Ricky and his team were great to work with. He took our landscaping concept and came up with a creative plan. Knowing that we were going to make the front yard look good, we also wanted to spruce up the house. Ricky told us his team could paint as well. Ricky and his team work fast. Painting and full-on landscaping took less than two weeks to complete. And a day after completion, when an unexpected rainfall caused some of the decomposed granite to erode before it had a chance for the adhesive to fully set, Ricky sent workers back out to tamp it down and replace some of the material that had been washed away. Working fast had its upsides and downsides. Upsides being that going from concept to finished product went quickly, and the painting work was done with care. Downsides being that if you have specific plants in mind, you should make sure to have them on hand before the work starts. Ricky's usual nursery did not have some of the plants we wanted, and we had to scramble to source a few items from different nurseries quickly. Also, if you have specialized watering needs (i.e. working with a two-system timer for different types of plants), be sure to discuss it with Ricky before work begins. In all, Ricky was responsive to our concerns and took care of any issues in a timely way. And most importantly, the house and yard look beautiful! We have already received many compliments from neighbors and passersby on our new yard. read more

I was unhappy with them. It felt like I was working with the shadiest of use care sale people. We agreed to a certain product and price. They came back saying they can't get the flooring product in question. They pushed hard to sell a lower quality product for more than our agreed to price. Eventually, the work was done - poorly. I hired Ariel Builders for stucco repairs on my house. Levy came out, detailed the three-step process required to properly fix stucco and ensure there would be no more problems because it would be done properly. I know that many workers try to get away with one step, and that is why my house was having problems with broken and peeling stucco in the first place. He talked about how this would take about a week, as each step needs to cure or dry in between. He quoted me a fairly high figure, but since Ariel Builders was the only company that said they would do the correct time-intensive process to properly apply stucco, I thought it was worth the cost. Less than half a day after starting the stucco repairs, they informed me that they were done and would be back to paint the next day. I was incredibly confused, as this was not at all the work we agreed to (you cannot apply the three step process in this short of time). Levy was combative when I called him about this, saying they never agreed to that. "This is how we've done it for 20 years," he says. Well that's not what he said they would do, and not the kind of work I paid a premium for. I paid for a level of craftsmanship, materials, and care that is nowhere near the hasty work that was done. Beware of what they promise, and get every detail of the work in writing. As I write this, I'm looking at the portions of stucco that dried a different color because they had to patch spots they neglected to do the first day, then applied paint directly to the wet stucco. The only one thing I would have liked was more initiative for QAQC. Sometimes you get lucky and everything goes smoothly without an issue. Unfortunately that didn't happen on this project. There were some setbacks during the construction and certain items that were missed but I did appreciate Ariel builders owning them and making the fixes to ensure a great result. Lawrence, I believe was his name, was absolutely amazing. Answered all my questions and was able to get me scheduled for an appointment today, Friday June 14th at 12pm. I was informed that I would be getting a confirmation call from their scheduler a day before. I received the confirmation call on Tuesday, since the company was going to be closed on Wednesday and Thursday. The lady I spoke to was wonderful and confirmed my appointment with her. Fast forward Friday, I received a call from the gentleman that was supposed to be here at 12pm at 11:28am. I unfortunately did not recognize the number and I was in a meeting with work. No message was left. At 11:29am, one minute late, a different number calls, unfortunately I am still in a meeting with work, but this time they leave a message. Eugene stated that even though I confirmed my appointment for 12pm, they will not be driving out to my house for the consultation because I am not answering my phone. (They called me once!) I called in and spoke to Lawrence again, and he was speechless. He did not understand why Ricky, the landscaper who was providing the consultation, did not stop by my house and he had to drive past my house to get back to the office. Lawrence was very upfront with me and told me he did not understand why Eugene was doing this, except for that the General Manager was out and now he was in charge. He asked if I would like to re-schedule but I told him that I was not interested in a company that can not uphold to a "confirmed" appointment and would not show up due to a single missed call. I would have loved to seen what Ricky would have recommended for my yard, but apparently I will never get that chance, since Ricky and Eugene are running the show while the General Manager is on vacation. read more

I can't comment on their work - but I had one of the strangest experiences with this company. I called to get an estimate and they spend like 10 minutes asking me detailed questions about the job and scheduled an appointment to give an estimate. They then called me two days later to confirm the appointment, then texted me the next day to confirm the appointment (which I confirmed). I kept receiving "job estimate" calls and texts from this company for past 5 days none stop. They were looking for some one named Alex. I explained them very politely that i am not the Alex please remove my number from your list. Then i replied "end" to their text message and got confirmation that I am unsubscribed from their list.
