It been over a decade since I visited Panorama Mall until today and I live nearby. I went to Walmart next door to pick up my online order and the mall is connected to it so I decided to explore the mall. A lot of stores and vendors already left so it's almost like a ghost town or those abandon mall videos you see online The mall is in need of a full remodel to make it more modern. There a couple of food places, Finish Line still here, The Children Place and a jewelry store. Beside that there nothing much to attract crowds like back in the days. I think people come here to use the free wifi. read more

In a last attempt to find the perfect gift for my daughter's birthday, I typed into my map app a store that popped up in Panorama City. A little bit of a hike for me but I made the trip. To my surprise I noticed it was a mall as I was pulling in the parking lot. I had low expectations considering the condition of the building. I walked in, it was completely empty. Closed store signs, vacant restaurants, dim lighting no one at the kiosks. I found the store I was looking for, it was worth the trip but I highly doubt that I will come back here. read more

This is a much smaller mall compared to the other ones close by within the area like Northridge and Topanga. There are a limited stores that are worth going to and some are closing. There are a lot less people compared to before around 2010-12. Prices are fair besides the jewelry shop it can be a hit or miss with the prices unless it's on sale they're charged overly priced. The food court is small having about 6-7 places not including dominos or auntie Anne's pretzel that are separate from the food court. Walmart is connected to the mall and has most of basic necessities, but it's one of the older ones so it doesn't have any fresh vegetables, etc. It's okay to visit, but there's not much it has to offer. read more

This is a dying mall. Strangely it was full of people. Loyal customers or maybe it was just another 100degree day. First of all the AC was struggling and after the shock of the terrible selection of stores, I almost passed out in the bathroom where the mall decided to save not just on AC but deny its customers AIR! Yes there was no AIR in the bathroom! And one faucet working. Hubby said men's bathroom was disgusting and no soap. Please just stay away. read more

This is my second time coming to this mall, the first time being last when I just so happened to stumble upon it and discovered Fashion Q. I was able to get 2 jackets (1 winter and 1 faux leather) for a really great price. Fast forward to this trip, I went back to Fashion Q in Van Nuys as all the other locations I find on google seem to be closed down and this location doesn't even show up on google maps. I went back and unfortunately, didn't see as much stuff that appealed to me as I would have hoped, but I was able to grab two more items. From Q's, I went on to Intimate Basics and Teen Model I think it's called, and got some good deals there. This mall doesn't have a lot to offer, but I do like the few select stores that are available. Is it the best, cleanest or biggest mall you've ever been to? Nope, but the clothes are at a good and cheap price so to me it's worth shopping there from time to time. read more

The only reason we came here was to get something that wasn't nearby our area, and dear gosh will we NEVER go back again. The parking lot had this odor and it was so filthy, there was trash everywhere we stepped. Inside was okay, but the bathrooms were so disgusting, like they haven't been cleaned in weeks or months. It was so crowded in some stores, with a waiting time over an hour to be helped. We attempted to make out trip here quick, but unfortunately had to wait an hour until we were able to leave. There was homeless people inside everywhere & a worker even told us to be careful when leaving because people have been robbed while leaving the mall, which made us even more aware of our surroundings, but also super nervous. I mean, who wants to be worried about being robbed?! Never again will we step foot in this mall. I highly recommend you don't either, please go somewhere else! read more

This mall doesn't have a lot to offer, but I do like the few select stores that are available. They have a variety of restaurants inside the tiny mall and swaptmee is around the corner. Some Sundays they have musicians playing while you can enjoy your Sunday evening with the family. ------ My family and I get our tailored services done here. Is it the best, cleanest or biggest mall you've ever been to? Nope, but the clothes are at a good and cheap price. come see if it's worth shopping there. Okay, when I was a wee teenager this was the place to hang out. Boy, has it changed and I've lived here for years. The only time I come here is in desperation and for Walmart with mom. Other than that I stir clear and head for malls like Northridge, Topanga, or Glendale. It's ghetto but at least it appeals to to my Filipino peeps. Of course, there's a Jollibee in the mall. There is surprisingly a Forever 21 here and an Anchor Blue but I still don't come here unless I'm desperate. They do have a Plus size store for the big girls but I still head to Northridge. As far as a mall goes where to buy a variety of items and products I give this place 2 stars, as a place to eat it deserves probably a star or star and a half more. Really sketchy mall. I hate the parking, it's the worst. The only reason I come here are for two stores and Pollo Campero. And the movies are pretty close by. Don't shop at La Curaçao, it's wayyy overpriced and a scam. Walmart is over-crowded and a weird set up. Hold your purse close to you. The ice cream place looked really good (see pics) although I didn't get to try it. I've also tried the coffee shop kiosk in the middle of the mall and it's great! I will visit again next time I'm around the area, but mainly for Pollo Campero, love their chicken. read more

I tried using the restroom but it was locked during business hours in both locations, what the heck! People have to go use the restroom.

This place is sad. They overcharge for clothing. I was hoping to buy some new shirts and ended up leaving empty handed. Better than with an empty wallet. I was hungry and wanted to grab a bite to eat but although there are a few restaurants nothing looked inviting enough. So that wasn't great either. read more

From what I have understood, Panorama Mall was once a premier shopping destination for white suburban America until the "white flight" movement from the 60's to 80's caused by the desegregation busing earlier on which resulted in public services being underfunded as the real estate market in the area had changed. Now, with the gentrification of the area whites are returning to the area and I'd say in the next 10-15 years Panorama Mall will be what it once was many decades ago. read more

People park their trucks (with Piolin bumper stickers), astro vans & nissan altimas with rent-a-wheel rims like assholes. You'll never get to the other side of the lot due to constant moms, their 6 kids w/a stroller trying to cross in front of you... in a single file line, as slow mo n shit. You think it'll get better once inside? It's the same thing. Back in the 1980s this was a pretty good mall with Broadway, Bullocks, KayBee, and so on! The used to hold baseball card shows here and Laker players used to make appearances here during those shows (Anthony Peeler, Eldin Campbell) The demographics substantially changed with "white flight" and this mall year by year had significant closing of stores especially with the substantial job losses in the 1990s when the GM Plant nearby closed down . It has gone through several renovations over the past in a futile attempt to keep patrons interested in shopping there. The area around the mall has many apartment buildings which some might call questionable or "ghetto" but routine LAPD patrols and even a field office at the mall dramatically has made the area safer. The only real headache are the pedestrians who just jaywalk along the street with impunity. Also if you are interested in hearing old timers talk about World War II, Marcos Era Philippines, Manny Pacquiao, or Filipino American History there is a substantial amount of older retired Filipino/Fil-Am persons hanging around McDonald's chatting the entire morning. Great if you are doing some sort of research paper for college and need real perspective from old timers! read more

I can't believe how dirty and smelly this place is. I came here all the way from Pasadena because I needed some sneakers from Foor locker and they were available only in this location. The place feels like a mall in Central America, no joke. Even the ones in Cancun were a mile ahead if this place in terms of cleanliness. They say that the condition of public restrooms indirectly reflects the condition of the entire country's economy. So the restrooms here are jacked up. No hygiene whatsoever. Urine running down the floor. Smells like the exhaust fan does not work - i mean smells really bad. The only positive star is for Footlocker that had the shoes I wanted. read more

This mall is a little on the skimpy side, got here at 10 because it has a GNC, and I wanted to get my nutrition on. I guess the place was just opening. Yeah its pretty much a regular mall with out all the cooler stores. The do have a huge two story WalMart attach to it. But I would probably not go here for clothes shopping, just GNC, Foot Locker and WalMart. They do have, what seemed to be a pretty sweet icecream shop with frozen bananas in it. read more

A lot of people are turned off by this place (my boyfriend is terrified of it) but I friggin' love it. I affectionately refer to this mall as the "Ghetto Mall." This mall is my go-to place for a majority of my clothes. It's pretty much the best place ever for buying pants. The might not last forever but they look good, have a flattering fit and for less than $25, I don't expect them to hold up for years (I've usually spilled paint/latex/glue/bob-only-knows all over them within a week or two anyway). My favorite stores are Fashion Nova (I don't think I've ever walked in and NOT found something cute. And the prices are great! Added bonus: the guy who runs the store is very friendly and helpful) and Intimate Basics (cute bras 3 for $20! Plus a great selection of cute fashion corsets. The ladies who work here are always very kind too!) This mall is not big. It's the perfect place if you just want to be in and out, which is almost always the case with me. I haven't even visited any of the major shopping malls in SFV in a couple of years, I find the really huge malls kind of intimidating and incredibly inconvenient; just go in looking for something simple like a bra and before you know it a simple shopping trip turns into an all day mish but shopping at this place is very quick and easy. read more

I lived in Panorama City when I first moved to Southern California for 6 years. I lived on Tobias, catty-corner to the Mall and that is where I was first introduced to Forever 21!! Since then, I saw major improvements to what I used to call the "Panorama Hall" It's no Topanga Canyon or Americana, but it's a great little mall and I love how it's a really family atmosphere in there. I saw kids playing and elderly playing checkers and chess! I don't get to that side of the Valley too often, but it was nice to see it again. read more

1st 1 star yelp review with good reason. My friends and I had a running joke with this particular mall for many years. "Panorama Mall? The place should be called a hall cuz that's all that it can ever be". A hall... Maybe 40 stores (most useless and not found in any of the other "regular malls") The people here are usually older (40-50+) and doesn't contribute to a fun, energetic shopping experience. Do yourself a favor (seriously)... Drive 10-20 miles to a more decent locale (unless you really need something immediately) Plus the parking is horrendous... how this place manages to pack it's lots is unknown to me. read more

Well....its raining on the first day of Spring and it had to be on SoCal and I had to go to a place where I didn't want to go.....Panorama Mall. So, why did you go here? As a Yelp Elite, anything that I have not written about despite the known history of Panorama City and the mall, I must write about it to share my story. Here we go....I think.... I have not visited Panorama Mall in many years. I have visited Wal-Mart, but I don't consider that part of the mall. Panorama City has changed considerably since I have been in the Valley. The rise of the Hispanic community has also increased tremendously. There are some bad parts of it as well, but the focus is on the mall. I arrived to the mall today around 11:30am in a pouring rain. When I was trying to find a parking spot, kids were running out in the lot and parents not holding on to their kids....COME ON!!! Hold your kids especially when a 1-2 ton car is on the lot. I walked in and everyone is waiting at the door for the car to arrive. What is this the airport now?! I walked in and the mall was tad bit cleaner than how I initially thought it was going to be. I was going to have one of my older watch batteries fixed at Prime Time, but that will be for another review. The mall was a bit cleaner, there was tons of kiosks in the middle of the mall. I would say most of it consisted of some sort of electronic/mobile store. Really Verizon...you need 4-5 guys to manage ONE kiosk. I can buy a vending machine and never talk to you. Even a ProActive Electronic Kiosk with ?JUSTIN BIEBER? OK, this is ALL WRONG here. I am giving the mall two stars....just because of the cleanliness that I saw. I would have expected a messy floor and dirty walls, but it was pretty clean. Unfortunately, I do have my reservations about certain things, but that is another story. This place is in serious need of a makeover. I wouldn't recommend coming here in the weekend - EVER. It gets insanely crowded and loud. Aside from that, the mall sucks in quality of shops to begin with. They have some decent shops, but definitely not something worth visiting because of the atmosphere. However I will give some credit where it's due. I spent 2 months looking for women's suede creeper shoes online. I ended being on a back order waiting list online at a website that was charging me about $80 +S&H. Believe me, these shoes are pricey everywhere and hard to find...that is until I decided to visit the Red Zone inside the mall. Not only did they have a huge stock of them , but they were only $60! What I'm trying to get at is, the place might be in a really ghetto area, but if you plan on visiting I would highly recommend going early in the morning/noon on a weekday. read more

This review is for the Aeropostale located inside this mall. I got a gift card for Aeropostale and decided to use it at the Panorama Mall. There was a long line with only two cashiers. The cashier asked me "can you write your name and email" on a list along with other names and emails. I asked "why", she said "we need it". I asked again "why" , she said "for your receipt". I told her I didn't feel comfortable writing my name name and email, she turned to the "manager" and he said "well then you can't make any returns if you don't have your original receipt" I replied "that's fine" and he shrugged his shoulders and returned to the customers. One of the worst malls I've been to. First of all, the parking lot sucks. The pathways are too narrow; it almost felt like I was going to hit a parked car any second. Second, the shops here are disappointing. They're more like knockoff brand stores. Or shops you see in the Fashion District of downtown Los Angeles. This mall is the best. Besides the regular food court a mall would have.This place has a ice cream spot that has so many great flavors and choco-bananas. They also have DJ, that plays salsa, cumbias all the music that makes a Latino want to get down on the dance floor. You don't see that in any regular boring mall. Some might say this place is ghetto. But if ghetto means a mall with not just your Forever 21 and GNC store but also urban stores, a ticketmaster store located in Walmart and Curacao. Then this mall is GHETTO FAB. Parking is a B. It is a very small mall but all prices are cheap. so its cool, it has some cool kiosks in the middle that sell interesting stuff, and there are games for kids and a bunch of food places. I really had a good shopping experience there. read more
