My son has a hard time with some of the x-rays, and they had a lot of ticks and trips to be able to get accurate x-rays, meant catching a cavity before it had gone too far. I mostly just came here to say that the dental... assistant? Tech? Hygienist? Not sure what her role would be called but I believe her name was Louise. Anyways, she was wonderful. I loved her! She gave great advice and was really patient with my baby who cried a lot. She was also just really sweet, caring, and gentle. Dr. Justin Smith was great too. Great office. Clean and friendly. Movie room for the children while they wait which is great if they have siblings. Xrays were quick, the dentist was friendly and they let me know what my daughter needed to get done. Gave a full plan on how much everything would cost and what would be covered by insurance. You must give 2 business days notice to cancel an appointment or you get charged $75. They are closed Fridays, so if you make a Monday appointment, you have to cancel the Wednesday before! read more

Dr. Justin was recommended by my daughter's Family Resource Coordinator when she was in the Birth - Three program at Providence. She started coming here sometime between 18-months and 2 years old and she is almost 5 now. She was considered non-verbal until she was about 3 years old. My daughter has Autism Spectrum Disorder, and like many other people on the spectrum, the sensory issues that go along with it. Her sensory issues were mainly around her head, face, neck, mouth, and ears. Brushing and flossing her teeth was a very, very difficult task for us until Dr. Justin and his assistant showed us how to get the job done quickly, efficiently and without much fuss! They are very accommodating! My daughter is intolerant to wheat products and food coloring (especially red and caramel) and they let me check the labels on the products to approve them before use. A few years ago my daughter fell down and pulled out her front tooth and Dr. Justin was able to see her immediately. I make her appointments 6 months in advance so I have had to reschedule a few times and it was really easy Dr.Justin and his staff are always kind and gentle. They take time to educate parents and give information in a non-judgmental way. The staff really understands children and the needs of families. Dr. Justin has extra training to work with children with special needs and it truly shows. Other things I like about Arlington Pediatric Dentistry: ample parking, text messages to remind me of upcoming appointments, office staff takes care of anything related to insurance, digital imaging and flexibility in scheduling. What my daughter likes: the playroom, television above the chair, having the same assistant, decorations with familiar characters, picking out a new toothbrush, and she loves getting the bag with her name on it after her appointment! read more

The staff is friendly and nice and the kids certainly felt comfortable there. They have a television above the chair so they can watch cartoons while getting their teeth cleaned. The bad news is really bad though. They told us that our four-year-old needed 4 root canals. I was feeling terrible and thought she must be miserable. She wasn't in any pain though. And she has always been very good at brushing. I am glad we decided to get a second opinion because it turned out that she didn't have so much as a cavity. I was shaken to think that we almost put her through all of that for no reason. She has been to 5 checkups since then and is still cavity (and root canal and caps on teeth) free. I have nothing but amazing things to say about the entire office. My daughter age 5 was seen first and after a horrifying kool smiles visit. I was terrified as were my children. We have been taking our five little ones to see Justin and his staff at Arlington Pediatric Dentistry for the past five years. Our experiences have always been positive and exciting for the kids. They actually look forward to seeing the Dentist because he and the staff members are so dreams amazing with the kids. They are sure to include the kids in every step of the process so they have absolutely no fears. The staff makes sure to give the kids words of affirmation to let them know they are doing great and helping the staff get the job done. Today I took our five year old in to get a cap put on a tooth and a cavity filled. I was beyond nervous but my daughter was looking forward to going! I sat in the room and held her hand and not once did she squeeze my hand in pain or fear. I was so impressed with Justin and Paty and how quickly and amazingly got the procedure done. I was VERY impressed by this dentistry! Every member of the staff was friendly, pleasant, and made my kids (5 year old and 2 year old) feel as comfortable as possible. Lots of fun things to keep children entertained, including, toys, books, wall decals, and tv's at every station. Dr. Smith was very patient, informative, and thorough. We have been taking our 3 children to see Dr. Smith for years. We drive 30 miles each way to go to Arlington Pediatric Dentistry simply because Dr. Smith, his facility and his staff are so amazing that it is totally worth it. He is always exceptionally friendly, punctual, professional and kind. The ladies that assist him have always been great with our kids and helpful in occupying them while I sit with another child in the chair or speak with the doctor. The office is fun for the kids to come to with a ton of toys and a movie theater in the waiting area, to the life size Disney characters that decorate the walls. Each chair has a television above it and the child gets to chose what they'd like to see, they get to pick their own toothbrush from the drawer, their flavor of polish and a prize at the end. It doesn't get any better for a child to go to the dentist than to go see Dr. Smith. Everything is always sparkling clean including the bathroom. I have recommended Arlington Pediatric Dentistry to my friends and coworkers and will continue to do so. I simply cannot say enough great things about this place! read more

She hug me and told me to let her know what we going to do. After i got the second opinion, i called the Arlington Pediatric Dentistry to schedule an appointment, and the secretary told me that they will not see my son anymore because i decided to get a second opinion. Did the doctor lied to me? Se hugged me! I don't think they are professional , especially when you are talking about children, your child. My 3 children had been patients at this office for 5 years, with very few problems. Recently, we missed an appointment, totally our fault, I called that afternoon and apologized. It was the only appointment we have ever missed in all the 5 years we have been going there. We were charged $75 for the missed appointment. Today, my daughter had her appointment, which I confirmed. We went in at our scheduled time and were told, "oh, we thought you weren't coming because you had missed an appointment and I called a few times." NO. You called ONE time last Thursday and told me I should call be 3pm that day. I work, much like many other mothers, and couldn't call on YOUR time frame. So you cancel my daughter's appointment, charge me for the one appointment I miss in 5 years and don't even bother apologizing or being concerned at all about the fact that I took time out of my work day to get her to her appointment that you canceled without notice. Unbelievable that there is ZERO customer loyalty after that many years of service. I have recommended this business in the past and I will NEVER recommend them again and I will tell others about my experience as well. read more

Started going there because it was close to my daughter's daycare. I had a terribly dental experience as a kid and I wanted my daughter to have a better, more friendly experience; one where she was not afraid of going to the dentist. Dr. Justin is great! So is the staff. Plenty of toys in the waiting room. The hygienist played a Disney movie and went straight to work. I was so impressed with my daughter because she let them do everything without a fuss -- not typically her normal behavior. I take all 4 of my children here ages 4, 6, 14 and 16. They all love it! My daughter who is 16 is very frightened of the dentist. She is willing to go so she can watch her favorite Disney movie on their tv's. It's a great distraction from what she is having done. We adore the staff and the doctor. We've been very happy with Dr. Smith and his staff- they have been great dealing with our kids, one of which is not a huge fan of the dentist and needed to have teeth pulled prior to orthodontic work. Hours are great, and we have never had a problem scheduling appointments after school. They also text appointment reminders, which is really helpful. The office is convenient and nicely decorated- there is even a tiny movie "theater" for the kids and wifi for parents. We have referred several friends to Arlington Pediatric Dentistry, and they all have had great experiences! read more

Great place for kids. The office is kid friendly and they always have a little bag mde up for your child with their personal stuff in it. We have been going there for years, they take all kinds of insurance including DSHS for our foster children which is very hard to find. The dentist is professional and the place is clean! read more

My kids have been completely no here for 5 or 6 years now and they are completely at ease. All of the staff has been friendly and helpful. They also always manage to get my three kids in all at once (not an easy task). They play movies for the kids during cleanings and fillings and that helps any anxiety they may have. read more

Friendly office! Have had two visit for my 2yr old and both went well, she was the only patient there, which is a good thing because the space is open with all the chairs in the same room. Not sure how she would react with other kids. But overall a good experience, we will return for sure. read more
