There are more homeless people in the area now and most shops lock their backdoor for safety that leads to the parking lot. In certain area they do have security guard walking around because of the situation. I don't come here that much just because of the homeless people and it tend to be more busier than other places I go to. But I visited Ross, Dunkin Donuts, Vitamin Shoppe, Jersey Mike's, Mencies, Sliverlake Ramen, Ono Hawaiian, the UPS store and Ulta Beauty. The only place I haven't visited yet is the 24 Hour fitness, the Dentistry, Mattress Firm, AT&T and Bank of America. There plenty of parking here as well and there even more parking toward the back of the center. I usually park in the back because it's less traffic to enter or leave. A lot of stores and vendors already left so it's almost like a ghost town or those abandon mall videos you see online The mall is in need of a full remodel to make it more modern. There a couple of food places, Finish Line still here, The Children Place and a jewelry store. Beside that there nothing much to attract crowds like back in the days. To my surprise I noticed it was a mall as I was pulling in the parking lot. I had low expectations considering the condition of the building. I walked in, it was completely empty. Closed store signs, vacant restaurants, dim lighting no one at the kiosks. I found the store I was looking for, it was worth the trip but I highly doubt that I will come back here.

From the high security in Home Depot and date feel to it's complete revamp in more recent years. The Plant is a huge open mall shopping center with major stores including Burlington, Ross dress for Less and Home Depot to name a few. They have various mall classics such as GameStop, GNC and Starbucks For eats you have OneHawaiian BBQ, Blaze Pizza, Chipotle and In N Out to name most There's Petsmart for your pet needs. Sally Beauty aka Sally's for your hair care needs. I've been to Regency more this year than I have in the past 10 and dig the GameStop, appreciate The Gap as well as the L.A. Care Community Resource Center (formerly where the HomeTown Buffet was back in the day). There's so much parking in all direction including behind, on the Regency side. Great affordable clothing, comforts, services and food. It stays busy, but rarely feels overwhelming. It's very close to the Van Nuys Train Station for the Amtrak + MetroLink and being off Van Nuys Blvd it's connected to a lot of local LA Metro busses/services like LADOT DASH. Enjoy the power of The Plant seven days a week, see individual places for their hours.

There's a few food options, more chain places but In and Out being the top contender. Besides that, you have other chain's restaurants along the strip of Van Nuys Blvd. There loads of parking spaces available which comes in handy. Both for the strip mall as well out back where the movie theatre is. Across the street is Living Spaces. Another chain stores for furniture. It's pretty massive and I believe it's affiliated with the plant.

I been coming here for a while, usually to visit Ralphs or going to eat at Pho So 1. But I also visited the movie theater here which is outdated, AutoZone and Baskin Robbins that is on the other side of the plaza as well. There also a Salvation Army here so you can go donate things. Fatburger used to be here but it's gone now. Sushi Raw and Panera Bread is still open but I haven't visit those places yet. There was plans to redo the whole plaza where a Home Depot was going to take over the movie theater area but so far nothing has happen yet. There also a lot of parking here as well so there shouldn't be any issues finding a spot but the pavement isn't in the best of shape.

It has its own shops, its own restaurants, and a lot of art and culture for the Hispanic community. Most shops here are mom and pop shops, so it is great to come support our people. I haven't been here in ages, and it still looks as great as ever. The main downside is I did see a lot of empty stores and empty spaces. I hope that this is not a bad sign. I hope we never lose this place, but times are tough. The place was also always crowded but empty when I went last week. Not what I'm used to. I hope that things get better; this is a beautiful area located in Van Nuys, and I hope it stays for the long run.
