Staying in the Cottage gave us space to unwind with the kind of privacy and warmth that made everything feel personal and intentional. The main floor of the house features its resturant along with a sitting room with a large fire place. The sitting room is perfect to read a book or play a board game while you have some complimentary tea and coffee. As for the rooms it's an old house so everything is very loud.. all the time...even at night. I get that it's an old house but some form of noise barrier would be nice. In the middle of the night you can hear ppl in the hallway or in the room next to you, doing...well I'll just leave it as loud adult activities lol... The beds are also not very comfortable. As for the food the breakfast is fire. All freshly made food with some nice options. Dinner was a little disappointing unfortunately, flavors just weren't there for multiple dishes. Overall a decent place but questionable if it's worth the price.

No mobile networks but the hotel has decent wifi. Location: This place is in the quiet, remote, and middle of the mountain. Only 8 rooms. Run by the couple. No crowd or town or tourists. Room: Queen bed, kitchen, and some utensils. The bed was comfortable. The view from the room is amazing. Night time watching stars and moon. Service: run by a couple and the expectation for this location is you want to go quiet and different place. Don't explore big hotels or motel kind of things. The owner is very welcoming and social. The couple are writers. They serve breakfast - pop-tarts and off. Evening they have wine and cocktail hours. You have a chance to meet them and other guests.

thank the lord for weekend getaways. i was blessed to win an all-inclusive trip to the catskills…read moreone fine weekend earlier this summer - so my friend and i adventured out of brooklyn and drove up north to settle in here for a couple nights. i had been hearing nothing but positive comments since they opened up in the spring - so it was such a cool thing to see our experience play out the same way. i can't get over how friendly the innkeeper, casey, and her husband were. the type of people you don't have to over-think things with - they are genuine, welcoming, and - not in their 60s. haha i appreciated their youthfulness, relateability, and that she's an ex-brooklynite. when you wake up in the morning (and hoist yourself out of a most-comfy bed) - opening the curtains to the sight of the mountains, their adorable garden, and that semi-secluded feeling ~ you just know your days getting a fantastic head-start.

As a guest you were able to explore the zoo day and night however, you need to stay out of the buildings. The in itself is gorgeous and the rooms are comfortable. There is a total of five guestrooms. There is even an option to rent out the whole inn. There is a large kitchen and living room for guest to use That is a shared space. You can bring your own food and cook there if you want. There is also a few tent sites. Dog friendly! Definitely a unique experience and close to other attractions in the area.

Everyone is shocked when I tell them that we stayed inside what was the giraffe house. The rooms are well-appointed, and the communal are spacious. There's a full kitchen for you to use, couches, tables, a coffee bar. But for the people who are here to explore the modern ruins, the real appeal is outside the inn. We probably spent 5 hours exploring all over the abandoned zoo, and I'm not sure we covered everything. Almost everything is open, so you can go into the buildings, inside the fences, even inside the cages. It's spooky, but so cool. And since the inn has only five rooms, we hardly saw anyone while we were out there, since you can only explore the property if you're staying there. It's only about 20 minutes to downtown Catskill, where we went to eat both nights, but while you're on the property, it's completely quiet, except for the creepily atmospheric sounds of the gun range down the road.

I spent an hour on the porch just, well, sitting . Spent the night cozy by the fireplace in the living room before retiring to the bedroom. The warmth of the fire is exceeded only by the warmth of your hosts, Linda and Hugh. This is my country home and I don't have to worry about maintenance. Just splendid!

We were about to head home from a one night, last minute trip from another spot we rented- but then we stumbled upon the Warehouse. The host was incredible (she even left her family to come and bring us the key), the place was so clean and decorated so thoughtfully, and dogs are more than welcome. She also greeted us with a bottle of wine. It's absolutely perfect for the price, location (being right downtown), and comfort. I almost didn't want to write a review to expose this gem on Yelp, but It would be selfish of me not to share my fantastic experience with the world. If you want to get out of the city to relax and see the adorable little town of Saugerties, this is the place to stay.

With access to much of the first floor, you can gaze at all the strange, charming, impressive, mismatched STUFF everywhere (including inside the suite). Friendly host, spacious backyard with great porch for relaxing. Comfortable bed. Decent bathroom. Maybe not for everyone but we enjoyed our visit for one summer evening and a sunny morning after.
