Dr. Zach listens, asks for feedback, and looks at your posture before every single adjustment. He spends time with his patients and never rushes us out the door. In November 2024, I began experiencing a lot of neck pain. It just continued to get worse and worse. It kept me up at night, and prevented me from getting any real rest. No matter how I stood, sat, or laid down, I would always be in pain. I couldn't think or focus, and always felt agitated. I tried everything to get relief, from decompression tables and decompression pillows to purchasing sleeping pillow after sleeping pillow, steroid shots, nerve ablations, and both topical and oral pain relievers. I saw massage therapists and pain specialists, did physical therapy, had MRI after MRI, and saw chiropractor after chiropractor. The best decision I made was to look for an upper cervical chiropractor. I knew I didn't want to see another cookie-cutter doctor! I knew I needed a doctor who looked outside the box and didn't just crack my neck and then send me out the door. I wanted a doctor who could understand me and was also empathetic. When I found Dr. Zach's website and read his page, I was hopeful I had finally found someone who could truly help me feel normal again. I have been seeing Dr. Zach for about two months now. Prior to that, I had been living with chronic upper cervical, thoracic, and shoulder blade pain for well over a year and a half, and was feeling hopelessness and depressed. After my second appointment with Dr. Zach, I began to feel a million times better with my pain immensely decreased. After an entire week went by without the nagging pain, I was confident enough to say the words out loud: I finally found a doctor who was able to help me! I finally found a doctor who was able to help fix what I thought would be forever broken. I thought I was going to live that way for the rest of my life. But Dr. Zach helped me. I honestly don't know what I would have done without him, and I am truly grateful for his support and expertise. He was the only one who took the time to listen to me and had the right tools to help diagnose my condition. He genuinely thinks through what you tell him and always goes the extra mile for his patients. I will be forever grateful to him because I would probably still be lying in pain and feeling scared if it weren't for his help. I was nervous about seeing a chiropractor at first, but I quickly learned there is a difference between traditional "cracking your neck" chiropractors and upper cervical chiropractors. There was no scary cracking or twisting involved. It's truly amazing what can be accomplished with such gentle, precise adjustments. Now I'm being sent a bill in the mail for $100 dollars simply because I didn't purchase his package (1.5-3k) or come back. This is manipulative and a poor business practice, I wouldve happily paid while I was in the office but now I have to figure out how to call or show up within your very limited hours (work conflict) and it's created such a huge headache for me. I will say that once my body was severely unhappy with me, I was forced to find a suitable replacement. Utica Chiropractic Clinic is very good. I shuffled on into the office and everyone there took very good care of me. Dr. Mark is currently getting me back into shape with gradual adjustments and lots of stretching. He truly cares about my level of pain and doesn't do anything that makes me uncomfortable. He has very good communication and is extremely knowledgeable when it comes to the body's structure. I injured my lower back...and 10 days later...he had me walking kinda like normal. It's a slow process and he does his best to work within my limits. I would also recommend their massage therapist. It's truly an amazing experience. I generally like to get a massage and then get adjusted afterward. If you suffer from chronic back/neck pain, I'd highly recommend Dr. Mark. I just had my first appointment and consultation with McCartney Family Chiropractic this morning…read moreand I'm glad I stumbled upon their practice after my previous chiropractor had retired. I met with Dr. Jen and she was fantastic. She listened to all of my ailments and needs and was a huge help. The front desk staff were also very personable from setting up the appointment on the phone to the in-person visit. I plan on making them my permanent chiropractors and making regular visits going forward. :) They even gave me a nice little gift bag on my way out for my first visit. A nice touch to end the appointment. The initial consultation takes an hour as mine included x-rays and an adjustment. During my last couple appointments, I've noticed that it is hard for them to stay on schedule with assigned appointments. I wasn't seen until 35+ minutes after my assigned appointment time. Without insurance, adjustments are $40. With insurance, it depends on your insurance provider.
