On my way to California, just passing through and unavoidably ran over large sheets metal on the middle lane of the freeway. It bent up my exhaust pipe. I called all around to several shops and they were the only ones willing to fit me in and not only that they did it the next day The shop and customer area were very clean and presentable. I tried my best to do business with them because they were local and not once but twice, they truly did not want my business. For one they are rude and can talk and tell you about the other muffler shops, but not about why their prices are much higher for the same products they use. I took the owners advice after he told me that he really did not want my business so I took his advice and went to The Muffler Shop in Little Rock Ar on University Ave and got a better install, less time, and half the price. Took my 05 Trailblazer in to have a cat installed on a Saturday morning. They got me in quickly, and I also had them delete the resonator and install a nice bowtie tip. They were quick, efficient and did an outstanding job for what I feel was a very good price because of the work involved in getting that old cat off in the first place. Only had one vehicle worked on there (my 85 VW Vanagon), but my experience was very good. Part of my exhaust was broken off and everything about rusted out, including muffler. They inspected and gave me a couple quotes for free, went back and they fabricated some exhaust and fitted a new muffler on and I don't think it was even $200. Took my Jeep TJ Wrangler to these guys to fix a poor fitting "direct fit" Magnaflow y-pipe with converters I had purchased online. They were very friendly and took the time to look at the problem areas under the Jeep with me. They made sure they understood what I wanted, and also made sure I understood what they were going to do. They got me in early the next day and had my Jeep fixed up in about 1-2 hours. They did top quality work and price was extremely reasonable. Another place I got a quote at wanted more for the modification and also warned that they might not even be able to fix the problem completely. So friendly! We got there right at 8 am, they greeted with a smile and got to work immediately. They said I might need to replace my manifold but that they might be able to fix it with out the replacement, which they did! Anywhere else would of charged to replace the manifold. An out of towner on business I needed a cat converter. At the mercies of local businesses a friend highly recommended APE for the job. While nice enough and giving a competitive price APE subbed it out. When I got my car the steering was very unstable. After several hours of driving to my next appointment I stopped at a auto repair shop who informed me that all of the nuts to my rack and pinion were missing. I never accused APE just called to ask if that might have happened. Their first reply repeated several times was bring your receipt and we'll reimburse you for the nut replacement. When I did show up...guess what? "We're not going to reimburse you." I know there is no way to prove they were absolutely at fault. But, breaking a promise? That's enough for me to not go there again. read more
