Because I'm a third visit they wanted everything upfront. I don't have The Greatest insurance so it wasn't feasible for me. If you don't have low co-pays. Or if you are not retired. I would look elsewhere. On a positive note they were all very nice. But you think they'd work with people that had higher co-pays.

I went to Macomb chiropractic for a while and got limited results after several years, they billed my insurance for a "diagnostic exam" my insurance deemed experimental. Through simple conversation I divulged info about my car insurance company and they contacted the main company trying to bill my auto insurance claiming I'd been in an accident and that test was related , which made my rates sky rocket and eventually switch insurers and straighten out that mess. Doctor Jim Agrusa is so far above and beyond those types. After only 4 visits my lower back hip region was showing longer lasting results than just 2 days and after I reached my insurance covered limit his office offered other payment plans for continued treatment. In less than a year I went from 3 adjustments a week to 1 every 2 weeks then once a month or as needed , I went 3 years pain free by following Dr Agrusa's follow up care stretching instructions, as pain relief and helping people live better lives is more important than milking insurance companies and bank accounts. This is seriously legit! Shiatsu style massage is on the menu, as well as other typical methods…read more My first time visiting, I opted for a 90 minute session of Thai massage. I set up an appointment ahead of time and they were ready for me when I arrived. A quick restroom visit and I was ready for what lay ahead. Disrobe and get under the sheet. I was quick about it and it was game on. Now if you aren't familiar with Shiatsu, let me tell you - it isn't for the faint of heart. Unlike Swedish or relaxing massage, Shiatsu is more like deep tissue massage on steroids. At similar companies in the past, they use knees, elbows, forearms, and finally, feet to perform the massage. My session today did not include getting walked on, but everything else was utilized. The pressure can be intense at times, but the masseuse can always back off a bit if it gets to be too much. I suppose I need to request medium pressure next time. At various intervals along the way, stretching was employed. I am no spring chicken, and I don't bend as easily as I used to. Actually, I hardly bend much anymore, so the stretching was somewhat intense for me. Again, the masseuse can always back off a bit if need be. Most of my session was face down, as is typical. When it was time to flip over, in addition to massage, there was more stretching to take place. Arms, legs, torso, hands, feet, fingers and toes. They all got stretched. I didn't experience much facial and head massage, but my neck was worked over pretty well. Once the hour-and-a-half session was complete, I felt like a Gumby that had been worked over by a 4 year old! By the time I was dressed and ready to pay on the way out, everything felt fine. The intense massage didn't leave any pain for me to endure. If you think you could benefit from more than a deep tissue massage, this might be the place for you. $80 for an hour, $120 for 90 minutes.
