We came across Phil and Gwen because they were the preferred vendors through our wedding venue. They were absolutely amazing to work with. Gwen reached out to us to schedule a time to meet Phil so he could get to know us and what we wanted our ceremony to be all about. Once we met him we were over the moon with their services, there's definitely a reason they are Stone Bridge Manors preferred vendor. He took time to understand who our other vendors were and plan out our ceremony. He is very humorous and really fit the feeling we wanted of our ceremony perfectly. As most people know getting married is not easy, the marriage license process is confusing and leaves you with questions. Gwen was able to take our call late at night, assist us with all of our questions, and on top of that set up reservations for us the following week. Gwen is amazing from the start of the wedding to the end, I did not know that she was going to be doing the wedding. She got up and gave a heart warming ceremony, continuing on after the kiss :) Gwen understands her studio so well and was able to suggest great pictures that we will treasure. Phil Waring was our wedding minister, he came to our wedding at the Orange Tree Golf Resort-- he does most of his weddings on location, not really at his chapel. Although, he can do them at his chapel, it's just pretty small. But perfect for a 50 person wedding. He truly made the ceremony absolutely beautiful and meaningful. It was a non-denominational ceremony. He can pretty much do whatever you want. The price is very reasonable. We worked with Gwen too just firming up details etc. and she was wonderful as well-- we really enjoyed working with them and I HIGHLY recommend Phil Waring to officiate your wedding! I keep hearing back from everyone how awesome the ceremony was-- how often does that happen? Usually, wedding ceremonies are kinda boring.... it's the reception that's fun. Gwen officiated our wedding on 5/14/16 in Scottsdale, Az. We had recently gone to a few weddings the month before our wedding where family & friends had gotten ordained & performed the ceremony...although this was a sweet gesture, it was not professional & did not flow whatsoever. Gwen however was 100% professional & even though she didn't personally know us, she made our ceremony personal & intimate for us and our guests. Phil served as the officiant for our Grand Canyon wedding and was absolutely amazing to work with, going above and beyond anything we imagined from an officiant. Reading about his ceremonies at the Grand Canyon on his website is actually what convinced us we could plan a destination wedding from another state and still have the ceremony of our dreams. He responded to our initial email inquiry incredibly promptly and once we spoke with him on the phone, we knew he was going to be the right officiant for us--experienced, enthusiastic, and incredibly dedicated to listening to us and helping us decide just what we would help us make our ceremony truly OURS.
