I came to this shopping center while exploring Mexicali with the girlfriend. This mall is…read moredefinitely big, has a ton of variety, and is no where near extinction that malls in the US are going through. First off, what this mall is not... it is not Plaza Peninsula (TJ), Antara (Cdmx), nor Andares (Gdl). However, it is a place where you can shop for everyday items at stores such as Sears. There is quite a variety of food options, of which we decided on Subway. I know, not very adventurous of us as far as food for this mall, but most of the other options didn't really interest us. The service at most stores is pretty decent, especially in the bigger chain stores. But decent service can also be found in the mom and pops type of places (my girlfriend went to a hair salon here, and they were nice people). If you're looking for value, this may be a good place to go. Save for the parking, you have to pay for it. But the fare is not high at all. This is a decent mall, busy when we came here, and staffed by friendly people.

They have so many bags and what I loved about that section is that they are organized by size and colors. There is a lot of stuff and again very organized. I can't say anything negative other than I would hope they would have more shoe sizes for sizes 5-6/30. It's a smaller section but I also know they are more of a common size. I would be going back soon.

This location is pretty well organized even on the busiest of weekends! They have air conditioners scattered around the store to help keep the clients cool during these hot summer days. The lines do get ridiculously long. On the day I went shopping, the line extended passed the womens dress clearance rack. However, the employees were working quickly & efficiently to get the line moving. It took a while but that's just how it is with these great value stores! I did not mind the wait & although the line was long it did move rather quickly! One thing I didn't appreciate about this El Centro…read morelocation was twice I asked for help but the staff member didn't have a clue as to what I said, or how to tell me in English what I needed to know. I could see in their eyes that they had a genuine desire to help me. I stopped in to buy myself a souvenir hat from El Centro, and to browse about to see if they had anything useful for my car. The hat selection was very limited. Mostly Ball caps, and those beanies closely resembling the Old Navy watch caps. They also had a bucket hat, but it's pastel color wasn't for me. i was hopping to find a golf hat. I ended up buying a ball cap with a US flag on it and a phone holder that attaches to the mirror. This will be useful for times when I use my phone as a GPS or watching movies when parked. The gal at the checkout spoke English and checked me out quickly and accurately. I don't think she cared about me coming to Ross to buy a souvenir hat. Which I felt was a dollar more than I anticipated. The did have a better selection of men's ballcaps than Walmart had. And a far better deal on the phone holder. I probably would have shopped around a bit longer but I started getting hungry. When a i couldn't find white Fruit of the Loom briefs. I decided not to seek help with the staff since twice before I was unsuccessful at getting the help I needed, so I decided to go to Del Taco for lunch. Then the security started pulling people from…read morebehind me speaking to them in Spanish and telling them that they could use self check out on the other side and then when I kept saying, excuse me, excuse me in English, asking if we could pay over there since he was pulling people from behind me to go to self check out he didn't answer and then another employee told me. Yes you can pay over there I paid and then as I was leaving the security guard wanted to speak to me in English and asked me for my receipt and then dug in my bag to look at the items and pull one out. never in my life have I ever experienced this. Come on El Central Ross you need to do better.
