges came from but since its for a good cause I'll let it go as a "donation" amount. But in the future I will be adding everything up before I get to the cash register. read more

This is my favorite thrift store! The concept itself is great, I'm helping the Humane Society to keep its doors open while still getting great deals for myself. The selection is amazing. One of the times I was there the guy said that another high-end consignment store was owned by someone who donates most of their unused or unsold clothes to the store. This was my first trip to the Cave Creek store to drop off my donations - and probably my last. My car trunk was full of large items like blankets, a bedspread, a duvet, an upright floor steam cleaner, etc. along with multiple smaller items. I commented it would be nice if someone could help me bring things in. I was told they couldn't do that and it was suggested I take a shopping cart out, which I did. (at least the door was held open when I came back) I had my itemized list with pricing and asked for several blank donation forms. I was given several. I asked if one was signed to go with today's donations. The man was very unfriendly and as he signed one muttered under his breath it must be the full moon and handed back both the original and carbon. This is by far the best thrift store in the Phoenix area. First, all proceeds go to helping the animals and the employees are extremely nice to everyone. Additionally, there is room to walk around, the items are very affordable, and the weekend sales make it fun to hunt for deals. The merchandise is often near new, coming from various retail and consignment stores as donations. If you are in need or know someone in need of new clothing for a job interview or furniture, this is your place. Great hidden gem, but probably not for long as it seems to be more crowded every time we go. It's a fairly small space, but they make efficient use of it. I've found several nice clothing items and shoes here and my mom has picked up some great furniture for a steal. It's a pretty big space with room to walk around and take in the merchandise. I was there on Sunday which is the "All Clothes Are $1.00" day. Got some good deals on Nordstrom, Ben Sherman and Brooks Brothers shirts. Some small electrical DIY stuff too. The big electronics area was pretty full but nothing I couldn't live without. If you're looking for artwork they had a ton. Not just prints but the real deal oils , acrylics, water colors and drawings. Staff was nice and they were working hard. The only thing that kept it from being a 5 star day were the unattended children playing freeway crash with the desk chairs in the back of the store. I realize the staff was pretty busy but someone needs to do a walk through when they can and keep that under control. God forbid the parents actually do their job.
