I've driven by this mall so many times on the freeway & I finally was able to go check it out. Good: plenty of parking, spacious walkways, clean, doggie potty area, big movie theater. Bad: mall is split up with streets running through it, parking is expensive, extremely limited number of stores to actually shop at, majority of stores are located across the Laurel Grove Drive which is quite a walk if you parked in the main lot in the middle of the complex. I only went to Daiso, Five Below, Starbucks because those were the only ones you can shop at in the main part of the mall which is unbelievably weird. It's like this mall had an identity crisis, couldn't figure out if it should be more of an entertainment center (movie theater, restaurants) or shopping center (Daiso, Five Below, Nordstrom Rack). Many vacancies, alot of random stores that you wouldn't go to unless you had or needed to like Spectrum, nail & beauty salons, orthodontist, chiropractor, Verizon, Carbon Health. The main part of the mall is Nordstrom Rack, Starbucks, Daiso, Five Below, LA Fitness. Gnomon (computer graphics, visual effects school) & Regal Cinemas take up the majority part of this section. There seems to be no thought to what a mall shopper would want or wish to go to when they arrive to the heart of a mall. On the "strip mall" area which is across the street and around the corner, there are Ulta, Trader Joe's, mostly cafes, quick bites like Jersey Mike's, Crumbl, It's Boba Time, MOD pizza. Again, only Ulta for someone looking to do mall shopping. Although this mall is modern, clean, great parking structure (expensive but lots of spaces), there's absolutely little to offer. Would I go back?? No way! This is an incredibly disappointing shopping center & if you're hoping to do some retail therapy, go to Sherman Oaks Galleria or Westfield Fashion Square. read more

NoHo West is absolutely one of the best open air shopping centers meets malls meets complexes. Located just east of the 405 off Laurel Canyon Blvd between Oxnard and Erwin Streets this nearly full occupied gem offers grocery, entertainment, food, fitness, home goods, self care, and more. From discount favs like Daiso and Five Below... To movies at the Regal Theater on level 2. LA Fitness, Creamistry, Trader Joe's, The Stand thriving great and even more coming soon such as Chick Me Out and Paris Baguette Bakery Cafe, to name a few. Partake in use of their huge spacious parking structure as well as parking throughout the entire NoHo West plaza. I will say as this place has become growingly busy you may be on a parking adventure for a short while. A few connecting local bus routes via LA Metro near by. I've enjoyed a lot of great places here. The Trader Joe's is so spacious and you never know who you might run into at the movies as I've spotted quite a few famous faces when I do see a film here. The area is okay to get errands and stops done mainly-- a lunch break meal, a quick stop for coffee, getting a gym workout in, a sweet treat, or buying groceries. It is not the best to kill a lot of time in though (unless you are watching a movie). There is not much indoor space where the community can really fully relax in. You'd have to actually dine in at a space if you do, but it takes away that hangout spot feel. There IS an outdoor courtyard that does have water bursting from the floor for kids to splash around in.. But in recent temperatures, it's hard to stay that long outdoors without wanting to just get back in the car to go somewhere else to cool off. The parking garage is easy to navigate to, but yeah. This is a very nice plaza with different food places, a Trader Joe here, retail store, a Regal movie theater and much more places. I came here tonight and be aware that starting Nov 18, they'll start charging for parking. The first hour will be free but then they'll start charging per hour. I came when it was still free today so I didn't have any issues. I was able to visit some retail stores, it's boba time, MOD pizza, trader Joe's, Ulta Beauty and Daiso. I always see the shopping center passing by on the 170, but it's not my neck of the woods, so I never really knew how to easily get there nor had much of a reason since I normally shop in my area. However, my work was at the mechanic and was going to be a few hours, so he drove me down here so I can see a movie in that provided me the time to walk around the shopping center and see what was here. Definitely a high-end vibe and look to the place, which is nice, considering the surrounding area has never been great. It's smaller than you think, but a lot packed in a smaller footprint and it's a great addition to the area. Parking here is a scam. You get two hours of free parking with validation at the gym. I was here for 1h50m, and it tried to charge me for parking. I called the agent for help. He said he'd send the parking attendant. Five minutes later I'm still blocking the exit and there's no attendant in sight. So I call back. He says it might be 15 minutes, and I can just pay and try to take it up with someone else later. That's extortion. This place sucks. read more

I wish to God they would clean the kids playground, and put some kind of fence to keep the dogs from peeing and pooping all over the fake grass for our children to play in and on. The dog owners have zero respect for the kids playground which is decaying and they barely keep it up. I also wish they'd pick up all the trash around the mall, when you walk on the sidewalk there's tons of empty cups and trash from the food outlets in the mall and I don't think anyone cleans it up - I've picked up a lot of it on my walks but I don't see maintenance doing a damn thing about the trash that mostly comes from inside the mall. I also wish they'd secure the electrical outlets near the walking entrance on Oxnard - the homeless are charging their phones there and it's really a hazard. I also wish they'd work with the city council to get rid of the homeless encampments around the malls. It's just so gross. Also they do not do a thing to keep people from harassing you for signatures at Trader Joes all the time. The mall will tell us we can't walk on the top of the parking structure, they'll send a security guard to come all the way up and tell you to leave but they don't do a darn thing about the solicitors in front of the gym or Trader Joes. My first time here was to visit the NoHo "Dog Park"! You can access the enclosed dog area by walking through/behind the shops and buildings. It's quite quiet and peaceful and from what I can see, mostly in shade, since it's nestled between the buildings. If a dog area can't maintain real grass, then this is the perfect example of it should do: fake grass that's kept clean, with gravel/dirt around the area for pee and poo. Poop bags are provided too! From what I saw of the shops, there are some good food choices, plenty of comfortable and spaced out seating. Parking is easily accessible and I would love to visit again just to relax or have lunch. read more

Well, it's nice to have commerce in the neighborhood, but this mall was built and is maintained by drunk people. The parking lot is confusing and has a lot of intersections where nobody has the right of way so everybody just goes. I've been here 25+ times and never once have all of the escalators worked. Today these two are out. Not a big deal. I just had to take 4 elevators (2 there, 2 back). I don't understand. It's a pretty new mall. And if you want to go to the second floor, you have to park, go downstairs, then go back upstairs. There's no bridge from the crazy parking lot to the second floor. 07/08/2021 Industrial like buildings with barely anything open. They are still building something in the back. Hope it's not more lofts or apartments. There are more restaurants around the corner at the end of the parking structure. Trader Joe's in the same shopping center. That will make a lot of folks happy. I saw restrooms down the hall but you need a key or code. I am heading into The Stand to order something to eat. They have restrooms inside the restaurant too. Just ask the cashier for the code. Pedestrians need to pay attention to dumb drivers who don't know how to stop or pull to the side if they are dropping off Uber passengers. Once you're in this maze, the view from the street is gone. Hope there will be more patrols to keep things orderly and safe. Cannot wait to see what else they finish building here. read more

The parking here is horrendous, the machines often don't work forcing lines of cars to have to back up and go to the other side. Today I paid at one of the downstairs machines 1st and it wouldn't give me back my ticket and security insisted I pay $15 to get out. No way in hell am I paying $15 to park for going to get my nails done! The guy on the speaker was a jerk about it - totally holding me hostage with 10 cars behind me. He claimed people fake losing tickets all the time but I had a receipt showing I'd paid $2! He said nothing he could do, so I ended up having to call the police. This is the norm in this parking garage. Not worth patronizing the shops there. read more

Noho West is a cozy shopping spot in North Hollywood, and while it's not as large as some might think, is has a nice selection of stores like Trade Joe's, Ultra Beauty, Old Navy, as well as 24 Hour Fitness for workouts and Regal Cinemas for movie lovers. This place is great and it has such a variety of shops. Parking is a little tight but you can just go into the parking structure upper levels to avoid the drama. This place was actually fine until they started to change for parking. It's a mess and honestly the parking is so over priced. I guess in the long run it saves me money because now I don't go as often and when I do, I'm quick (60min free). Would have loved to leisurely shop Nordstrom rack after I got my nails done, spending even more money shopping. But had to get out of that garage before my 60 min was up! I'm assuming parking frees go to the developer rather than the retail stores. Retailers will take a financial hit now that the parking is a paid mess. The parking garage is also the wild wild West. No right of way directions and fast loud cars driving like race cars. Trader Joe's parking lot is now an even bigger mess because people are looking for free parking, and I can't say I blame them. This review is specifically for their water fountain/splash pad. It's a great place to stop by with your kiddos on a hot day. Our 3 year old daughter had a great time running and splashing around. We saw several families come and go within the 3 hours that we were there. Keep in mind that this water fountain is right by other food businesses and people sitting outside. I saw one particular family let their children be unclothed right by a bunch of strangers. I would never feel comfortable with that. The nearby bathrooms were locked, too. Keep that in mind! There were a couple of nooks in the hallway by the water fountain that allows for some quick changes if you need. Some of the tables have umbrellas for shade so try to snag one of those. read more

I am an old Geyser who lives in the area for the last 60 years. I used to spend many weekends and $$ at the old Macy and the businesses before and of course at the newly built NOHO-West. This all stopped when they started to charge for parking. As a handicapped senior on a fixed income I refuse to pay a parking fee to be able to spend my $$. North Hollywood - the Noho Arts District and surrounding vicinity - has become one of the top-gentrified areas in the East SFV. Take my word for it: I've been living in the SAME apartment in the Noho Arts District for 11 years! I've seen the changes day-in and day-out for over a decade. Luxury apartment living and shops are becoming a staple (and the trend of knocking down older buildings to make room for them and thus upping rent - sadly). Noho West is one of the most recent architectural adds; one that us locals have all been watching structurally construct. What exactly IS Noho West? Noho West is located near Oxnard/Laurel Canyon and is an open-air live/work/play space. Basically, a good comparison to Old Pasadena complexes, Burbank Town Center, the Americana - but on a much, much smaller scale. The complex houses retail space, restaurant/eateries, a 24-Hour Fitness (not yet open), a cinema (also not open) and the famous Trader Joe's where the woman who went nationally viral with her tirade about not wearing a mask during Covid. YES! THAT Trader Joe's! Which, by the way, is a HUGE warehouse- looking TJ's with a constant enormous line. This Tj's is the Magnum Opus of Trader Joe's! In terms of feeding your hungry belly? Noho West currently houses a California Fish Grill, Jersey Mike's Starbucks, MOD Pizza, and Urbane Cafe with some others like The Stand, Robek's , Creamistry and Hummus and Pita Co coming soon. Also featured in the complex are residential apartments and office spaces which I cannot comment on as I do not live here. Basically, Noho West is open but not: Covid is restricting some of the openings and much of the retail space hasn't been yet leased so this place will still be undergoing many changes. Biggest qualm regarding Noho West? The traffic flow or actually the lack thereof. 'Congestion' is the name of the game here. Although there is a lot in the food court area adjacent to TJ's and a garage; everything feels like a tight squeeze especially in the retail areas and entry/exists. This place isn't even fully occupied and it is already hazardous. Much of this has to do with everything they tried to fit on smaller acreage but point is: BE CAREFUL! Noho West is a solid attempt at upgrading the area with a live/work/play space that tries to compete with the open-air shopping centers and is definitely the nicest one is the area. Which is also due to NOT having any others in the area! We shall see how it fares in the future when more retailers join the space. All hail gentrification! (or not). read more

I hadn't been here in a while and didnt realize they charged for parking now which is totally fine BUT they could definitely address this better. I came to the LA fitness for a quick work out and didn't bring my wallet thinking I didn't need it. Upon exiting I saw the pay for parking sign and tried to pay with my Apple Pay which the machine didn't take. I took my chances and went toward the parking exit hoping there was an attendant I can explain the situation to. There wasn't so I clicked the help intercom and explained I didn't have my wallet but would gladly pay another way if possible. The person that answered just sounded mad about it and said I'll open it but next time if you don't bring a credit card we are going to tow your car away and clicked on me before I can say anything else. Trader Joe's parking is over taken by construction workers placing large trash bins in parking spots. They once had two. Taking about 1 spots. Parking garage is anarchy. Wild youths, with no mufflers, revving engines to hear the echoes. No security. Nice buildings. With a little security, and control over construction workers, this can be a nice place. read more
