My major problem is with their call center/scheduling. They are very rude and disrespectful. However, the front staff and the doctors at Arizona urology specialist are very kind and extremely knowledgeable. I came in for low T and my doctor wasn't wanting to just give me supplements and push me out the door. I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel it's important to share my experience so others know what to expect. Wait times at this office are extremely long -- during my first visit, I waited over an hour. When I asked the front desk about it and mentioned my doctor, Dr. Nagpal, I was told this was "pretty normal." One staff member even shared that they had seen over 200 patients in one day, which made me feel more like a number than a patient. On another visit, I witnessed a patient repeatedly asking when they would be seen because their appointment was taking so long. Eventually, they canceled their appointment altogether and said they would not be returning. After my procedure, Dr. Nagpal seemed very rushed when answering my questions and even looked at his watch while we were talking, which made me feel that my concerns were not a priority. My biggest concern, however, is that the office lost my medical records. I initially faxed them, but they said they never received them, so we brought physical copies instead. The office later called to confirm they had the records, yet after my most recent procedure, the doctor stated he had not received them. When I asked for the records back, I was told they could not locate them -- and they still have not been able to find them. Between the long waits, feeling rushed, and the mishandling of important medical records, my experience was very disappointing. I wish I had read the Yelp reviews before coming here. read more

Came here to get a PSA test. Clerical staff kept asking for a copy of my drivers license and I kept declining because there's absolutely no medical purpose to get that information. It's basically the new equivalent of a social security card since they can't ask for that anymore. When I told them I do not wish to provide that information, the girl said I would have to reschedule for the next available appointment in 2 months! When I pulled out my phone camera, started recording her, and asked 'can you please confirm you are denying me medical care because I've declined to provide a copy of my drivers license?' she got up and went into the office behind her to speak to someone. When she came out they were suddenly, magically, able to honor my appointment. About 2 - 3 months latter I get a certified letter saying they've been trying to contact me because my results came back high and I might have cancer! I received absolutely no calls or emails. Please read this and other reviews. I've been a patient here for a few years. The medical care WAS great for a little bit. BUT, that's where it stops. The front office/admin is a joke. Everything is routed through a call center, who is a go between the actual office. Rescheduling, getting a hold of anyone in the office, etc. is an absolute nightmare. Was just on the phone with them 30 minutes for a simple follow up to a voicemail they left.... couldn't get a straight answer from anyone. I would seek care elsewhere. read more

Their new location is 2902 W Agra Fria freeway. But when you get your this address there is nothing but an empty building. Apparently the office is completely at the other end and back around to the front. Do not go to the actual address, keep driving West, behind the building and then back around to the front, because when you see their sign on the building, the patient entrance is clear on the other side. They need better signage or a new address that is accurate. There is no air conditioning in the building, and after 12 minutes after signing in, no one has called us up to check in. This is a ridiculous office!!! After waiting in the heat for 20 minutes, the back offices are like ice. They should open a door to allow the lobby to get cooler. And having to wait so long, we are in the waiting room yet got a call that we missed our appointment. We are sitting here but the office staff is behind and we are getting rude phone calls. We actually got here a half hour early. Do not come to this company! You aren't treated with respect. read more

Giving the benefit of the doubt, I waited a long as I could delaying this review, but cannot any longer. I relocated here to Arizona from out-of-state and needing a urologist, did my research, settling on a good MD with Arizona Urology Specialists. I've been satisfied with that MD and, as you know, it is very difficult to keep changing once you do all the research, transfer your medical records and ramp your new MD up on your issues, personality, etc. It is just so difficult, inconvenient and unproductive to keep "shopping" around by trying different MDs as you also keep transferring and trying to ensure your records are maintained accurately. So here I am, satisfied with the MD I've selected at Arizona Urology Specialists. But, that satisfaction not just starts, but it ends there. Arizona Urology Specialist outside of the MD, has horrible, unmonitored and non-existent quality assurance / control when it comes to the clinical (non-MD), staff, front office (call center) and back office (billing, administration, etc.). As Arizona Urology Specialists employee Stephanie just advised me, Arizona Urology Specialists 'has a big problem with turnover, so the people you get like Essence Hollins (medical assistant . . . whatever that is)' who actually involuntarily terminates calls in mid conversation (hangs up in your ear) after saying, "It don't work like that here and I don't have to talk to you . . . click" is why you (the Arizona Urology Specialists' customer) get treated so disrespectfully". In the Essence Hollins (medical assistant . . . whatever that is) example, she botched up the instructions given to her by the MD to relay to me (the Arizona Urology Specialists customer) for my medication and when I discovered the mistake, she actually said to me, "Okay just forget I called you". Yep! That is what Essence Hollings (medical assistant . . . whatever that is) actually said, "Okay, let's just forget I called you". I tried. I really did. I responded to Essence Hollins (medical assistant . . . whatever that is), "No, no, no . . ." I've been invoiced a very large sum of money for the procedure I just completed, so if you (Arizona Urology Specialists) want me to remit payment, then I really must get the correct prescription medication instructions from the MD communicated to me. But instead of helping me, she said, "I'm not calling to collect money from you", "you're not listening to me", "just forget I called you". I, again, asked, "No, no, no, I definitely want to pay Arizona Urology Specialists the money I owe; I am just leveraging what I owe to get the proper medical care from Arizona Urology Specialists, not the erroneous medical care (prescription medication instructions) from a MA (whatever that is). But, this is when she said, "You are not listening to me, you keep interrupting me, you keep talking over me (Essence Hollins) wanting money from you . . .". I then requested I to speak to her supervisor. Instead, she said, "No, that's not how it's done here and I don't have to talk to you", click . . . this is where Arizona Urology Specialists employee Essence Hollins (medical assistant . . . whatever that is) involuntarily terminated her telephone call she made to me (hung up on me). I "redialed" the number she called me from on caller ID, speaking with an agent who tried to help. He read to me what Essence Hollins (medical assistant . . . whatever that is) typed into the Arizona Urology Specialists CRM system. Essence Hollins (medical assistant . . . whatever that is) typed in the Arizona Urology Specialists CRM system the customer (me) interrupts her and that is why she refuses to speak to me. This is also when I was informed by Stephanie of the current state of poor quality Arizona Urology Specialists employees due to the massive turnover of quality employees turning over in their jobs at Arizona Urology Specialists. The same thing occurs when you question an invoice (coding used, billed amount, etc.). Billing managers will tell you, "That's not how it works here, I don't have to talk to you" click (involuntarily hanging up on you). Also, if you ever use their portal or ever are told by those who work in the Arizona Urology Specialists call center you will get a "call back" from a particular department, person, etc., you will never, never, never, never, ever get a call. NEVER . . . ever. Never. Guess what? After days, weeks, months go by and you consistently call back to say no one ever called back, they say, "Let me take a message and someone will call you back". Ha, ha, ha, ha. Yep, you just get left to navigate in a circular Arizona Urology Specialists black holes. Negative star if possible. This review is for experience with Dr Jaime Camacho. Bad physician and even much worse staff and business office. Been dealing with these ...... for six months now, trying to straighten out their mistakes from one office visit. Waited for one hour because person at desk never checked me in, no call back with lab results, then found out test was never performed. No bill for four months and charged for test not done. Impossible to reach office EVER, or their separate billing office. After numerous calls, plus a letter, was turned over to collections. Had to finally give them a credit card to pay full balance! This afternoon I had an appointment at 2:00pm . There were 10 patients seen before me. After 40 minutes I spoke to the receptionist. She did not inform me that they were backed up. After One hour , I approached her again. I must admit I was testy. In no way did she take responsibility for the overbooking. I feel she was condescending. As I was driving home , she called to reschedule my Appointment for November 30th. Honestly , I felt like I was being punished because I spoke up. I've been going to this practice for 3 years. While the doctors, MA's and PA's are good, reception and especially billing is lacking. I attempted to call their parent company "United Urology" today regarding some billing issues, and their phone has been disconeccted. I then tried AZ Urology phone numbers, on hold forever, and was pretty much blown off. I'm at a loss, these are supposedly the best Urologists in my area, but if they have no contact or backup information, what is the point! read more

Oh my God this is the worst terrible customer service here I've ever seen I called a week ago asked them to call me to set up an appointment for surgery I called on April 17th 2024. Never got a call back I finally called this morning on 4/22 at 10:30 in the morning and waited 15 minutes on the phone then I got transferred to the facility. I talked to a rude customer service rep woman down there she sounded so stressed out she stated that she was a week behind on calling people back she kept on interrupting me while I was trying to talk, I told her to quit it interrupted me when I'm trying to speak that it's totally disrespectful over the phone. She got upset and hung up the phone on me. I called back and asked for a director or manager to contact me and it's 3:00pm on Monday 4/22/ 24 and still haven't gotten a call back. This is the most unprofessional service I've ever seen here they need to be reported to the city or somebody higher up for complaints here. Very unprofessional places place needs attention and more customer service professional help down there. I do not recommend this place it's at deer valley and 27th avenue in North Phoenix. read more

Yikes. Terrible. Consistently overbooking. Waiting in the room for over an hour seems a bit long, right? Last straw for me here.

Although Dr Han & his staff were very nice and very professional, I feel they are unwilling to accept that the invasive procedures they preformed for my husbands bladder cancer, caused UTI's as a side effect. Coming to Dr Han, after disastrous treatment from Academic Urology, my husband did have a UTI when they did a urine test, at his first appointment with Dr Han. They DID give him an antibiotic for the UTI. As the months went on, my husband continued to get weaker and very incoherent ( which he learned is a very common side effect of UTI's). Dr Han saw a small bladder tumor and removed it in November. He said he felt it was " insignificant". My husband continued to get weaker and less coherent, has 5 falls in 3 months and was hospitalized & sent to rehab centers 3 times in 2 months. At the last rehab center, we learned he was not on the Cipro that the hospital put him on for the UTI they had tested him for. In desperation, I called the on call doctor from Arizona Urology and she did't want to call in an Rx, without him first having a urine test. He was totally incoherent & unresponsive at that point and she reluctantly called in an order for Cipro. By then the ongoing UTI's had ravaged my husbands entire body and he died in hospice at home, 2 weeks later. My husband had refused to go with the TOXIC chemotherapy that all the urologist we consulted said was necessary and upon his last lab biopsy during his November surgery for the " insignificant tumor" removal, he was COMPLETELY CANCER FREE by using the non toxic FENBENDASOLE cancer treatment. Do NOT feel that surgery & Chemo are your only options for treating bladder issues. Look up FENBENDASOLE CANCER TREATMENT. read more

I love love love my doctor but was pretty aggravated when I called to verify an appointment only to be told that it had been cancelled and I needed to reschedule. I would not use this office they are so disorganized. We had an appointment for my husband to get a vasectomy for months they sent us confirmation everyday the week before we confirmed it. Called to make sure there wasn't anything else to do, then to be told the appointment was cancelled. They couldn't get us in until July the doctor was leaving. Called to find out when they knew he was leaving they said they notified his patients at the beginning of the month, well except us. They don't care about their patients or that you had to schedule time off work for the appointment to find out they decided to cancel it without tell you. read more

Good luck with this office. First, you have to go through a gauntlet of staff members before you can even see a doctor, and each one requiring you to repeat the same information over and over. In short, you're a piece of meat on a conveyor belt. Once I finally spoke with the doctor, who was brief but seemingly knowledgeable, I was sent to the scheduling desk...and all I can say is wow (not in a positive way). The scheduling person was clueless to a comical degree. This person checked and rechecked multiple calendars, forgot what month we were in, and requested help from two separate staff members just to view availability. All the while muttering to themselves in a way you might see in an old 3 stooges bit. Against my better judgement I scheduled a minor surgery with the doctor, weeks out of course, only to have one of the doctor's minions call to cancel the WEEK OF. After several days of calls back and forth I was instructed to have ANOTHER CONSULTATION to reschedule. Forget that I paid for the last consultation, traveled and taken time off of work to do so. Why? YOUR OFFICE CANCELED. But no answer other than usual scripted nonsense was given and I gave up. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS. read more
