I know this happens when people are all gathering from different locations and coexisting but this place has bedbugs. And it's pretty bad.

Nice campus, small class sizes, good professors, but not a lot of activity around the campus.

Way better than dealing with the Tempe campus. Feels like a community college. Better for adults.

This review is based on the fact that I am an employee of the College. I work at the Pecos Campus,…read morebut every time I visit the Williams Campus I am impressed by how nice it is. The campus is small, but it is very well maintained. The employees are helpful, kind, and professional. They have some good programs out there, and I have heard that people really like to work there. I am a big supporter of all of our Maricopa Community Colleges. Great way to take classes for less money, and I believe that the instructors are more caring and involved.

Taking a couple of classes online with this particular college and having to register in person at…read morethe campus reminded me why I opted to go straight into university (rather than spend 2 years at a community college to begin with). The advisor I dealt with was nice. The guy who ran the math placement tests was nothing short of kind and SUPER helpful. However, there are other areas of this college that fall short. The financial aid/"financial services" people in particular are just awful. I came in one day to get them to sign something so I could have a consortium agreement between this college and the university I actually attend. First day I tried I started with the advisor and the math placement test afterwards. I intended to go to financial aid for a signature afterwards, only to find them closed. Yet the hours on their website state that they're open 8 am to 6 pm. This is NOT true whatsoever. I finally caught someone on another day. They refused to sign the agreement unless I set up a payment plan for the community college, or I could come back later. I mentioned how they're never here even though they have set hours and the lady I spoke to was just miserable. She was extremely rude and said "well we don't always have someone working all day, those are just our general hours". Uh, what? How hard is it to either abide by the hours or update the hours to say you guys are only there for X hours a day rather than wasting everybody's time? The financial services aside, the professors here were not so great at communication. I had a professor not respond to an email for several days. The course was automatically set up for her and everything was automatically graded except for discussion boards and extra credit. Yet it was still hard for her to simply respond to emails in a somewhat timely manner (I had to email her two follow ups before she finally replied), grade the discussion boards (my professor waited until the very end of the course to finally grade our discussion boards), etc. I'm just grateful I'm a proactive student because I can't imagine how much other students may struggle in courses where professors are non-existent. I've also heard other horror stories about financial services/aid here so that's nothing new. I'm just grateful I was only taking a couple of classes and that I won't have to take any classes here again.

Recently my 15 year old grandson, Nathan, experienced pain and swelling in his jaw. His regular…read moredentist said Nathan must be seen by a specialist. When his mother told me about this, I suggested she try the dental school- she knows I have had exceptional care at A. T. Still. Nathan was treated with incredible kindness and a biopsy taken. Dr. Suarez has consulted with me in the past. When she entered the treatment area I felt an enormous sense of relief. Dr. Suarez has an unusually calming and encouraging presence and I could see Nathan responding very positively. It was amazing to see him relax and immediately trust her. On the way home he told me that he wanted to go back to the school for any further treatment. This is a kid who never really expresses much in the way of preferences, so I had to smile. Yesterday I saw Dr. Suarez for a follow-up consultation regarding my own previous surgery. After a tumor removal in 2013 I have been watchful in case it returned (as I was told that might happen.) Dr. Suarez was, once again, extremely impressive. She was incredibly thorough and explained in detail why there were no concerning issues. She took the time to review the surgical notes I had forwarded to the school. Dr. Suarez did not have to do that...she could have just done what she does in terms of observation and assessment. But she heard what I said about a recurrence. Knowing I was concerned, she found the original notes and explained in detail why the kind of event I experienced did not recur. Hoping this information is helpful to others in deciding on dental care. While the appointments may take more time to allow oversight by teachers, I have never had less than profoundly excellent care at this school.

There was no sense of responsibility and I could not handle it (it wasn't the first time)and just pulled her out of the school as I figured management would do nothing. I had issues prior to that with updates from the teacher and asked for a classroom change but was denied. Some teachers are extremely good and really cares and unfortunately we were not blessed with one. Kids in other classes gets lots of picture updates but I did. We did not love our teacher. They won't share a curriculum. You just pay the fees and assume your kid is learning a ton. They would simply tell we have 13 kids to care and they were busy. My kid hardly got 2 photos a month and the other teacher sends 25 photos a week for a child who comes half a day. So it is really the teacher! BIG NO

I…read morecan't speak for all the programs, but I am very disappointed with the Cosmetology and Aesthetics vocational programs that are currently supported by with the state. It just feels like they have added teachers and classes due to demand, but the training is sub par and they don't even have enough classrooms to accommodate all the enrolled students. I wholeheartedly support vocational schools and charters, but in my opinion these programs are currently not providing the instruction or hands-on skills students will need to be successful in the areas my child/children were enrolled. I would look elsewhere and avoid them waiting 2 years only to have to enter a school that requires tuition in the end anyways. I also think it's luck of the draw with teachers. Some are better than others... Our 2025 experience was very poor and when your students are spending more time watching HULU, Netflix, and movies than receiving instruction I believe it's a waste of time. I also hear that the State of Arizona pays EVIT ~$8k per student and they get paid for the full year as long as the student is still enrolled on 9/30. They may be more apt to listen to your concerns and make it appear they are working to address concerns up until that date, but after that they really don't care because their received their funding for the year. My recommendation is do your own homework and talk to your students. There appear to be some good options out there and new schools popping up out there to address the need that don't come with a huge price tag that may be better for preparing learners to actually entering the workforce.
