Update as of 9/19/2018: This update in review is thanks to the terrible experience I had with this company during my recent trip. My flight arrived on schedule and I barely had to wait 10minutes for my bag. That's where I ran out of luck. Granted it's not much, I walked the length of the Tucson airport, convinced I was missing something as I couldn't find the Stagecoach airport kiosk that was always there during past visits. I found a phone number on the email confirmation of my reservation and was pleasantly surprised when a real person answered the call immediately and asked where I was waiting in the airport and told me to stay put ( in front of baggage claim) and inquired what I was wearing so as to convey to the driver who would meet me in 5minutes. Well the "5minutes" turned to 1.5 HOURS... during which I made multiple calls to this number inquiring about the whereabouts of the driver who was to meet me. What was most infuriating was the fact that on my last call, the person answering the phone HUNG up on me, the minute I identified myself... never have I received such poor customer support... Finally when I saw a stagecoach vehicle pull up across the street, I walked over to it and inquired to the driver. He asked me to please go back into the airport. By then there was quite a few others also waiting - in another part of the airport. The driver called the company to ask if he can take us to the hotel as we were all attending the same conference at a local hotel. And while clarifying the names of the customers he had with him, he clearly said I was the customer waiting for over an hour as he left early on his previous trip. And even after saying this aloud much to the shock of not just me, but all our fellow passengers, there was not even the slightest hint of an apology!! It was incredibly frustrating to know that this driver and whoever he was talking to knew fully well that they left a passenger waiting at the airport and nobody had the basic courtesy to inform me that the next shuttle will be over 1.5 hours out. If they had at least conveyed an accurate ETA for the next shuttle, I could have grabbed a quick bite and used the restroom at the airport... instead I was left hanging. I only wanted to cancel my reservation and get an uber to my destination and even that was not possible as I could get a hold of them to cancel my booking. After reaching my destination, I had to call them multiple times every day for THREE days straight, before I received my refund. Never will I make the mistake of using this company and will highly recommend NOT using their unreliable services to anyone hoping to reach their destination on time. read more

Nightmare. I recommended this service Tucson to Mesa, and regret it. Driver was 45 minutes late. She apparently had another passenger. It turned out the delay was picking up her daughter. She didn't know the quickest route, called her Father for directions! But there were more delays: She had to stop for gas! My Husband almost didn't make his flight (not another for 3 days ) Driver told him "not to have a heart attack". He's 79 years old. The stress really almost did him in. The manager has not returned my calls. I wanted an explanation of this debacle. read more

We hired Stagecoach to pick us up at our home in Tucson and take us to Mesa Gateway Airport on April 27. The first driver, Mike, was very nice but told us he was taking us to the Circle K in Marana to be picked up by "your Mesa Gateway driver". We waited there for a bit and "Dennis" pulled in. We got in the van and then he had to "get gas" before we left. We felt that was unprofessional, he should of taken care of that before he picked us up. Before we even left the gas station we almost hit another car, that was just the beginning of the worst trip I have ever (thank God) lived through. This man has NO business transporting potatoes let alone humans. He tailgated the cars ahead of us just terribly and ended up hitting his brakes numerous times almost hitting them! He was fumbling around with paperwork on the center console while driving 85mph on I-10 which was very unnerving AND dangerous. We seriously were afraid we were going to be in an accident before we ever got to the airport. Driving speeds of 85-90 on I-10 (and tailgating at those speeds) had us completely unhinged. Once off the expressway going through town he continued to speed and tailgate. Often a light would turn red and he sped up then ended up hitting the brakes hard. I wouldn't recommend ANYONE using this company if this is the kind of driver they hire. I was so shook by the time we got to the airport I threw up after getting there! NEVER AGAIN! Avoid these guys if you can. What an incompetent and rude set of folks who simply don't seem to care how their business needs to be run. Stated times for pickups are rarely met and when you do find a shuttle of theirs, it would in all probability be waiting to pack their vehicle with more passengers from following flights. I had a situation with a pick up being made a good two hours after my flight landed and the reason given by the driver was that he "forgot" about the pick up and left early !!!! How much more incompetent can it get than that. The number provided for customer service cam hardly be reached. It either goes to voice mail or they hang up on you. Truly unprofessional. I found that the discounted rates provided for various reasons are not too far away from more deterministic rates and service provided by the likes of Über and Lyft. I honestly wish they improve fast and by a whole lot otherwise it would be a sad situation of a business losing customers by the bunch. read more

We started out our journey with a driver who couldn't figure out how to close the rear door of the passenger van. He continuously tried slamming the door literaly 20 to 30 times over a 5 minute period before deciding that the door was broken. After a 10 to 15 minute delay we were tranfered to a different van and a driver who preceeded to drop us off at the hotel Arizona. Unfortunantly our reservation was for the Arizona Inn. Not having visited Tuscon before we were unaware that we had been dropped off at the wrong location. This required an addition $20 taxi ride in order to get to our proper destination. Needless to say, we have canceled our return trip to the airport with their company. I would rather walk, ride a bike or travel by horse rather than use The Arizona Stagecoach again. Epic Fail! Two incompetent drivers, dereliction of duty, had no idea the gameplan was to simply return guests to their hotel 3.9 mi away. Many of my out of town wedding guests left to fend for themselves using local cabs. They refunded my money, but too bad these guys will forever be remembered as the only thing I wish i had done differently on my wedding night. Proceed with caution fellow yelpers! read more

Why would anyone choose this outfit instead of using Uber or Lyft? Stagecoach stuffs as many riders on a van and then takes them to their individual homes. You can get a tour of Pima County and sit in an uncomfortable van seat for hours! Disclosure: I was a contractor for Stagecoach back in 08. Between the recession and really poor company management, I lost my shirt. There may have been some justification for this outfit in the old days, but in today's world of the internet and Lyft & Uber, this is just an outmoded business. read more

This company is so incompetent don't ever use them. For 72 dollars they picked me up an hour late for the ride to the airport with a van that was running on empty and a tire light going off.. then to top it all off. After 19 hours of flying home they said they made an error on there scheduled and wouldn't be able to pick me up till after 1:30 ,AM It was 9:50. PM. I arranged three weeks ahead for a pick up from the Tucson airport. Driver was supposed to be waiting for us at baggage claim but was no where to be seen. I called and was told he was 10 minutes out. 20 minutes later he arrived and led us to an old rattletrap of a van that smelled of smoke. Won't use them again. read more

I just had the BEST driver. Jean Publicover was knowledgeable about how to get to the airport quickly, drove safely, and was so pleasant and charming for the duration of our drive. I've never had a bad driver with AZ Stagecoach, but Jean was so exemplary I had to rave about him! read more

Great experience, the service was good. We arrived in Tucson and the customer service area to check in was right next to the baggage claim. They knew I was checking in and the driver was ready to go. They make sure everyone who is riding is there before taking off. The drivers were good and I'd say the departing driver was more talkative then the first one. read more

Arranged a shuttle service for my wife and son. Pickup date was 5-10-18 approx. 11:30 PM at Tucson Airport. Made reservation over the phone several days prior with "Lloyd" who took all my information. I paid via credit card. Was instructed to call once the plane landed and they would meet them at the baggage pickup. We called.......... but was told they have no record of my reservation and that there was no one available to pick them up. These guys do not know what they are doing. We have always used AZ stagecoach for many years BUT the service has dropped way down. The last few times we used them they were always on time for picking us up at our home but the 2 times they were not at the airport to pick us up the we had to wait for 1.5 hours for a driver to get to the airport the 2nd time was even worse we landed at 5:15 and no driver again our flight was delayed for 1 hour and because they couldn't get in touch with us (no cell service in plane) they blew us off I guess they don't have time to check flights to see if they are on time. I called as soon as we landed and the dispatcher said they could not get in touch with us and said they couldn't wait for us well I didn't expect them to wait that 1 hour but you would think they would check on the status of the flight. Nope they just blew us off and when I did call they said it was my fault for not calling them about the delay, anyways the shuttle got there a 1 1/2 later and we had to wait for another pick up that wasn't due for 1/2 hour to make a long story short it took us longer to get to our house 25 away than it took us to fly from Chicago, total time of transportation from airport to our house 25 miles away was 4 hours we learned our lesson read more

I made the awful decision to use Arizona Stagecoach for a trip to the Tucson Airport. I had no idea I was paying someone to endanger my life the way that this driver did. He made erratic lane changes on the highway, resulting in quite a few horns being blown. He cut off an 18wheeler. When we finally got close to the airport, he made a right-turn onto the airport road from the left lane of a three lane (plus turn lane) road. I will never ever use this company again. I value my life far too much to leave it up to this caliber of driver. read more

Where to begin--the debacle at pick up or the horrid customer service? Driver was supposed to arrive at 3 p.m. to pick up my daughter. We both started calling about 3:20 to inquire as to what was going on. Phone response was non-existent, delayed or rude (or all of the above). We were both misinformed about timing and called again when the driver still hadn't arrived. 45 minutes after the scheduled time, he arrived. Here's where it gets interesting: 1) the black van was unmarked (i.e. no external signage) 2) no internal signage 3) no proof of insurance inside, no registration and no permit displayed. We suspect that they botched the pick up and didn't have a van so they sent a private vehicle. Yes, I have filed a complaint with AzDOT (Vehicle for Hire Licensing). I called to cancel the return trip and inquire about a refund after this distressing incident. They "graciously" agreed to "refund" me for the fare I didn't use, but wouldn't budge on the potentially fraudulant ride that did occur. The defensive woman I spoke with said something about no time to add signage to the van (a violation for livery vehicles, lady) and made a fuss about traffic and closures near the pick up, which my daughter refuted. Fake News! Read the reviews--HORRIBLE SERVICE AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. They don't care about their customers or reputation, but maybe they'll care about the Arizona Dept. of Transportation. So happy my daughter documented this unprofessional ride so I could submit photos along with my complaint! Less than 0 stars. read more

Made a reservation a month ago to get picked up at airport. Arrive no car and told we have to wait and hour and a half because they are BUSY picking other people up. I have used Arizona Stagecoach a number of times. When getting picked up from home for a run to the airport they are always on time and very courteous. However, I would NOT recommend them for late night transport from the airport. When I arrived they only had one driver at night, and the wait would have been 1/2 to 3/4 of an hour (and I only live 30 minutes from the airport) because of waiting for another passenger. Though I paid for a R/T they then only refunded a portion of the payment (charging me a one-way price for my original trip). I was home via taxi before their driver probably ever left the airport. DO NOT use them if arriving off-hours. read more

I needed transportation for about 20 wedding guests to our venue and back, and the options pretty much came down to these guys and Arizona Shuttle. (We also looked at Sierra Transportation but they seem geared for bigger crowds and bigger budgets.) Arizona Shuttle didn't reply to my web form and I was unimpressed with the BS-y reply I got when I emailed (warning me that they were going to book up any minute, three months in advance; yeah right). We decided to give AZ Stagecoach a shot and they worked out fine. I appreciated their straightforward and prompt replies, and Ronda in Marketing who we worked with was friendly and seemed genuinely on our side (despite the awkwardness when I asked her if she had any rebuttal to the negative Yelp reviews), helping determine the most reasonable service to book to meet our needs and budget. I never actually laid eyes on the vans myself, but our guests got to the wedding and back just fine, and the one guest I mentioned it in passing to said it was fine, on time, etc. I do appreciate that the gratuity was included in the cost, so the guests and I didn't have to worry about it on the day of. My only complaints are that their booking system or data entry procedures may be a little iffy; I got more than one email reservation confirmation that showed the wrong time, though it was corrected swiftly when I spoke to our contact person. Also apparently it's procedure to call and confirm the reservation the day before, which I found pretty unwelcome while I was busy spending the day before doing my wedding rehearsal and generally being otherwise occupied. tl;dr: worth a shot read more

If you plan on bringing a pet, apparently you need to call the company in advance, as the online form to make a reservation has no spot for this. The driver was nice, but the website should be more clear about the pet policies as well as the extra cost (taking a pet adds on another $30). read more

I have been a customer of Arizona Stagecoach for years. Most recently was on 23 June. The drivers are great. For my trip on 1 July, I called and left a message with Manager Michelle on 27 June, following prompter, and I heard no reply at all. At the recommendation of their answering service, I went to their website to make a reservation. "System Update in Progress - Please come back later" was on the screen for days. Even as their answering service persisted in recommending their quick website reservation service, the status of their website has not changed. So I call 889-1000 again today. I was caller No. 5, so I waited for more than an hour, I was still caller No. 2. So, I resulted writing this commend: Totally dis-functional! Disappointing at the least! Be careful what you pay for. I called to reserve round trip travel to and from the Tuson airport. I had used AZ Stagecoach in the past and was dismayed when my trip involved stopping out in the desert down a dirt road and waiting for someone to "share" my ride. They didn't come out until they felt like it and we were lucky to make our flight. So.......... The next time I called to book a "private" ride round trip. Note: You cannot do this on line and their web site is very, very vague on what exactly your transportation includes. I was told it was $188 round trip including tip which I put on a credit card. Our trip to the airport was uneventful but when we returned from 28 hours of travel we were informed that we would be sharing a ride home and we proceeded to make stops all over Tucson and a 40 minute ride home turned into a 1 1/2 hour marathon. Needless to say we were disappointed. Use someone else who is more honest and upfront with charges and services. read more

Driver was great. However I was surprised with a $30 "cleaning fee" for my small dog. I've taken this service many times before and was never told there was a dog fee. I will not use this service again. The driver was late picking me up, then complained about how late he was to me. I've used it in the past without difficulty, but this time we spent an additional hour picking ppl up for the airport and I was late checking in for my flight. They recommend 2 hours prior and I scheduled pickup for 2 1/2 hours prior. Between him being late and the additional stops, I ended up checking in with only 20 minutes to spare. That's stressful. On the return trip, they said I had to wait for other flights to get in, so I would be stuck at the airport for another 2 hours! This was after a total travel time of 14 hours, including layovers. I cancelled and took a cab. Discount Cab charged me about the same as Stagecoach was going to charge and provided better service. He even helped me with my luggage, something Stagecoach has never done. read more

We were very pleased with our 2 trips with Arizona Stagecoach from the ease of making our reservations with helpful staff through the arrival at our destinations. All of our contact with this company has been with helpful, friendly folks. One time they were unclear on where to pick us up but called us right away to clarify exactly where we would be. The vehicles were clean and comfortable. I enjoyed learning about Tucson from the driver along the way to our hotel. We feel like we have a reliable friend who is available to get us where we need to go and on time. Thanks Arizona Stagecoach and we will see you next time we travel to Tucson. read more

Not worth the One Star but yelp make you star there . Please! never use this shuttle Service. My experience upon arrival at Tucson Airport they got me to my destination OK and was very Happy. My return pickup the dispatcher called me 2 hours before my pickup and informed me the shuttle could not pick me up. I missed my plane and had to pay for change fees on my ticket, missed my business meeting. They don't seem to care about customers nor the impact of their decisions. read more

My epic tale/review: I arrived at Tuscon International Airport around 10pm on a Friday night without a way to get to the Ritz Carlton Dove Mountain, which was a 50 minute drive away! I had planned to take a cab, but I spotted a kiosk which included information about the Arizona Stagecoach as an option for ground transport. I picked up the phone and the lady quoted me $140 for a roundtrip, which sounded a lot better than the $90 one-way fares I was seeing online for a taxi. The counter was conveniently located in the baggage claim area and I paid for a round trip up front. I only waited about 5 minutes before the driver came to collect me and another passenger. I got to see a bit of the University of Arizona when he dropped her off, and then we headed off into the dark, isolated neighborhood that is Dove Mountain. I was a little nervous but felt that it would have been much scarier in a cab on my own... he dropped me off around 11pm and I was so grateful that I tipped him $20. They called me the next day to confirm an 11am pick-up on Sunday (for a 2pm flight). Because of Hurricane Sandy, the second leg of my flight was canceled one hour prior to pick up, and I freaked out and called to postpone my shuttle ride. When I called back to tell them that I wanted to make my flight after all, they were very understanding and updated the driver. He still showed up on time at 11am, somehow. My friend was going to join me on the trip back to the airport, but he had booked a taxi during my travel crisis and decided to wait for his own ride. As it turned out, the taxi dispatcher sent a taxi to the Ritz in Phoenix and my friend almost missed his flight... he was sorry for not coming with me earlier! The driver made two other pick-ups on the way to the airport and I got there in plenty of time to rebook my flight home. According to the Ritz, the chance of getting a cab out there is 50/50 because of the remote location, and I'm glad my ride worked out so smoothly!!! This is totally the way to go if I ever return to Tuscon. I'm sorry the other yelpers had such bad experiences, but I was very satisfied with Arizona Stagecoach! read more

The worst experience ever -don't buy a round trip! I did awhile back and what a hassle - I called to make my return reservation and was told I already used it and add to that they said I was a no show. I said no way and asked when etc and they said in June when I was t even in Tucson! I also explained I moved from the address they said I used. It took 3 calls and 4 days for a supervisor to call me back now that I'm in Canada (so I had to get a ride to the airport) to argue with me - telling me I did call them in June - twice - she said once to make a reservation and once to move it. .I said no you're mistaken - I did not call you in June - I'm only calling you now in mid September to make my rerun reservation. But to no avail. Worst part was I remember vaguely someone calling ME about a pick up but I thought it was a wrong number. But the testy supervisor said 'well you should have called us back so we knew it was wrong." Like it was my responsibility. That they mixed up someone's order. Are you joking? I want my money back for the bother half of the round trip. If corporate is reading this please take note. I will be writing a letter when I'm back from my trip and give you my new address! read more

Like other reviews, they scheduled the pickup 15 minutes later than requested, then arrived another 15 minutes after that. At another pick-up they couldn't find the passenger. In all 40 minutes late. Way overpriced at $28 for ride to mid-town Tucson. $20, maybe, but why is it more expensive than Los Angeles and Burbank shuttles which took me to farther distances? Crazy!
